The hotel is conveniently located near food and shopping. It was also very clean, quiet, and comfy. I've always enjoyed my stay at every Candlewood Hotel I've ever visited. And the price is great!

Booked a non-smoking room, got a room that said non-smoking on the door but smelled like an ashtray!! I was moved to another non-smoking room that smelled equally as worse. So disappointed!!

room was clean-hotel exterior grounds was quite littered-check in was no problem but our room key card would not open the door,so back down to the desk and had the key reprogrammed-returned to our room and opened the door to find someone else was already staying in that room. We stayed for the weekend and were impressed with the price and quality of the hotel. It was inexpensive and also very clean and looked brand new. Their Internet was quite fast for a hotel, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is geared towards longer stays and includes a small kitchen, however they also sell rooms like a regular hotel. This was the first time I had stayed at a Candlewood Suites. Was very pleased with our stay and would stay at a Candlewood Suites again in the future.

This hotel is one of the best I have stayed in. It's well kept & the staff was very friendly & helpful. The location is great. There was shopping & restaurants within 2 miles of the hotel. I stayed here for a one night romantic getaway & I will definitely be staying again.

This is our 1st experience at this hotel and we enjoyed it a lot. The room was clean and met our needs. The only thing we noticed was that although we were in a non-smoking room, the vent in the bathroom brought in some neighboring smoke from other rooms. I travel through Norfolk/Suffolk a lot and need an overnight stay. I run into some dreadful places in the past. This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Straight forward, nice, clean, and quiet.

I loved my stay here. Friendly staff. Close to everything and, everywhere I wanted to go. One communication issue with house keeping. But, the front desk brought us up fresh sheets, towels everything. Other then that. I would ONLY come to this hotel when I come to Virginia from now on. Oh and, the day is stormed outside. The hotel, looks great but it was full with pets, and the room were not well vaciumed, my 6 months baby was full of pets hair al over. I had to cancel my second night because of that and the hotel night manager told me that the hotel wil not charge me for the second night but they did!!!

Our first visit at a Candlewood Suites but we were very impressed. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The stay was good but it was a problem of finding the place cause the address was a house and wrong directions but as far as near a place to eat it was good but i loved the leisure of the room and customer service as well

The only problem I had is that I reserved a double non-smoking room, and they gave me a smoking room which smelled horribly of smoke. Instead of trying to find a non-smoking room, the clerk said they were booked and there was nothing she could do to give me a refund because my room was pre-paid. Everyone was polite and frriendly. The rooms are clean new and very comfortable. It is located near restaurants but not in an area that is not heavy with traffic. I would stay there again even if it was not near my points of interest it is worth the drive.

Even though they spray room air freshener it still smells cigarette. It irritated my throat.

We enjoyed the stay and would recommend this hotel to others. The staff was friendly and the room and environment was clean and well maintained. One thing that we noticed was that it smell as good as it looked and that is a big plus for us. It was also very homey environment. We enjoyed our stay. The building is fairly new. The staff was extremely helpful. There is no pool or restaurant in the building, but it is in a nice area with lots of good restaurants within a mile or so. It is also directly off 664 freeway so it is very centrally located.

Overall, this place was nice, especially for the price. My only complaint was the bedspreads/comforters and the bed skirts need replacing. They almost looked dirty. We just pulled them back and the linens were clean. I liked having a little bigger room than a usual hotel room and the icemaker in the fridge was nice.

The room was large with a generous bathroom. It was nice to have the kitchen so that we had better control over our diet. Being able to bring our small dog with us was a bonus. We did have some problem with noise. We were disturbed by noise from the guests above us and know that we were a problem for the guests below us.

Our GPS could not locate the address from the Internet but a call to the desk yielded a nice person who quickly gave us an alternate address. The facility and rooms seemed new. The room itself was very nice for both a vacation and business. It was like an efficiency with kitchen and microwave. No breakfast in the morning but we both some of the items […] in the lobby and made our own breakfast in the privacy of our room. No daily maid service which was fine for us. After traveling from Pa. to Va. I was entirely surprised to find that was larger then I expected. So there was adequate room to spread out and relax. The bathroom was beautiful.
