"great value for the price"
Hotels.comin asiakkaan arvostelu elo 29, 2011Excellent for the price it was. Nice, clean neighborhood of Ann Arbor near the North Campus of UofM. Buy the room for double beds because the price is about the same but more roomy. That is what I did - alone. Free room phone calls around all the USA ! I liked the simple breakfast too - it was all fresh and ok tasting even if it came out of bags...Danishes were great ( I do not usually even eat pastry). The only negative I found was that the walls are not the thickest! Ask to live in the 3rd floor and in the court yard (front side). While in town try Red Hawk's fajita salad, and Olga's Kitchen! ( I used to live here for school in the 90's and they have been around since!)

It was good. We will certainly will stay the next time we are in the area. Finding the road to turn on was hard to find in the dark. A small Holiday Inn sign would be nice on the corner of the main road. We passed it 3 times trying to figure out how to get back there. It seems that this hotel need some maintenance to the room we were in. We were congenially transferred to another room when there was a problem involving other residents cooking on our floor. However, when transferred to the other room, the toilet was not clean. "Poor maintenance"
My room 129. The windows and the heater leak air very bad. You could feel a draft. It was very hard to keep the room heated. The staff was very helpful getting me a replacement room if desired. "You get what you pay for"
The hotel was not the best, it needs some up keep. Bed's were hard as a rock and the sheets would not stay on the King size bed. Everytime you moved they would pop off. The employee at check-in was very friendly and helpful. The woman who worked the next morning was not very helpful. They ran out of coffee at breakfast a little after 9:00 am and she said that was all there was. If breakfast runs till 9:30 there should be plenty of coffee until then. "What happened to the quality?"
It seems there has been no upkeep of the hotel amenities. The room was shabby, bad water pressure, and things were old, worn and rusted. I stayed there two years ago and everything was nice. Everything was clean including the Breakfast area. Items were refilled before being emptied. Especially the coffee. Check in was pleasant and fast. Motel did not have a musty smell like most motels. However for this last stay I reserved a ground floor room and it somehow was not recorded as a "ground floor" room by the man that took my reservation. We needed a reasonably priced hotel that was pet friendly for a 1 night stay. This is an older property that has been remodeled but is in need of some repairs and better cleaning. It was OK for the price and the room was warm and quiet on a very cold night. Nice hotel, great for price. Only thing is it is hard to figure out how to get to hotel from interstate - tree blocks street sign and then zoning law makes it hard to see entrance. The pictures on the internet made the room look bigger than it actually was. Also the same with the pool. It was jacuzzi size. This is not the first Days Inn that does this on the internet. "Days Inn & Suites is good for the price."
Not a bad hotel, I just needed it to sleep, I didn't care about the pool (didn't use it or the workout room so don't know if they were good). The bed and pillow was comfortable and the air conditioner worked well. Plus it wasn't too noisy, so it didn't keep me up. It was convenient to Tecumseh, Ann Arbor and the airport.
