The restaurant is apparently very popular with the locals. So, traditional and old style, but also friendly, and cosy. You'll have to walk a bit to get to Canterbury city centre however, unless you are by car.

South Lodge is a very comfortable B&B within walking distance of the town centre and Viking beach. Lovely, welcoming owners. Comfortable bed. Literally everything I might need had been considered, including several things I wouldn't have thought of but which were thoughtful extras. The guest house was in a quiet location not far from the town centre. It was a very friendly welcome. The guest house was in a perfect location at 5 mins walking distance to main Broadstairs town and shops. The Guest house owners were friendly, breakfast was really fresh and with a little difference to the norm. Absolutely fantastic service!Would recommend to everyone who wants to stay and experience amazing weekend in a lovely area near the seaside.
