Nora Chaweng Hotel - Ko Samui

We stayed at a luxury resort before checkig in to nora chaweng so our experience has to be seen in relation to this. We booked this hotel because it was cheap and close to the beach and so it was. We realised that it is important for us to see the beach or at least some trees from our window to feel like we are in thailand but if this is not important […] for you the hotell is nice, the rooms are good (smells a bit funny but no biggie) the staff is very helpful and friendly, you get beach towels from reception and its just a small walk to the beach. However I would not recomend anyone to stay in chaweng. We thought it was crouded, overpriced and not a nice place to be. Before we came to chaweng we stayed at choeng mon and we liked this more (fishermans village is also a nice place to go for dinner). But overall we thought this hotel was good for the price. Not right on the beach but just 3 minute walk from it. Lousu pool area: Sun does not even shine on the pool area. Close to everything but not noisy place.

First thing is to make sure your ride knows which Nora in Chaweng you are going to, I saw at least 3 on the main road. Hotel was fairly new although my shower was falling apart. Breakfast was included and quite good (made to order eggs too). Only downside is that they are not "lady friendly". It cost 1000 baht to have a guest visit. We were really impressed with this hotel upon arrival, especially for the price. However, that soon faded when we reached the second floor of the hotel and were slapped in the face with the smell of sewage/mildew. This smell persisted in our room in the bathroom area. On top of that, my beach towel had stains all over the back of either rust or blood, […] and they didn't change the sheets. The pluses were that the location was very close to the beach (across the street and down a block through another hotel, Aqua) and nightlife, the breakfast was good, and there was wifi in the rooms. the hotel was very clean and the staff where very friendly and helpful, but the bath towels need tobe replaced as they were thread bare and the rooms could do with a lick of paint to freshen them up, but the staff made up for this . this hotel was very good value for the money, and we would stay there again if needed.

Good service, modern setting. Close to the action, however it can get a little noisy at night if you are not out partying.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed in the Nora Chaweng for 5 nights in total (2 at the beginning and 3 at the end) either end of travelling the nearby islands. The hotel itself is clean, well run and in a great location. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the aircon is much needed and brilliant! It's located on the main chaweng road but far enough […] away to escape the noise of the Chaweng Night Life. Saying that Soi Green Mango is only a 5 minute walk (or 10 minute stumble) away and passes McDonalds and Burger King for the much needed end of night fast food! The hotel has safes in the rooms, security on the door and the reception is manned all night. Rooms were cleaned daily and they provide you with beach towels also which was a nice touch. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, young, old, singles, couples, groups, and families and will definitely be staying here again when we return in December. Enjoy! Lisätietoja

If you are looking for a decent, clean, relatively new hotel with a budget, do try Nora Chaweng. Stay there for 2 nights recently and i must say i will do it again if i am not looking at hotel facilities and if i will spending my day out at the beach most of the time.

We stayed at the Nora Chaweng for 4 nights in June 2010. The staff were friendly and courteous, the rooms modern and clean. the bathroom was large with a great sized tub. Breakfast was all of the usual suspects and tasty. The pool was great as it was under the building and in constant shade the pool was really cool and refreshing after a hot and muggy […] day out. Not the usual very warm pools you get in Thailand that offer no relief from the heat and humidity. Nicely situated,clean comfortable and friendly staff,reasonably priced, a real must if the budget allows it,although not beach front this hotel is perfect for late nights out in the lively Chaweng Beach, only minutes from all the action,will certainly use again.

Nora Chaweng ligger midt i hovedgata. Kort vei til alt. 3 minutters gange til stranda. Rent og fint hotell med god service.

제가 호텔을 3번이동해서 확실히 느끼는것인지 등급에따른 써비스인진는 모르지만 확실히 불친절인지 무표정인지 그렇습니다 수건도 2개 덜렁 방에 있어서 추가로 달라고해야했었고 뭐 부탁하면 대답이없고 그냥 슥가버리고 한참있다가 대답해줍니다 체크아웃시에도 체크아웃한다고 말도안하고 로비에 앉아있었는데 가는거같아보이니까 체크아웃도 안한상태인데 남자직원시켜 방에 미리 가보라고하고 방을 열어서 보는게 보이더군요 2층이였거든요 방위치가 모든면에서 직원들은 친절하지 않았구요 단지그냥 시내에서 가깝다는것뿐 수영장도 10시에 닫습니다 말해주지 않아서 몰랐는데 갈려고하니 닫았다고 합니다 차웽비치에 접해있는 호텔에 차라리 예약하십시요 차웽비치에 […] 접해있지 않으니 엄청불편합니다 그리고 침대도 딱딱하고 불편합니다 화장실은 환기가 잘안되서 냄새나고 조명도 환하게 안들어와서 답답합니다 돈좀들여서 차라리 탑마트 근처에 싼호텔로 하세요 거기랑 얼마차이안나는거같은데 Lisätietoja

The room was not as specified. Got a smoking room and one bed instead of two that we had ordered. Staff was not helpful or asunderstanding at all. Tried to get en extra sheet/cover but theyed charge extra for that. Pool was not so big and under roof, and with alot of beach being private for other hotels meant it hard to find a decent place to stay at […] the beach. The hotel was clearly a disappointment for us. 干净卫生好 除了看不到海 其他都很好 距离海滩2，3分钟 吃饭地方选择多 酒吧多,查温街最好的一段, 附近还有人妖秀 点杯饮料（100泰铢～300）就能看，强力推荐。

au check-in , la première phrase pour le client se résume à : si vous ramenez un transexuel dans l'hotel cela vous coutera 1000baths la chambre est bien sur totalement différente des photos présente sur le site qui embellissent clairement l'hotel. la chambre est minuscule ,sale (cheveux dans la salle de bains , cannettes de biere sous le lit ) , pas […] de pression dans la douche , seulement 2 toute petites serviettes et un rouleau de papier toilettes dans une chambre trois personne .
