We were so busy didn't have time to take in all hotel had to offer, which was a shame, staff were all very nice and helpful, and went out of their way to help.

Good value for money when discounted. Spa very good , but could be looked after with more care and attention. Breakfasts very good Disappointing lounge for a 4 star.

Not a bad stay but expected better from a four star rating. We have stayed in over twenty hotels around England in the last three years so we feel we have a good knowledge of what to expect. Although the hotel was clean and the room well kept etc, Premier Inns (we've stayed at two) offer better. We ate in the the restaurant for the first night. My partner […] selected the Sliced Chicken with Lemon and salad with roast beetroot and crushed new potatoes. The chicken was dry, the beetroot virtually non existent and the crushed new potatoes amounted to barely one potato. We complained and were offered a free dessert. Lovely hotel, good location, within easy walking distance of town, beach can be reached by walking through pavilion gardens. Stylish comfortable room, tea and coffee making facilities, large flat screen tv, good ensuite. Buffet style breakfast, attentive staff and area kept, topped up and very clean. Me and my boyfriend stayed here for the first weekend in March for his birthday. I thoroughly researched to choose the right hotel and this ticked all the boxes. The spa was still closed on the Friday when we got there but had read about this on their site before hand and was informed about it when I called to book my spa treatments. I would have liked […] to book my massages for the Saturday but a hen party had fully booked them so had one on Friday afternoon and another one on Sunday morning. The beauticians were very helpful in trying to arrange the most convenient times for me. Apparently Saturday's treatments had been booked out before Christmas so if you want a massage - book in advance to avoid disappointment. Our room was amazing, it was massive and very nicely decorated and furnished. There was everything you could need - iron, towels and hair dryer etc. My sister was also staying at the hotel with her friends and when visiting her room, it was much much smaller. She also mentioned that there was a party in the function room and could hear the very loud music from her room. The staff were fine. Friendly and helpful just as you would hope and expect. We only had breakfast so cannot comment on the dinner but what we had was really good if a little expensive. A really good range of breakfasts which were all replenished regularly. The location was great, very close to the shops and beach. The hotel offered free car parking and free Wi-Fi. There was always parking available and was a big positive as other hotels had no parking or charged. The Wi-Fi wasn't great, it didn't work most of the time which was a bit inconvenient. hotel was nice but very disapointed that the spa was closed!we went for the soul purpose for a spa and didnt find out about the refurb until we got there..:-(

Upon arrival I parked next to a builder's skip Reception were polite. I was informed that the Spa was closed for refurbishment. Great! I had planned to Treat my wife on Valentines Day to some treatments No mention of that on the hotel website. I had opted for an executive room. On entering the room it seemed small, the view was of air conditioning ducts. […] The room felt cold and the heating didn't work On checking with reception, I was advised there had been a system error (yeah sure) we had accidentally been allocated a standard room. However, the executive 3rd floor didn't have electricity so they couldn't move us. We were advised the heating would come on later. Great !!! This is packaged as a 4 star hotel, it's not. Sarah at the reception desk was very helpful through out my stay. She helped me through the day when I had candidates come in for an interview. I did not expect this level of service and is the best I have ever encountered. I work and travel around the country a lot and was very impressed. The conference rooms were fine and also the rooms. All public areas have been refurbished to a good standard and look lovely. Hotel staff very friendly, food excellent. Room- Refurbished, nice furniture but room still looked tired . Wood chip wallpaper !!!!

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of wet and windy days in Bournemouth. The Spa facilities were therefore very handy although we did manage to get out for a short walk along the beach. The pool was luke warm and the jacuzzi wasnt working. Some parts of the hotel could do with a bit of updating (the pool changing rooms etc) but nothing stuck out as […] awful. We stayed in a twin executive suiite on the 1st floor overlooking the restaurant. The room was very clean, modern bathroom, flat screen TV SKY and comfy bed. The room was also quiet although in the morning we could hear people moving about in the corridor outside our room as the doors leading to the corridors have large gaps under them and are like any internal door you would find at home. The shower wasnt as hot as it could have been but this was actually quite welcome as the hotel and rooms are very hot (we had the fan and window open during the night and this was December!). The breakfasts are excellent - the poached eggs were perfect and a very big portion of tasty and well cooked haddock plus help yourself english breakfast, fruit, cerial pastries etc. Lovely frothy coffee as well! Staff weren't very helpful when I asked whether there were any nice independent restaurants in the area and the only suggestion given was 'ASK' which I thought was a chain restaurant... In the end we went to the Thai Tapas place round the corner and had an excellent night - it was a Thursday and was really busy (fully booked) but they managed to find us a small table by the bar. There was a lady singing with live music and the general atmosphere of the place was really good. Even though staff were run off their feet they were very polite. Food did take a while to come out but we didnt mind as we were in no rush and enjoying a drink. I think that perhaps if you booked a table the waiters may have been more attentive. My wife and daughter were looking forward to this short break as we do not manage to get away. The hotel staff made us very welcome. We enjoyed the breakfast and spent out on the evening meals. The swimming pool was nice, my daughter had never been in a pool before. Overall we found this a good hotel for the price and will return.

Stayed at the hotel with my partner for 3 nights, the Gym, Swimming Pool and the Spa at the Hotel excellent value for money. Rooms very clean and warm. The Hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the beach. Good time of year to go to Bournemouth. The coastal region is one of the best in the Country. Booked to stay again in December 2011

First impressions of the hotel were good, nice looking building, friendly welcome from the staff and rooms comfortable and clean. It is obviously an older hotel and some of the decor is a little worn, but it does add to the character. Fully aware that this is a mid price hotel, however we stayed at budget chains that are better than this. Should have heeded critical reviews from previous guests. Instead hoped for the best and ended up disappointed. 1. No hot water from basin tap. My husband had to boil kettle to be able to shave. 2. Low pressure from shower and no hot water Saturday […] night and Sunday morning. 3. Found the use of sheets and blankets quite old fashioned but was taken aback by numerous hairs on sheets. 4. Specifically asked for a quiet room in advance and also checked if any events taking place. So, surprised to hear EVERYTHING from room above and very loud music from event taking place Saturday night till late. Complaints were shrugged off and manager promptly disappeared. 5. Cabinet next to bed was so close, that doors could only be partially opened and need to squeeze passed in order to get into bed. 6. SPA changing rooms were poor and SPA pool water was murky. 7. Much vaunted renovation is at best superficial and focused mainly on reception and bar/dining area. The beaches of Bournemouth and the excellent weather were great. A real shame about this hotel which very nearly ruined our stay. Not in the habit of complaining but this was so bad we made an exception. The hotel staff were not very helpful. dd not bother to tell us were the lifts were. problem then wanted 25.00 per room per night. this would be taken by cc/debit card that would not be refunded 5-7 days. when we asked if we could pay cash we were told no. After speaking to a supervisior they accepted that.

Had a lovely stay in Bournemouth and made good use of the hotel gym and spa area. Breakfast was excellent, staff all very friendly. Bed.....a was too firm I'm afraid!

Very happy with the stay, good location for everything you need, restaurants, shops etc. The only problem i had was with parking at the hotel, was not happy leaving my car up some random road. And we never had a phone in our room, we asked for a phone 3 times, got it eventually last day.

What a great place to stay - arrived early morning and paid for breakfast which was superb Rooms were lovely and well equipped with iron and ironing board, tea and coffee facililities and yummy biscuits Room had a bath and separate shower cubicle - couldnt fault the rooms at all beds were soooo comfy! The hotel rooms are comfortable, but really hot you need a fan that they are happy to provide. The maid didn't understand the do not clean room sign - so found me in my towel. When will some English hotels like the Hallmark add basic room facilities such as fridge, safety deposit box and Air-con.

excellent all round ...very modern room ..ample in size and clean and comfortable ...we wre most impressed with the staff whop were all extremely helpful but particularly in the restaurant the service was superb ..the food was of a high standard and quality and not too overprices for the convenience of eating in the hotel ... just over 5minutes away […] from yhe nearest beach and no more than 10 minutes into the main beach, pier and promenades ..town centre also 10 minutes away...some very picturesque places to visit either by bus, train or car and particularly recommend Corfe castle village and the model village ...we had good weather and had a fantastic week...would definately recommend Lisätietoja

Cheaper Parking alternatives can be found locally. Good size double room, but dated. Feels like walking back in time when you enter the room. Staff helpful and polite and hotel generally quiet and peaceful. Only food eaten at the hotel was breakfast which was good, plenty of choice, but not 4 star quality

quite nice room with a very comfortable bed. however plumbing needs to be addressed. took nearly 30 minutes to run a bath due to water pressure and forget the shower! some of the public areas could do with some tlc. on the whole a nice hotel but overpriced. the spa treatments were great although couldnt use the facilities as overcrowded both days. recommend […] the afternoon tea! Very good hotel. Staff were excellent. Room was clean and a good size. I would recommend this hotel. My only complaint was that the towel rail was off and so the towels did not dry properly.

I would say this is more like a good 3 star hotel. Staff were excellent but rooms a bit unfinished in parts.

We spent three very plesant nights at this hotel. Good points - Awesome breakfast, fairly quiet generally and interesting lift. Free Parking. Bad points - we were on the very top floor so we had a pump operating every time anyone in our or the neighbouring rooms used the toilet or shower etc. and our heated towel rail didn't work in the room. The hotel was in a good location close to the town and a short walk to the beech. It also included free parking which was great. Our room was quite small, but it was comfortable. There was no view from our window other than a dirty roof with pipes. The mirror in the bathroom was held on by duct tape, which we laughed at as it was meant to be a four […] star hotel. Also the toilet roll they use in the rooms is horrible and cheap, my school used better toilet roll!. But the staff were friendly and helpful and the overall décor of the hotel was tidy. good vale for money - relaxed atmosphere and ample car parking - food in Restaurant on an evening not great and rather expensive - overall our stay was very good and we would go back if we visited Bournemouth in the future

Conveniently located for the BIC (conference centre); also a short walk from the sea. Good place to stay on business as room was comfortable and equipped with haridrier, iron, shoe polish etc. Small spa which was a pleasant place to unwind in the evening. Hotel clean, staff friendly. Indoor pool uncomfortably hot on a warm day as it is in a 'green house' type building - think of the germs. But overall very nice hotel which we got for great price.

We find the Hallmark very convenient, the conservatory is a very pleasant room to sit in, the restaurant is very good value and the service was very good throughout the hotel. Hotel is situated within a 5-10 mins walk into Bournemouth for the shops and many restaurants. Room extremely HOT, dispute it being March, would not want to stay in this room in the height of summer, our windows were open all the time and the fan was on continuously. I chose the hallmark hotel for a short work-related trip. It was a very comfortable room, very clean and the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. I felt it was a good choice. My only complaint was the quality of the shower. In a new, renovated bathroom I would have expected a decent shower, not the trickle of spray that I had to endure. This hotel was everything it stated on its website. The only issue we had was there was a party in the hotels function room, which meant there were children running around banging on room doors , A secruity gurard was needed to keep them away from the rooms.... Other than this issue nice place to stay and staff were very helpful...

The Spa is excellent as are the treatments. The hotel is third rate.

The hotel was nice, good location and good value for money. Spa wasn't so great but good if you look at it as an added bonus.

Check-In was fast and professional, the room was very spacious and clean, I especially liked the flat screen tv which was mounted on the wall and the bed was huge and very comfortable. I enjoyed the health spa which was included within the price of my stay. The food at the hotel was fantastic and the waiter was very polite and friendly.

The Hotel is in a great position near the beach and the town. Ideal for a relaxing break but also situated close to the bars and clubs. Lots of nearby restaurants and bars, a variety of restaurants to choose from within walking distance, the hotel food was also really nice and a professional service. I stayed in this hotel April Bank Holiday and was very impressed with the service, rooms, location and the hotel's overall environment. We decided to return to this hotel in May because we were so impressed and found the service very poor incomparison. The phone in our room wasn't working and we informed them 3 times of this. Eachtime we wanted room […] service we had to ring externally from our mobiles. Our fan would automatically turn itself off through the course of our stay and the bar staff were very unhelpful.
