Hotel is located by a noisy high traffic road which makes half of the rooms quite uncomfortable. By far the biggest nuisance however is the temperature in the rooms though. Even if the outside temperature is less than +20 C the rooms are at around 27-30 degrees. It must be torture if the outside temperature climbs to + 30 or so! There is no AC and one […] must keep the windows open which again makes the outside noise even more untolerable. We found the reason for the hot temperature eventually when we noticed that the kitchen was particularly hot. Each room has its own water boiler which is located underneath the sink. It is poorly insulated and radiates a lot of heat around. The only way to fix this one was to switch off the circuit breaker for the kitchen but this is not too convienient either because it kills the fridge and lights too. We changed the rooms during our vist and the problem was the same in both rooms. Obviously there are other problems inheriting from the need to keep the windows open all the time: People are smoking on the balconies --> smoke gets to your room too. People have parties at their rooms and balconies --> noise gets to your room. Neighbouring buildings have also balconies towards your windows opening an unblocked view to everything you do (can not keep the curtains closed when windows are open). The apartments do not really have any cooking ware nor utensils but you can get them if you pay extra. Daily cleaning is below standards as there was plenty of dust behind the sofas + dirty hankies and other stuff. So in a nutshell, value for money in this hotel is rather poor and we wouldn't recommend it to other families staying in Oslo with kids. Lisätietoja

My worst stay in an hotel in Norway. All in all the hotel looks ok as well as the room. But the description of the room didn't match really. And problems just piled up during my short stay without hotel personal doing anything. 1. room not cleaned while arriving after 7pm! 2. No tea/coffee maker in an apartment room, no glasses, plates, knifes, nothin […] at all! No even a plastic glass in the bathroom. 3. No soap, too few shampoo samples (2 for 4 nights) even after asking the fron desk. 4. Problem with heating, room too warm, impossible to sleep properly which is a nightmare with 9 hours jetlag. Nothing done by the hotel. Window open all night long. 5. But the room is semi-underground with window on a back street so car noise from early morning. Lisätietoja

One of the best service i ever had.

The hotel is very close to a metro station (1 minute walking) and to the Munchen Museum (5 minutes walking). We were going to the center also on foot (20 minutes between the hotel and the central railway station). We booked a room with a complete equipped kitchen (microwave, fridge, cookers, but no pots, glasses, plates etc) and considering the prices […] of Oslo it was the right choise. We were buying the food in the supermarkets close to the hotel and having the dinner in the room. The room was very big but in 5 days they didn't tide it up and they didn't change the towels. The entrance to the room was directly on the road, completely indipendent from the reception. The first night we wre feeling a bit unsafe, but I have to say the nothing strange occurred and that the room is very well insulated from the sounds. In general I recomend this hotel because it has a good relation between price and quality (at least for the rate that we paid in comparison with the rates of other hotels in the city). Lisätietoja

Although rather soulless, this modern hotel was pretty god for the price. The room was clean & decent, and had all the facilities that you may require, including broadband access. The restaurant left a little to be desired, and we had to wait for over an hour for a simple pasta meal (we were however given some free beer to lessen the pain). This hotel, […] as it's name states, is an apparthotel, which means that your room is designed as a suite with a living area, separate sleeping room and a kitchen area off the living area. The kitchen area contains a kettle, some cups, spoons, and tea & coffee. You can rent the full cutlery/crockery works from reception if you want to cook stuff. Note that this hotel does NOT supply breakfast unless you pay extra. It is conveniently situated near a tube station, but the area is not the most salubrious. Even though, my journey was already paid, i did have to give a credit card or 2000 NOK as a guarantee for the room. I didn't know about this rule and I could have been in a big trouble...

The room was spacious & the room service was superb. The price was affordable. On the flip side, parking comes with surcharge & has limited parking space. Breakfast is in-addition-to, though the price would be similar if you eat outside.

Nice hotel only three minutes from the Metro (T-bane). I stayed here as a single traveler in both a "single" room and a "double" room. The single room was nicer and more what I needed. The bed is better (one larger mattress instead of two smaller mattresses shoved next to each other) and the room had a desk. The double room had no desk, just a rickety […] fold out "table" and you had to sit up on the bed to eat/work there and a second closet where the desk should have been. Both type rooms had a small refrigerator, microwave, sink, and stovetop. If you're travelling alone, definitely get the single room. Lisätietoja

Just stayed at this hotel with a couple friends (August 2011). When we arrived, we were upgraded to a suite which was very comfortable for our long weekend stay. The hotel is very conveniently located near the Metro and only 2 stops from Oslo S station - very quick and easy to get into town. We were also able to walk to nearby neighborhoods for great […] dinners - Grunerlokka & Gronlands. There's also several grocery stores so we were able to pick up some food to keep at the hotel, although there's a full service bar and restaurant at the hotel. Would definitely stay here again. hotel was far from center, and tram number one didn't run in august so difficult overall.and shower broken and no fridge in room..

We enjoyed the hotel very much but it was very warm and hot with no way to contact the front desk. Very poor information about how to contact the front dest but otherwise we did enjoy the room.

Quality of facilities is great. Nice furniture and decor (modern). The location was ok... but convinient (across the street from the T bannen). The bed was as hard as rock.

we stayed in the appartment in the hotel. the area was clean and comfortable but was the room was way smaller than acutually displayed online. it didnt include any washing machine and the appartment stating that only some rooms have them. you did have to pay for all cooking untensils, all that were there were two cups, two sauses and two teaspoons. […] no pots or plates or even a knife. over all though for the few days i the hotel was perfect for our stay. we had a baloney and the staff were very friendly and helpful Lisätietoja

Hotel in general wasn't satisfactory for a 4 star hotel. There wasn't any hot water in two days. When I told reception that there isn't any hot water they didn't change the room instead they made me the first day to take shower in another room and get back to my original room which is two floors apart. The next day I called again the reception and made […] a complaint. Hotel managers argument was " Did you take shower more than 10 minutes". I would not recommend this hotel for other travelers. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Best Western Kampen Hotel. Service und Sauberkeit des Zimmers kann nicht besser sein. Mit der u-bahn ist mann in 5 minuten ins Zentrum. Wir haben ein Apartment-Zimmer mit Küche und Badezimmer und war sehr schön und bequem. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.

Un appartement genial. Avec un acces exterieur a l'hotel qui permet de faire sa vie comme on l'entend. Petit bemol : le chauffage extremement fort' sachant qque nous avons eu un beau temps a oslo ca faisait trop. Le manque dde vmc dans la salle de bain. Les travaux apparant dans le sas d'entree de la chambre. Au niveau du personnel, tres bien. Sauf […] une blonde qui a essayé de nous arnaquer de 100 kr au petit dejeuner. Lisätietoja

Superoverasket og skal absolutt dit igjen! En skuffende ting var varmvannet på badet. det var ikke nok til at to stk kunne ta en god lang dusj som man ofte gjør etter endt reise og anmkomst. Dette prøvde vi å finne utav i resepsjonen men fikk ikke svar eller tilbakemelding på dette.

Prima appartement, ook geschikt voor langere tijd.

Ble tatt godt i mot av hyggelig betjening, fikk fint rom med liten kjøkkenkrok, var greit å parkere og grei frokost. Positiv opplevelse!

Forbauset over at ikke frokosten var med i prisen. Frokosten var dårlig og servitørene var mer opptatt av å finne ut om gjestene hadde betalt enn å yte service med påfylling av det som manglet.

Dårlig opplevelse - fikk rom som ikke var ferdig rengjort. Positiv opplevelse - bra service fra resepsjonsmedarbeiderne. De sørget selv straks for å rengjøre rommet når de ble varslet.

Hyggelig mottagelse , fint restaurant med glass vegg slik man kan se live rundt i gatene, og rommene får deg til å føle deg hjemme.

Hotellet var helt OK, og ret billigt da jeg var der. Konceptet er dog lidt forvirret: Det er et "lejligheds"-hotel, så værelset har kogeplader, køleskab etc.. Men der er ingen gryder og kun éen kop og en teske til kaffe. Og køleskabet var ikke tilsluttet og kunne så vidt jeg kunne se ikke tilsluttes, da ledningen ikke kunne nå. Værelset er også lavet […] om ser det ud til, så de sengelamper der er, nu er i fodenden... Der var dog en standerlampe, jeg flyttede hen ved siden af sengen, så der var læselys. Beliggenhed er lidt udenfor selve centrum, men t-banen kører meget hurtigt dertil (ca. 5 minutter) og stationen er 3 minutter fra hotellet, så det blev aldrig et problem. Alt i alt, OK, fordi det var ret billigt for Oslo, men jeg ville ikke vælge det ellers. Får jeg tilsvarende priser en anden gang, tager jeg det nok igen. Lisätietoja

Fikk oppgradert rom, så det ble et meget hyggelig opphold . Veldig bra service også !
