Candlewood Suites Indianapolis Downtown Medical District - Indianapolis

I have stayed here a few times now, and the service is always good. Never had any problems, and even got an upgrade the last time!

This hotel was very spacious and clean - had a great time and would stay here again.

I've lived in apartments smaller than this. Helpful desk clerks. One caution: If you plan to cook, snack or have cocktails in your suite, bring your own. The nearest grocery stores are hard to find and pretty funky. The suite was very spacious, the kitchen was well equipped with appliances, plenty of closet space, and good amount of drawers in the dresser. The carpet was clean and curtains were similar to an apartment rather than a hotel suite. The two T.V.'s were very convenient. The only negative aspect of our stay was that the house keeping staff did not clean […] the room or put fresh soap in the bathrooms each day. The location was excellent! The close proximity to the medical school as well as the closeness to the downtown business district were great assets for us. I booked this hotel because it said it was downtown. I was looking for a hotel within walking distance of the downtown attractions. Though you can see downtown it is not located downtown. Only a 8-9 minute drive to downtown. Also, the area is not the best. Definitely did not leave anything valuable in the car overnight. The room was even better the expected. The staff was very helpful and professional. I feel that i got a great deal for the price. The room was very clean and had plenty of space. I reccomened this hotel for your next stay in Indianapolis.

Room was roomy and clean. 6 of us stayed one night in one room. staff was friendly. I did think for the price there should have been a continental breakfast but the (pay for)snack room was nice. Very happy with this hotel. It is close to downtown, yet away from the hussle and bussle. Very nicely furnished room. Love the 24 hours pantry.

I rented two rooms, had active mold above toilet . Looked like an ongoing problem. Pretty gross. No room service rented 4 br's got 1 and a half rolls of toilet paper for 4 people. Not enough towels. Broke a garbage bag asked if they could send a maid she gave me a broom! No maid! Did not meet my expectation. Hotel was clean and comfortable with great kitchen appliances. Parking lot was well lit, There was always someone at the desk day and night. We were convenient to downtown Indianapolis, 6 or 7 minutes at the most with little traffic. Very nice place to stay and found the other people staying at the hotel were friendly, quiet, nice folks.

Very roomy, clean, friendly. A shuttle is available to take you downtown and to the medical district. It's also possible to walkj to the VA and many other hospitals.

The suites are spacious and came well equipped.Liked the closeness to med center. The shuttle was a plus to have going back and forth to the hospitals and resturants.

I have stayed in a number of rooms, and everyone understands what your basic room looks like. This room was fantastic. Just a standard room, yet had a very nice kitchen, nice living room and a huge bedroom. The room was very spacious, and broke many molds of your usual hotel room. Loved this place, will stay here anytime i can.

I have never stayed in a Candlewood Suites before and I would gladly stay again. I had a non smoking room but the bedroom smelled like smoke. That was the only negative aspect. The hotel was very affordable, and offered more than I would have expected at that price.

We truly enjoyed our stay. Our son was there for a pharmacy residency interview. I knew that the room had a kitchen area and I had made soup at home to eat there. It was winter time and we did not arrive until evening so it was great to not to have to get back out in the winter weather for dinner. I was surprised there were only three hotel carts for your customer's luggage. When I checked out on Friday morning, the manager had to go across the way to "Park Place" hotel and get one for me. Luckily, I was not in any hurry, otherwise, this would not be a good review!!

The hotel is very clean and very convenient. If you are planning to go out downtown, but don't want to pay the price to stay directly in the center of the city, please consider Candlewood Suites in the Medical district. They provide a free shuttle to and from downtown every hour until 9 PM. After 9 PM they recommend a particular cab company with a fare […] of $7 from downtown to the hotel. Wow. This place was really nice I have stayed in 4 star hotels that were not as clean and as plush accommodations here. The room was enormous. The only down side is that the hotel isn' t within walking distance of downtown. I will stay here again when I go to Indy.

My experience with Candlewood Suites in Indianapolis was fantastic! The rooms were clean and very large. The pool was extremely nice as well. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel was questionable, but I felt very safe with my stay at Candlewood. The gym was fully equipped with new exercise equipment. Spacious room - more space than I needed. Good size bathroom and comfortable bed. I was just in and out for the night but it would be a comfortable place for an extended stay.

Pretty much a small apartment in its own right rather than a hotel. As such, very good vor extended stays or stays where you want or need a good work area.

I have already recommended this hotel to all of my colleages and a few friends. It was truly comfortable and a joy to stay in the Candlewood Suites.

VERY nice, was more than I expected and for a great price and close to downtown Indy. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. Will def. stay there again next time I'm in town. Highly recommend!

I was really surprised how large the rooms were!! Clean hotel close to just about everything but far enough way to not be in all the chaos.

I needed a deal so I was willing to go 2 star for a hotel. Honestly though I think this hotel deserves 3 stars. Probably the only reason it only has two is because the lobby is unimpressive. This room was HUGE - like renting an apartment. We had two large bedrooms with a King size bed in each room, a living room with a pull-out sofa and recliner, and a kitchen with two-burner stovetop, microwave, full-size refrigerator and large breakfast bar/eating area. The bathroom is a good size with a separate vanity area. Breakfast is not included […] but with the full kitchen that worked out perfectly for our family. The furnishings are basic and simple but served the purpose. The beds were very comfortable. There is also a nice outdoor pool but a spa would have been nice too.
