Cabana Cay by Oaseas Resorts - Panama City Beach

Did not have any towels in the room, and the carpet needs to be replaced or have a real good cleaning, also could not lock the patio door.

My stay was fine. The one main issue I have is that this reservation was paid a month in advance but upon check in I was charged an additional $118 for a housekeeping fee and renters insurance. I was traveling on a tight budget and this unexpected charge caused unnecessay stress to my family.

It was not a short walk to the beach. Its was a very long and frustrating walk. We could not even drive because there was no where to park the car. We had to pay a 40.00 damage fee and was told that we would not get this back even if there was nothing damaged. Also we had to pay like 118.00 cleaning fee that was also not aware off. We book it through […] hotels.com will not do that again. We tried to get sheet for my son all week finally on the last night they finally got them for him. There were no blankets either. And what about that sheet that we had to use to inspect the condo with. We had to report ever little thing wrong that we saw so that we would not be charged for something that was already torn up before we got there. Then had to do all dishes and take out all trash. this place was disgusting! Paid a cleaning fee for a dirty condo. There was a hand print on our wall and the fridge was still filthy! The toaster had rust in it. The sofa bed still had crumbs in it. I told the front desk that our room was still dirty and all she did was wipe it up. It was extremely gross! Service was horrible and the location was behind […] a Winn-dixie?! They never answered the phone. they didn't have enough cash to pay me my deposit back? What Kind of place doesn't have enough money? everything was wrong about this place. The resort was awesome. We had no trouble checking in or out. No extra fees. Everyone was friendly. I would definitly go back again.

Behind a plaza across the large parking lot and busy road then about 2 blocks to the beach. BUT the beach was lovely. Our unit had no utensils took a whole day to get spoons & forks, we had to eat 2 meals with plastic that I thankfully brought from home.

Really great for kids, teens and young adults. The WinDixie is a great help.

I think that this hotel is too strict. Our guest who come to visit us should not have to pay $25 to visit when paid all this money to stay there that's just terrible and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This place did not allow guests and did not warn others about this policy beforehand. Guests were charged $25 a day and had to be off the premise at 10 pm. Being Spring Break and in college, this was absurd and turned off the idea of me and all my friends staying there again. It felt more like being supervised in prison with these visiting hours than […] Spring Break and enjoying the times with my friends. I was also wrongly informed about a security deposit for which i was charged $500 instead of the $140 I was informed of when I called a month before arriving on the trip. The grounds were illy maintained with rusted paint, a swampy mosquito filled creek in between the only two buildings, and was located in the parking lot behind Winn Dixie's. After arriving and voicing my complaints, I kept being told there was nothing they could do. I later drove to Oaseas offices and was upgraded to a better room and partially refunded for my security deposit, but it took that much drastic action to get any response from this company. when making reservations you should know exactly how much to pay at that time:not ge there and find out later you owe more.also what happen to customer service.no wash rags.must wash your own towels because there is no maid service,yet your charged for maid service.the only positive;s out of the stay was security was wonderful,pools were comfortable.there […] was fries in my room when we arrived and the day before we left finally someone came to clean because of complaints from me. Payed all that money and you for even get toliet paper, you have to buy your own. Among other things they are strict on sercritcy, if you bring a visitor up to your room 20 extra dollars. So many hidden feas too.

The rooms and pool were relatively nice but the location and staff are terrible. Watch out for the hidden fees.

This is a huge complex located behind a grocery store complex on Front Beach Rd. The per night was reasonable but they hit you up for damage deposit (we are seniors staying a couple of nights) and a $75.00 cleaning fee. It would have been better to have stayed at the Holiday Inn. NOT WORTH THE COST. We will not stay there again.

This condo could be nice if it had a staff who showed some effort. First off it wasn't very clean, second the water reaked of rotten eggs,oh and NO HOT WATER!!! The shower head was barely screwed on with a crack in it when my husband got a surprising blow to the head with it while trying to take a shower! The couch bed was pathetic, the small pull out mattress was more of a thin comforter covered in hair and debri. Although there were some plusses with it being secluded and the room size was good for the price, but no beach view and no heated pool really made me not want to return even if the pool was really nice just not swimmable in the month of January when we were there. this is condo was very unorganized, the bed was not made, the sink & the tub was stop up, the chairs @ the table was broken, my family & I stay away from the condo, only slept there. will not go back!!!!!!!

I paid more on the cleaning fees then i did on the room. We went during bike week and on the hotels website it said "Park your bike where it will shine" the only part of the hotel that was anywhere near the main rd was th OLD office, and it was run down! The first room we were put in, the floors were so nasty that wouldnt let mychild walk on them in […] his sandles for fear of what he would get. The office is not in the same location as the hotel. The A/C unit is in the bedroom. The guest bathroom doesn't have any storage. Cookware is limited. Apartments have no personality. The beach access is not across the street. We had to park at the grocery store and walk a good distance with the kids. The cleaning fee is ridiculous comparing to the cleanliness […] of the rooms. Our sheets were dirty and our carpet was REALLY stained. There were roaches in the kitchen because the weather strip was gone beneath the door. No housekeeping. Not enough towels for the amount of people the room sleeps. Everything was in driving distance. The pool was very nice. Ended up checking out early and going elsewhere. The worst hotel ever i stayed so far, many hidden charges, until you pay you wont get room keys, no front desk support at night, no internet, no room service until you checkout room (though you already paid for service above $100) I will never ever recommend this hotel for any one.

Very pleased with the service and room. Super friendly staff. I would recommend this place to many others and return yearly. Awesome pool and wonderful amenities. The hotel is located across from the beach. It is walking distance to the dock opening. The room was clean and smelled fresh. I enjoyed cooking my meals and washing my clothes before returning back home. My upsets were the extra resort fees that they add once you check in. I was never told before I booked the hotel. Overall I would come back again.

Was booked for two nights......however did not stay either night due to very run down conditions inside the room. Broken chairs under the kitchen table, white pleather chair was disgusting, couch was in terrible condition. The entire unit was in need of many repairs. Very nasty! Price was way out of the ballpark for this funky place. It's very mis-leading on the website, not close to the beach, rooms are small, dirty and not comfortable. This is an old place with a fresh coat of paint on the exterior. We had stains on walls, carpet, bed. Furniture was ripped and torn.

They tell u that u have paid for all your fees when your on the phone with them but when u get there they charge u 119$ cleaning fee... however we never had one person come to the room and clean it... and it instructs u to clean the room before u leave. the location was great. short walk to the beach. pool was beautiful. however, this is not the place if your looking for comfort. the room was average for the price, however it was dirty, smelled, and the sofa bed needs to go, it was awful or at least replaced.

The ad said it was a short walk to the beach. That is nonsense. It is a long walk with a heavy traffic street to cross. There was no internet or wifi. Worst of all, there were fees adding up to $112 dollars which were in addition to the cost of the room and taxes, etc. We would have walked away but we would have been out the money originally paid. The best deal around: This was a fabulous stay. We absolutely loved the pool area. There was a d.j. each afternoon. The price could not be beat! Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely come back!!

The best part of the hotel is the large pool! It was easily the largest hotel pool that we have ever seen.

The hotel was beautiful, both inside and out. It was spacious and close to the beach and really made the whole vacaton experience much mor enjoyable. The price was very god for the amenities and we will definitely be returning!!

The hotel room was new and modern but did not have the finishing touches such as pictures and curtains to make it more "homey". The kitchen was adequately stocked to prepare meals. It was very close to the beach and the grocery store and Pier Park. The pool was very large and great for the kids. The kids loved the nightly pool parties. My room was very clean and it was a very good deal for the price and the quality of the hotel room. However, the customer service was absolutely horrible at the check in office. The women were rude and messed up a transaction on my credit card so I was without much money through the trip because I had to wait for the money to go back on to my card.

We went as a couple vaction n it was overall a really nice place to stay. I would recommend anybody to stay there. We called down to the office to let them know that a pattio chair had broken and less then ten mins someone was there to replace the chair, konw thats good service.

We stayed at Cabana Cay July 2011. For the most part, we had a really nice stay. When we arrived, I was somewhat worried. There were several people at the front desk who were complaining about their rooms. Before I checked in, I requested to review the room. Fortunately, our room was very neat, clean, and orderly. It has a zero depth that contains a water mushroom and fountains and slopes up to 5 ft. One thing that was misleading is how faraway the beach is. I am familiar with Panama City so when the address was Front Beach Road, I expected the resort to be directly across the street. The resort check-in is on Front Beach Road (beside Winn Dixie). However, the resort itself is about 1/2 mile behind Winn Dixie. Also, there is not a public beach access across the street. When we went to the beach we ended up driving because it was way too far to take a small child, chairs, toys, etc. For the $$, it was nice and we had a good time. I will try to make this review as non-biased as possible. The hotel room was very nice, but lacked a lot of standard furnishings. Most places that come equipped with a kitchen offer furnishings for the kitchen, even though this one was furnished, it still lacked several things that most places offer, such as a blender... The couch (if you can call it […] that) was barely even in sitting condition... The bunk beds along with the couch maybe had a 6 inch piece of foam on the for the mattress. It says "quick walk to the beach", this is a lie, the only public beach access is almost a mile away, I do not consider this a quick walk. Beware of the rooms that say ocean view, because these are on the top floor, where you can indeed see the ocean, but its mostly blocked by other condos. In my opinion, where the hotel was located, it is not worth the price, spend a little extra and stay on the beach. The staff seemed like they could care less what you did, which might explain the shape of the place, the only that seemed to do his job was the security guard. The Hotel was fine it had some issues but they were willing to help to fix them and i will use them again if i have to.

I have been going visiting PCB for the past 5 years. I have always stayed in another location, which has been sold and was not available. I have had good experiences with Hotels.com when booking a hotel in the past. Misrepresentation by Hotels.com and Cabana Cay are an understatement. The only thing that was true to form was the picture of the pool. […] My request were clear when I booked this reservation and was told I could not cancel with out a being charged by the hotel. I saw no need for that since i love the beach and had not had a bad experience before. When I arrived, I was extremely disappointed that the resort was not "across the street from the beach". it was located "off.off Front Beach, behind the Winn Dixie.i was charge a $78.00 cleaning fee and a $40.00 waiver. that was not told to me when i made reservation. The walls were marked, dirty and chipped. kitchen items were sad.3 unmatching juice glasses and 1 6oz glass. 4 forks and old scratched up teflon pans. not enought to make a meal. the bedroom carpet was black and it was a cheap white carpet.no batteries in remotes, light bulbs burned out. it was like i was having a nightmare. My most important request(and I was assured) was that i could walk out onto my balcony to have my coffee in the morning and face the pool. That too was a lie!! My room was overlooking a dirty, moldy drainage ditch and vacant lot. the only way i could see the pool is if i hung over my balcony railing and cld see a palm tree and a tip of the pool. We were told it was a King Suite w/bunk beds a pull out queen sofa. When arriving, they advised me we don't have any King only queens. Door knob lose, chair broken dirty carpet, bedframe sharp dangerous and all furniture very cheap. We could not walk to the beach. We had to drive and park in the winn dixie pking lot and then walk with our chairs and cooler to find out there was NO beach access for at least a half a mile or so.My summer vacation was ruined. There are hidden fees that the resort do not tell you about until you check in. Then the service is poor and the resort is dirty. I did not get the room I booked. I booked a 2 bedroom resort that suppose to have a queen bed and 2 twin or standard beds and I got 2 queens instead. The plates and glasses were dirty and most of the lights did not work.

The condo we stayed in was very clean and comfortable but there was absolutely NO SERVICE. When paying such expensive service fees, one would think that the room would be serviced daily but just as other customers have complained...this place does not clean your room after you arrive, we had to take our own trash out each day, and no fresh towels were […] brought to the room.
