Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Airport North - Phoenix

When coming from Europe an excellent first night hotel close to the airport and car rentals.

i was only there to sleep ,checked in late and left at 4am to go to the airport

The service at the desk of this hotel at check in and during the entirety of our stay was the worst I have ever experienced. They sold our room out from under us (even though I had pre-paid for the room and we checked in relatively early), tried to get us (4 adults) to stay in a single King room, then offered no other options for us. They finally "found" […] us a double queen. Later, we went down to purchase something from the snack area and no one would come help us. When we picked up the "customer service" phone in the lobby, the line was dead. To top it all off, the coffee maker in the room leaked all the water out of it when we tried to make coffee in the morning! As far as the location goes, it is close to the airport. It is also close to a few strip clubs, adult book stores, and a super scary neighborhood. The hotel itself is nice inside, has good lighting in the parking lot, and is clean. I called Hilton the day after our stay and told them about my experience. They were apologetic and told me they would have the general manager of the hotel contact me. He never did. Hilton's customer service department was great, but this particular hotel's was terrible. Hilton's customer service department contacted me a few days later, apologized again, apologized for the GM of the hotel, and are apparently sending me a certificate for a free night, but I haven't received it yet. Recommended Improvements to the subject hotel: 1. The elevators' doors don't open and close smoothly; the elevator shudders slightly as they travel. 2. The air conditioning unit is so loud when it operated I had to set the temperature high enough that it would not come on while sleeping. less important I could not hear the television when it was running. I really like this chain and was pleased to find one so close to the theater where we had concert tickets. The food at the restaurant was excellent and the wait staff superb. Front desk and housekeeping couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Only hesitation is that I've discovered that I don't love the sleep number beds (any version) and don't […] find them as comfortable as the beds they've replaced. Clean and spacious hotel. My flight was cancelled and had to stay near the airport for a couple days and everyone was very accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel if you plan (or get stuck) to stay near the airport.

Nice hotel but in a bad area. Phoenix is currently cleaning the area up but still a little run down. On a good note it's right next to the airport so it really had no choice but to be in it's current spot. Hotel is nice but my room smelled a little funky as if someone just left. Staff was extremely helpful and nice.

Very clean hotel. Everything was great, including a comfortable chair to watch TV. The desk chair was very ergonomically friendly. The late night snack pantry was ingenious. Staff was top notch. This hotel was much nicer than I expected. Its 10 minutes to the airport and modern, clean, attractive and very comfortable. Internet service is excellent with more than adequate speed. Hotel staff were all very courteous and willing to assist with all questions and requests. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

This large, featureless hotel serves its prime purpose well: it is very close to Sky Harbor Airport and has very reliable shuttle service to and from the airport. Otherwise, it's just a box to sleep in. There are no restaurants nearby, so if you're without a car, you're left with the hotel offering, which is pretty slim and overpriced. The hotel was adequate. The beds were hard and the surroundings were very commercial, industrial. The pool area was bordered by paved area and busy highway. Bar and restaurant were nice, but only open part of the day. Food was good. There were no restaurants within walking distance to accomodate travelers who shuttled from the airport and thus did not […] have a car. Shuttle service to the airport was convenient. We stayed here just to get a head start out of Tucson on our drive back to L.A. after a football game. The hotel is located across from the airport, more or less in the middle of nowhere. The room had high quality furnishings -- the hotel appears to be very new. I would not stay here unless you just want a very nice room for about 25%-%50 less than […] you'd pay for a more central location; or if you needed to be right next to the airport. We stayed there before and after our trip. We used the shuttle to and from the airport which worked out great. They even took us to a place off site for dinner and picked us up. The only down side was the beds were very firm. Also we left our car there so we had to pay an additional parking fee that we were not aware of. spacious room and nice amenities in the halls and lobby!

This is a new hotel. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was also quite nice. We had a relaxing and restful overnight before our return home. The airport is very close but there was not a noise problem.

At first I thought the bed was the hardest thing I have ever tried to sleep in. Then after about 30 seconds the bed starts to form around your body. . . it's fantastic I was asleep within 5 minutes and slept until my wake up call in the morning (which is usually an issue for me).

Perfect for a quick airport stay. Very clean and comfortable

Wonderful hotel for the price! Everything was new and modern. Loved the excercise room and pool. All staff was friendly and helpful. However, the beds were uncomfortable and we did find a lot of debris underneath them. Overall great hotel!

Thia hotel s great. The omlet breakfast was one of the best for a reasonable picr. It wa spotless. The maid actually organized my room fo me.

Overall, we were very pleased with our brief stay at this hotel. The only negative comment on the accomodations is that the beds were a little on the hard side (used to a pillow top). The area appears to be in a transition state, however we felt confident enough to walk to a nearby restaurant one evening. Beautiful hotel with excellent service and staff that was more than helpful. Dinner food was wonderful. Breakfast was usual buffet. Hotel has wide open entry area with comfortable chairs to relax. Highly recommend.

Great hotel if you want to stay close to the Sky Harbor Airport before an early flight.

The hotel was new and the rooms were nice however, the surronding area was a bit unpleasant. They had a very small pool in the front of the hotel where cars driving by could see the people in the pool area. Not sure why the elevators would not have AC considering it was over 110 degrees when we visited the area. The staff was well trained and eager to help. The bar and restaurant were both good. Access from the freeway was good. I will stay there again.

This is a relatively new hotel very close to Phoenix Airport. It is well-appointed and equipped and the rooms and public areas are large and comfortable. Obviously it's mostly used by businessmen but we spent a night and a day relaxing there before an evening flight and were allowed a late checkout. Would definitely recommend it. Friendly staff and great accomodations.

Brand new hotel very spacious and very modern. Very close to phoenix light rail line a short block walk and only a 1 minute ride to downtown phoenix.

room service book cintained menu for lunch. Called for it and was told "we do not offer that service anymore. Dinner starts at five." I explained that there was a room service menu for lunch and the attitude I felt was disconcerned. Enjoyed this hotel previously at another time, but will not return again.

We stayed on our return trip from San Fran. Very large room comfortable bed. We were very impressed.

We had a very nice experience at this hotel. Staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean. Our room was very large and modern, complete with HD flat screen TV. It is near the airport with free shuttle service, which we used.

The restaurant was good and staff was extremely helpful.

After a long flight into town, it was nice to be greeted by staff members who were very friendly and had a great sense of humor. Plus, the food at the hotel restaurant far exceeded my expectations. The hotel was a pleasant surprise for the money, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Lovely hotel, comfortable and convienent to the airport. Breakfast outstanding and included with the room! Not many restaurants nearby, but Scottsdale is not far with a great selection. The pool left something to be desired, definitely not for lounging - small, right next to the road!
