"Overall--good, a few suggestions"
I spend 1 week/month in Richmond for business. For the last 2 years, I have stayed at the Wingate in the West End. Last trip, it took 14 minutes to get warm water (it never got hot), so I decided to try someplace new. Overall, the good outweigh the bad at Koger. Let's start with the good 1) Room service was fast and food was very good. 2) Heating/AC […] unit is effective and quiet 3) Check-in was quick and friendly. They offered several restaurant suggestions in response to my inquiry and provided menus. 4) 42" LG TV (but there's an annoying 3 sec delay when changing channels. Not the hotel's fault, but why would anyone buy an LG TV?) 5) Lots of hangers (important to me since I stay for 5 days each visit) Areas for improvement/things to know. Note: most of these are minor issues. 1) Sheets are very thin and not changed during your visit. Most hotels offer the ability to easily requst a sheet change. 2) Replacement of toiletries was hit and miss 3) Coffee supplies include both regular and decaf coffee, but only caffeinated tea bags. Also, paper travel cups (w/lids) instead of mugs would be helpful. 4) Mattress was soft (didn't seem like it had been replaced in the renovation). 5) Bathroom vanity is low. "Convenient and worth the money"
I stayed in this hotel overnight on a business trip. The location was ideal, and the room was comfortable and well appointed. The only thing I disliked was an extremely strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway, but not in my room (I am not sure how that was possible, but it did not smell in the room at all, whereas I thought I was going to suffocate […] while walking to the room from the elevator). Interestingly, all the rooms along the hallway had a No Smoking sign on them! The bathroom was recently updated with a granite counter and nice tile on the floor. The hotel provided a lot of extras: a small refrigerator and a microwave in the room, as well as a bath robe. I would stay in this hotel again if I came to the area. Lisätietoja
"worth every penny!"
Have two young boys 7 and 9. Somehow the hotel catered to both the young kids and parents...and grandparents for that matter. Very friendly staff, loved the room, and kids loved the pool hours...practically never closes and of course their choice of pillows! "Fine but a little out dated..."
We made fairly last minute reservations and we at least had a place to stay. It was a little dissappointing that the first room we were given had a bit of a water odor but it was on the week following the terrential downpours of hurricanes Irene and Lee. "good room for money"

Good location. Not 100% satisfied..I am not sure why hotels put the soap dish in the shower at head level. Somewhat clean. The bed was comfortable and the staff was so so.
