Vanha ja hieman vinksallaan oleva rakennus hyvällä paikalla rannan äärellä. Vanha rakennus antoi nostalgiset puitteet asumiselle kaltevine lattioineen, kapeine portaineen ja hienoine tiloineen. Hotellin ruokaterassi oli oiva paikka viettää iltaa. Merellinen tuuli piti huolen, ettei huone ollut liian kuuma ilmastoinnin puuttumisesta huolimatta.

"Good for price"
It was fine for the price. Not a lot of room, but everything was clean. The towels were small and were never changed for the two days we stayed, but to be expected for the price. There was a microwave and minifridge in the room which was convenient as well. We would stay again.
"Knights Inn- HORRIBLE SERVICE"
These people were extremely rude from the first second we got there. They threatened us by saying they woul call the police if any one else entered our room. They called our room to have me come the office so that they could continually badger me for no reason. I travel a lot and this is the WORST experience I've ever had
"Worst Hotel Ever Harrassed by Management"
This is literally the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. When I arrived they told me I was "lucky" because I got to stay in the new wing that they had just built with what she assured me to be a new mattress. Cleaning service never came in the 2 days I was there and it was impossible to get new towels. They only left shampoo packets which are hardly enough […] for anyone with long hair to wash with. The last day of our stay we received a call that woke us up at 11am, yelling "CHECK OUT TIME" into our ears. No good morning or anything. We asked for extended check out and they gave us until noon. That didn't stop the harassment though. They called every 10-20 minutes to make sure we were leaving. It slowed us down so much we eventually unplugged the phone. Then starting at 12 they started knocking on the door every 15 minutes. We had taken showers and were packing our stuff. I told them that we would be out soon. Eventually I'm bringing my stuff out to the car and he shows up again, this time with his small child (the enforcer?). He said you have to leave, I pointed to the bed and said I'm totally packed up, I'm just taking the stuff to my car now. He just stood in my way saying I had to leave and this was completely ridiculous for me to still be here. We told him if he didn't harass us we could have been out much earlier but with the constant calls it was out of control. He claimed no harassment and acted that he had given me the world when he said noon. I lost it and told him to take his kid and get out of here, I just have to put my stuff into the car. He left and then 2 minutes later was again knocking on the door to see if anyone was in there but we were already in the car. So we drove over to my friends room who was staying IN THE SAME HOTEL. I asked him, if he had been harassed at all and he said no. He even tried to call for a late checkout and they never picked up. I will never stay here again. At check in, the desk clerk insisted on charging an extra $10.00 for the second person, despite the fact that the reciept showed the reservation was for one room, 2 adults. For the rates we paid, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of our room. Our only concern was that our room had a lot of street noise. There is a DD across the street, and "Simple Simon's" diner within walking distance of the hotel, serving breakfast and lunch. The hotel is about 4 miles from the Old Port area of Portland. "What a pleasant surprise"
Being somewhat leery because of the low price compared to other accommodations, we were most pleasantly surprised! The room was immaculate and the bathroom spacious and very clean and bright. In the morning there was even coffee & tea, donuts, and fresh fruit. The owners were very pleasant and helpful with directions. We look forward to staying here […] again in the next few months. I had called the hotel several times 24 hours prior to my stay and the day of my stay to confirm my reservation. No one answered the phone. I originally viewed that as a bad sign. I finally arrived after hours to find the front door locked and lights off. I knew the owner/proprietor/family/maid was in the room adjacent to the front desk so I kept ringing […] the doorbell until I woke up the owner/proprietor/family/maid. Sure enough, he was in there. It turned out that the phone wasn't working. He called the number himself and verified it. Other than that, the stay was reasonable. However, if you're in the business of being a hotelier and your business doesn't receive any phone calls at all for one day, I'd mark that as suspicious and start investigating. Lisätietoja
"Knights Inn in South Portland - easy access"
This hotel is basic but serves it's purpose. The rooms are clean and the easy off easy on highway access is wonderful. The hotel is 5 minutes from the Maine Mall which provides for many different dining opportunities. There is a laundrymat attached to the hotel so if you need to do a quick load you are all set. "Very clean!"
The coffee was weak in the morning but that's not even much of a complaint! I was very impressed with how clean everything was. Watch out for open windows though, I didn't discover it until the morning and it explained the loud noise of traffic!

Lowest price in the area near airport with decent reviews. Acceptable for the price and convenience, had a 4am wake up call which was right on time.

The hotel was very clean, and easy to find. It was close to shopping (important, since we were on a shopping trip!). We were thrilled to find a room with three beds - it gave us more room. It was a good, clean basic hotel - just what we were looking for .

"Quick stop over point"
We were looking for a stopover spot coming from Water Country, NH going to Hermit Island, ME. Needed two rooms and wanted to keep the costs as low as possible, but wanted a 5 star! Wasn't sure what to expect so we kept our expectations very low based on the price. However, the quality of the rooms were not what we expected. Everything was remolded, […] new decor and tasteful. "Hotel pretty far away from Portland"
For the price not bad. The only sour taste I was left with was how rude the lady at the front desk was which was random and honestly she was sour and threatend us about not messing up the room to a little bit of an extreme but other than that not all that bad of an option as long as you have a car

We needed an inexpensive place to stay for one night, close to the airport. The hotel is as one would expect for the price: basic, clean...a place to sleep. There's a Dunkin' Donuts across the road for early morning coffee. We came late, left early, had no interaction with the staff except to check in, which was fine. For the price we paid , the room was very comfy , and clean. The only problem we had , was, in the bathroom. We saw ants creeping around , i did tell management and all they said was, at this time of year it does that with all the rain,,i said that it was kinda gross having ants crawling around ,,it made using the bathroom unpleasant , not to mention […] taking showers,,i was kinda expecting more from the owners i think,,not sure if i would stay there again. "Knights Inn-Extremely poor customer service"
I checked in on New Years eve and immediately I was prejudged for being young. I was there to have a relaxing evening and go out to dinner and have a place to stay, but instead the clerk thought I was there to cause a ruckus. I was told they would be watching the room, and if anyone so much as entered the room they would charge $100 to my credit card […] and they would call the cops if there was any noise at all. This was all done in a very rude and defensive fashion at check-in. I understand the holiday can be difficult to deal with, but the situation could have been handled better than threatening to call the cops at check-in. We ended up getting frustrated with the lack of customer service and finding a great deal at the Howard Johnson across the street where they were extremely nice and wanted us to have a fun holiday evening. "Gr8 location with good price"
We stayed in this motel for a night, when we ware traveling towards Maine from Philly. We reached around night 1 AM. It's a well maintained motel with overall cleanness. I checked out at morning. They provided Donuts and coffee as breakfast. Front desk people ware helpful. There is a Dunkin Donuts beside the motel, which helped me to charge me up at […] morning before start my journey again. "Needs Improvement"
The hotel staff was rude and had no customer service skills. The hot water was barely warm except the last morning I stayed. Then there wasn't any hot water. The telephone in the room did not work.

"Internet access poor"
The wifi access was poor. Internet access is important when I travel. The management tried to rectify the problem but were unsuccessful. However, the plus side was great rate, clean room and met my needs for location.

Overall the stay was OK...but just ok....we had to change rooms, due to the fact the tv and a/c was not working. But I had no problems changing rooms though.

This hotel was very conveniently located close to US 1/295/95. For what I paid, it was a great deal. The hotel staff were very friendly and gave us lots of good recommendations as to where we should go visit and eat.(Only thing is that stay away from Old Port and waterfront, it's a definite tourist trap and The Lobstershack in Cape Elizabeth a must […] try if you like great seafood and if you like pizza, try Pat's Pizza in Scarborough down on 1 South). The only thing was that wifi didn't work very well towards the end of my 4 days stay. Other than that, I was very happy and I will definitely recommend this place and I will book this hotel again. "Less-Than-Adequate Accommodations with Disappointing Service"
The best feature of this motel is its access to the greater Portland area. Beyond this, the room was "recently updated", but had a mildewy smell. Service by the management was terse - we aked for additional towels and an extra pillow (as our 2 teenagers were sharing our room) and, after being given the third degree, the woman manager angrily handed […] us the towels and pillow and went behind the desk to the rooms beyond, slamming the door behind her! "OK BUDGET HOTEL"
The room was very clean and the hotel had recently been renovated. Room was small for two queen size beds and did not have basic amenities like like shampoo, ironing board or in rooom coffee. However, the in room microwave and refrigerator were a plus. The cost was reasonable for July/August in southern maine.
