Stayed here with my wife, who had plans which fell through. The location was great for the purpose it was supposed to serve, but a little far if you're looking to do anything in downtown Cincinnati, or Newport, Ky. While the hotel was clean & the room was comfortable, the front desk staff was not all that friendly. Not rude, but all the same. The […] other major complaint is the pool. The water in the pool was still, as in stagnant, to the point that there was a bit of a film on the surface.There was a dirt ring around the pool walls and the usual overpowering smell of chlorine was nowhere to be found. This is one of the nicest HIE that I have stayed at. Well worth the extra dollars to stay. Typically when in the area I am in and out and stay at a different hotel. Since I was in town for 3 days I opted to get a nicer hotel and was very impressed. It was nice and new, clean and spacious. The only thing was there was not High Def on the TV. A little […] nit picky, but, the truth. I ended up getting the first floor which has the extra high ceilings which is always nice. Great hotel - - clean rooms, friendly staff, and convenient location.

We stayed in a King Suite, and it was a large room with high ceilings, which was really nice when staying for a week. Overall a decent hotel, but for the cost (during the Western & Southern Open) we'll probably stay at Wingate/Wyndham next year.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and the room was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend the hotel to my friends.

The room was very clean. Breakfast area are huge so you don't have to worry of getting a table. The surrounding area was also convenient as restaurant and king island is about 6 miles away.

All was nice but the floor seems thin as i could hear everything above our room. perhaps elephants where staying over as well.

I chose the hotel based upon other reviews. And those reviews were spot on. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood, it is clean, up to date, and the staff was very friendly. The room was nice and big. Everything looked brand new...beds, sheets, TV, etc. I really liked the room...it was a lot nicer than I was expecting. The only downside for our stay was […] bugs. We found two different bugs on two different occasions in our bathroom. One bug I can let slide, but two...hey, for the price I paid for the room, it better not have any bugs in it. No problems.. In for 2 nights. Very clean and fresh. Breakfast in the morning! I would stay again for sure!

We needed a place to stay after spending all day at Kings Island and this is the place! Fast hotel check in, big room to move around (or run around for the 2yrs old!) same goes for bathroom. Only 10 mins from Kings Island. The best part is that we can walk out from the hotel to get Graters icecream at night! And free breakfast is awesome!

My entire stay was great. From check-in to check-out, the free breakfast, the extra touches were all appreciated during my stay. Consider this hotel for your stay in Mason, OH.

This is a great hotel. Clean, modern decor with a large, spacious bedoom and bathroom. very comfortable bed and quiet room. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We were visiting family and the location, just off I70, was great. There are plenty of good restaurants and bars within walking distance and also a Walmart for any essentials. Kings Island […] and a few shopping malls are also within close driving distance. Helpfully there is a guest washing machine and dryer which guests and you can buy detergent in the hotel shop. Wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel. If you are going to kings island or anywhere in the Cincinnati area, I would highly recommend the holiday inn express in Mason.

The staff, especially Laura wasa terrific. She helped with our concerns with a smile.

New property and upscale area. Nice ice cream shop right in front of property out-lot. Easy to find.

Very nice hotel in a nice area. It was convenient to Kings Island and there were lots of places to eat and shop nearby. It was clean, well-kept and quiet. We were very pleased. Only problem ( if you could call it that) was that there were no waffles for breakfast.

Clean, updated rooms. This is the nicest HIE I have stayed at. Two big rooms separated by the batroom. If you were staying with kids or another adult this place is absolutely perfect. Great breakfast........can't miss with this hotel. It might cost you an extra $40 for this, but, if more than two people it is really worth it.

The hotel provided a very pleasant stay. The building appeared to be new, the rooms were neat and clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. It is very close to I-71, and just a few minutes from King's Island. There are many restaurants and stores nearby, and even a Graeter's next door (or more precisely, right in front of the hotel). The only […] downsides were minimal. The bathroom did not have a fan in it, which seemed to be an odd omission for a place this new. I also used the computer in the business center, and it lacked Adobe Reader so one is not able to open .pdf files, and the internet browser (internet explorer) was an older version that lacked tabbed browsing. The vending machine on the 4th floor was very particular about the dollar bills it took, and I actually had to go back to the room to iron a couple just for them to work. Overall, the hotel was great and I would definitely stay there again. The negatives were not significant enough to drop the overall rating to a 4, so I'm giving it a 5. And even with the lack of a bathroom fan, the room seemed to ventilate well on its own (as compared to other places I've stayed). Purpose of trip was King's Island so only stayed one night. Hotel location provided easy access to 71 and King's Island. Hotel was also close to several places to eat and shop.

We enjoyed our stay close to Kings Island Park, and many shopping, dining places. Unfortunately,the pool was smaller than expected, and full of rowdy kids.

We stayed in a king suite and it was well worth the money. The bed was so comfortable we wanted to stay another night and we slept so good. The room was spotless and every thing was very clean though out the whole hotel. The staff was very friendly and responded to request promptly. Love the ice cream shop outside of Hotel.

Very beautiful and modern building and decor. Nice variety of food for breakfast. The pool was very nice and the work out room was very nice. Enjoyed my stay.

Wasn't sure what to expect as we booked online, but was pleasantly surprised to say the least. First off, hotel location allowed me to rest easy. Front desk was very polite and professional. Everything was great except the room was not ready at 3. We had to wait and didn't get in until about 4:45. Other than that it was clean, good location, and good breakfast.

Beds were comfortable. Continental breakfast was more than I expected. Will definitely stay here again.
