Hard to locate off freeway, But surrounding area had plenty of food options. Late check in hotel staff was a little short. Over all the resort was nice and convienient.

Quality of service

I prepared my family for a Sea World vacation partially based on what the hotel had to offer. First strike was not having an available crib for my 1year old. The night woman at the front desk claimed that "they" had taken all the old cribs and not delivered the replacements yet. Had the web info been correct I would have brought a portable crib. As […] a result my son had a horrible time getting to sleep on the pile of blankets they gave us for him to sleep on. We didn't want him on the bed with us for fear of him falling off while we slept. Not that that mattered since we didn't get to sleep as he was up most of the night. Strike 2 was the bathroom. The bathroom door didn't fully close leaving the toilet as a prime target for my mischevious monster. Kinda hard to sleep with one eye open wondering if he'd wake up and go for a swim. Strike 3 was the quality of the room. Water damage on the walls, curtain barely hanging on the wall. Top bedspreads that smelled of vomit, and mattresses that felt like someone put sheets directly on springs. The next morning I expressed my concerns to the front desk clerk expecting some resolve for our experience but all I got was a insincere apology and an offer to look into the crib issue and see what they could do to fix it. None of that helps me. We were only there for 1 night and having cribs for the next family that requests one doesn't get me back my night of sleep which was the entire reason I wasted my money on this hotel in the first place. We were stoked to find this hotel at such a nice price being that we were really only using it to sleep. However, the reason I picked the hotel was for their complimentary breakfast that was advertised online. The actual breakfast was tea, coffee, and danishes from 6am-9pm. It was a real disappointment. When I first arrived they sent me to a room with a carpet draped over a big fan which was running (presumably drying it out) and an awful smell. Ihad to go back to the office and tell them this was unacceptable. They did not appologize, they merely sent me to another room. Bring your own hair dryer because they do not have them in the room. The one that they did have for a deposit of $10.00 ran for 3 minutes at a time. :( It overheated after 3 minutes of running. Location was good. You get what you pay for. :)

The staff was rude. They refused to clean the rooms, stating "language barrier" difficulties. You don't want to stay here.

friendly staff

Clean comfortable and affordable....who could ask for more! Management was very attentive to our concerns for a clean, quiet, comfortable room. Not a 5 star hotel, but 5 star service and attention to detail is yours for the asking. I had read some varying comments on this hotel before deciding to book, so was somewhat skeptical based on the reviews. […] But the rate was half of that of a major chain right next door, so I took the chance. I emailed the hotel to express my concerns ahead of my arrival, and was met with nothing but professionalism. I will stay here again based on my recent experience, and commend the Manager for taking the time to ensure we were satisfied. I booked this hotel in the middle of spring break after two others were completely booked so I guess I got lucky. That being said, I booked the hotel from hotels.com without any mention of smoking... and when I walked in she couldn't find my reservation. Once she found it she informed me the only rooms they had were smoking. So watch out for that. I […] propped the windows and door open for a few hours, but the next day everything I had smelled like smoke. this was a great location for the surrounding music plans and was nice for that the management let the sillyness go on.

This is just your basic room to sleep. No place you actually want to go back to at night except to sleep. There is a bed, a fridge and microwave. The only reall ybad thing was that as soon as we walked into the room i looked up on the wall and there was a ROACH crawling on the wall. i immidiateley grabbed my sandal and killed it be4 any one else saw it

great location, lot of diffrent resturant around in walking distance, friendly employe.room was ok .

This hotel was bargain priced and now I understand why. There were always people standing on the balconies smoking and hanging out as if they lived there for a long time. The hotel is pet friendly but the 2 dogs in the room next to me were not friendly to the slightest noise. We stayed there on New Year Eve for bring our infant to the sea world. The location was perfect especially when you have a car. We didn't see much around the hotel as the purpose of staying there was just to go to the sea world but there was big stores and restaurants close by so that was very handy. This place wasn't a fancy place to stay at all but […] if you are looking for a place where cheap, clean enough and having a roof over your head then I'd recommend this place. Works for those with pets. The breakfast is just an overload of sugar. A bit nasty on that front. But, friendly staff. Convenient location is probably the best thing

I was surprised with the quality and cleanliness of this hotel. I chose this hotel because I took my four legged to dog beach and didnt expect great things but I can say that it more than meet my expectations. Is not the closest hotel to dog beach but is in a walking distance, there are all type of places to eat across the street, perfect location overall. […] My only peeve is the bed. My plan was not to relax and sleep all day, I was able to sleep but the bed was not comfortable, once that you are there for 3 days your back starts to feel it. My friend & I stayed only one night, but the hotel room was very well-kept & clean!! Location of Heritage Inn is great, close access to various San Diego attractions. Easy check in & check out process. A little disappointed with the free breakfast selection (just pastries and coffee or tea), but since free I should complain. LOL.. We didn't even get […] a chance to try the internet so no comment on its speed. Overall - Heritage Inn is a great choice considering the low price. 1. The hotel Internet doesn't work. I stay there for four days and cannot have Internet during the four days.

The hotel is conveintly located,close to Sea World..really needs to upgrade beds, felt like I was sleeping in a hole....When turning on water in bathroom the sound of the pipes were screeching. The neighborhood wasn't the best..most likely would find a different hotel next time..

hotel smells as you come in, room is very small and neighborhood is not that good. our room is next to the street. you get what you pay for. the only thing nice about it is it's very close to seaworld.

The only thing good about this hotel is that its near Sea World. The room smelled disgusting. The bed was so uncomfortable, and the people working there were talking to each other so loud that the cooler/heating system couldn't hide there voices... They were practically yelling at each other.... Thumbs down!!! Worse hotel I've stayed in!

I read all the reviews before booking so I knew I wasn't getting a 4 star hotel but this was way below what I expected. My family of four, was first put into a room where the mattresses sunk in the middle, the frame exploded in agony when you sat on it and this Nonsmoking room smelled like a bar. We tried to turn on the heater but couldn't get it to […] work, so I tried to call the front desk but there was no dial tone. When I explained my broken amenities the clerk didn't find the phone not working a surprise, just the heater. We got relocated outside the pool. Room was an improvement...nicer mattresses and frame, working heater and phone and no smoke smell. My kids wanted to go in the jacuzzi so hubby took them and a guy we saw earlier was getting out. Later we saw same guy panhandling on the corner and hubby said there was no lock on the gate!!! So I guess the pool is open to anyone..who's to say said guy wasn't bathing in the jacuzzi!! We almost hightailed it to the Holiday Inn Express but decided to tough it out. So while the heater worked all night it kept switching from heat to a/c then heat again. Ugh!! Never again! Value for money .. especially if you're budget concious. very convenient to attractions like sea world & zoo and close to city center. the ONLY thing that was a big issue to us was the really poor internet connectivity (connection is very bad and didnt get connected to any of their wifi spots) and the speeds are VERY poor.

I chose this hotel for my stay as it was very near to the Sea World and was priced decently. I found the check-in process very easy and peaceful. The room was clean & tidy. The extra bed i asked for was already present in the room when i entered the room. The hotel staff was nice and responded quickly by opening another room for me, when I by mistake […] locked the bathroom of my room. The complimentary breakfast was icing on the cake. I think this hotel had a great location for nearby attractions and restaurants but the environment though it may not be the hotel's fault was ghetto. Their was several different people wondering around that seemed homeless or drugged out...

You get what you pay for in a dead end street... No glam, just comfy beds. PET FRIENDLY!!

I ususally stay near the beach, however, due to a sports event for my daughter, this hotel was recommended to me. Not only did the staff have my room ready at 9am (3pm is usually check in) they were able to honor adjoining rooms! I was so happy to find there were nice sized refridgerators in each room as well. The rooms are not spacious but what you pay is what you get. No issues with parking and location is good.
