Grand Pacific Sovereign Resort & Spa - Cha-am

Siisti hotelli ja hyvä aamiainen. Allas-alue hyvä ja rauhallinen. Hotellin ravintolat todella kalliita, hinta-laatu suhde on surkea. Sijainti vähän syrjäinen, cha am beachille piti mennä aina taksilla.

Hotelli oli todella upea, palvelu hyvää. Huoneemme oli se mikä oli varattukin, mahtavalla paikalla uima-altaan vieressä - terassilta pääsi suoraan altaaseen ja uima-rantakin oli vain kadun ylityksen päässä eli noin 50m. Henkilökunta ystävällistä, aamupala mahtava, valikoimaa riitti. Rantakadun "keskustaan" matkaa oli noin ehkä 3 km, mutta taksin sai […] hotellilta, tai heti rantakadun varrelta. Hotellialue oli siisti ja turvallien myös palvelu pelasi todella hyvin. Hotellilla oli altaat aikuisille ja lapsille ja olivat riittävän kokoiset. Hintataso oli kova verrattuna ympäristöön esim.allasbaari oli todella tyyris. Positive things: - Big rooms, enough space for two adults and two kids - Very good service - Nice pools - Great breakfast - Glorious atmosphere - Free of charge fruits were given once a day in the pool. Negative things: - Location, middle of nowhere. Hotel has occasionally free of charge tuk tuk service to the village, which helped the situation. But […] othertimes there is no meter taxis and they charge a lot, since tey know that they are only option for a tourist. - Expensive restaurants and pool bar. I had a nice holiday with seniors and kids. Our rooms was close to the pool. Nice hotel and impressive buffet breakfast.

Cha-am is an underdeveloped location with rubbish near the beaches and a lack of quality shops/resorts (even empty beach sections!), and so was the 'Grand Pacific'. When we arrived on the one lane sealed road we noted it was some 2 km from the centre of town (which had nothing much). There were no signs indicating where the lobby or the parking was, […] and as it turned out, these were at the back of the hotel and we needed to go around the block to access them! The staff on reception took a while to figure out our hotel.com booking, insisting that they should copy all our cards, passports, fill in copious details on all guests, despite the information being in the booking and us being Thai residents. We refused of course. The rooms were spacious and quite nice, the only thing going for this resort. We noted that even if we used the slippers it was THB150 and if we managed to lose a plastic room swipe card it was THB1000! Everything was chargeable it seemed. To access the beach and pools one cannot go through the hotel but must either go outside and walk around the hotel, or get some staffmember to swipe you through the two security doors! This was the case even to access the main restauarant. That restauarnt actually sits in the original lobby near the beach so we had people coming up the stairs and the double doors opening next to us while we (the only ones in the restaurant) tried to eat our meal. The food was basic and the lobster bisque was the worst I had ever tried. The salad was soaked in a pool of oil - not at all healthy. There is no real beach because no one has built sand protection and the embankment goes righ to the water's edge. The hotel has a nice little grass area near the 'beach' but one has locals wandering through and that road between it and the hotel. The pools seem nice but once again charging THB240 for a simple cocktail when we were pretty much the only ones there and after the swim we had to go back outside the hotel again to the lobby. We stayed at the hotel one week in October - at the end of the rainy season and we were very happy with our stay. There is room for improvement when it comes to the staffs ability to understand English.

The hotel was great as well as staff were very polite. But the big Disappointments in 4.5 * hotel is you have to pay extra to access to internet which last 24h, also the staff lack of English.

We were very pleased with our stay here. We wanted big rooms, near the beach, something for our 2 year old to do, and a quiet place to stay, and we got all of those things. The staff was very helpful and we definitely feel we got our a great deal. The rooms and bathrooms were large and the view was good. It is about a 20-30min walk to the busy part […] of the beach with more restaurants and shopping. Or you can rent a bicycle or scooter for cheap. I have to agree with some of the more negative reviews of this hotel. While a beautiful property and nice beach, the place has some shortcomings. The staff of the hotel lack training and an orientation towards customer service (with the exception of the pool staff). We called to room service to get two empty wine glasses sent to our room and were informed […] that the hotel does not "lend" things to guests!! It took a talk with the room service manager to sort it out - in the end we did get our glasses, but it was not a pleasant hassle. Also, for people not staying in the premium wing, the path to the beach is around the side of the building - inconvenient and a bit off-putting. It is a shame really. The hotel is beautiful and has a lot of potential, but does not seem to have the right mind-set to be really special... They should go back to the drawing board and re-think their approach to customer service. Lisätietoja

This is not a five stars hotel but a five stars prison. Everything is made to make you feel unconfortable. Breakfast closes a 10. You're fined if you loose a pool towel or give it back after 7pm. You're fined if you loose a door card. You can't walk freely in the hotel. You only have access to some sections. For instance we needed to go aroud the hotel […] to access the lower pool. If we want to go to see our friends in a different section we need to call them first so they can open two locked doors. Room service is beyond incompetent. They make you pay for a bucket of ice cubes. All prices shown do not include a 17% charge (7% vat and 10% service). And I can continue for hours... Lisätietoja

Our stay at the resort was wonderfull as a family. The kids enjoyed the pool and the beach. Room service was great. Food within the hotel was good too and as expected a litttle expensive. But overall a great holiday.

Everything about this hotel is perfect. From the lovely staff throughout to the facilities to the food and the rooms.

Great hotel. By all means. Though a little in the outerskirts of Cha Am, the nearby close beach was nice, the pools great, really good breakfast and perfect rooms. However the deficits to be worked upon are One.for some strange reason one can not walk between the largest of the pools and the two other pools. They for some reason locked the doors, and […] one has to be escorted. Two.The Fitness room is no good. Three.The music they play in all corridors, at breakfast, lunch and Everywhere is awfull. Meget fint hotell, men litt kjedelige omgivelser rundt hotellet. For å slappe av er dette meget fint , men hvis du er ute etter litt aktiviteter, og shopping må du ta taxi ett stykke. Frokosten var bra.

Super lækkert hotel med fantastisk personale. Det ligger lidt langt fra restauranter og butikker, men deres tuk tuk service fungerede godt

Jättefint hotell i utkanten av Cha-Am. Bodde där med 2 barn 6,1 år. Väldigt barnvänligt och bra pooler varav barnpoolen låg precis utanför vårt rum. Något dyrt vin men överkomligt. Ca 20 min. promenad till Cha Am som närmaste by låg, går dock att ta tuk-tuk. Väldigt god mat och superbra frukostbuffe. Vänlig personal. Kan varmt rekommendera detta hotell […] om du bara vill ligga vid poolen, ta en drink, umgås med familjen. God service på de som jobbade vid poolen. Lisätietoja

Hotellet ligger langt uden for bylivet. Prisniveauet på hotellet var for højt i forhold til inde i Cha-am beach.

Suberbe Hotel, service de qualité, tres belles piscines, plusieurs restaurants. Les points qui sont médiocre, la plage, pour rejoindre de centre de Cha Am environs 10-15 minutes à pied le prix des navettes pour aller à Hua Hin.

Veldig bra hotell med god service. Restaurantprisene på hotellet var helt ok Veldig fin strand, vi hadde et par mil med strand nesten for oss selv. Man må spasere eller ta hotellets Tuk-Tuk ca 2 km til sentrum. Eller man kan spasere til sentrum på stranden. Vi fant ingen Taxi i løpet av 10 dagers opphold. Motorsykkeltaxi vet det mange av. Skal man til […] "Outlet", bør man bestille returtaxi før man drar fra hotellet. Cha-Am er et fredelig sted, man får gå i fred her. Lisätietoja

we stayed 3 three days in the residence area and can only say it is very nice. it is at the end of the cha- am boulevard so it is far to other restaurants etc.

Nyt og fantastisk flot hotel, masser af service, gratis shuttle bus til byen, 3 lækre pool-områder i forskudt plan kun 50 m. fra lækker sand strand, med græs og liggestole helt ned til.

Hotellet var over al forventning. Vi blev fyrsteligt modtaget og opvartet af det venlige personale hele ugen. Poolerne er flotte og rene, og beliggenheden lige ved standen suveræn. Det er ikke et problem, at vi skulle over vejen (er ikke særlig trafikeret) da der altid stod vagter til at følge os og vore børn over vejen. Lækker mad på hotellets restauranter, […] prisen på maden ligger dog over niveauet inde i byen. Cha-am er et roligt, familievenligt område og kun 25 km ind til HuaHin. ホアヒンでホテルを探していて、たまたまちょっと場所はずれるのですが、よさそうだったので決めました。 お値段も少しお安かったし、バンコクからもホアヒンより近いというのもあって、トータルでとてもよかったと感じてます。 実は飛行機が飛ぶ時間が8時間くらい遅れたので、当然到着もそれくらい遅れたのですが、プーケットなどの場所にしていたらタイの国内線に乗り継げないという事態になっていたかもしれません。でもこの場所でよかったと思いました。その後の旅行の予定に大きな影響はありませんでした。 海にはほとんど入りませんでしたが、バナナボートなどのアトラクションはありました。 朝のビュッフェも品数が多く、ついつい食べ過ぎてしまう状況でした。欧米人が多かったのも雰囲気をよくしていたポイントかもしれません。
