The bed was a little firm but other than that it was perfect. Decorated tastefully,loved the bath and body works products in the bathroom and staff was awesome. Loved the free glass of champagne upon arrival!
"Surpringly wonderful"
Never stayed downtown. Felt safe and the hotel has been refurbished to today's standards. Beds were great and comfortable. Shower was awesome with dual powerful heads, unheard of even with newer hotels.

Not impressed. Requested additional pillows be delivered to room before going out for the evening; were not delivered upon return. TV had to be turned on/off several times to work. Shower head was broken and pointed back towards shower wall. Bed was very hard. They comped us breakfast to their Sunday buffet, but the food was old, cold, and not very […] tasty. I reserved 2 beds, they put us in a room with 1. Finally they switched us at an up charge. Then the room wasn't very clean. There was a party in two rooms by us and were up being loud and running the halls till after 3am. We called front desk but nothing happened. Me and my fiance stayed at the Aladdin over Christmas. I chose the hotel because I had stayed there before and enjoyed the atmosphere. During this most recent stay, I was a little disappointed. The room was ok, the food at the resturant was ok and the staff was ok. I bought a package that included breakfast, however when we checked in I was informed […] I only recieved a $15 credit that did not come close to covering their prices. On the 3rd day we had to move to a new room because they were doing maintenance in our room. It took 3 trips to the lobby and 2 more rooms before we were settled in for our last night of the trip. "weekend in KC at Aladdin-Holday Inn"
Everytime we visit Kansas City we stay at this hotel! The staff all the way around is always so nice and helpful! Rooms are a little small with two queen beds but they are always clean!! We will def be back and recommend it to our friends and family!

TV didn't work. Mentioned it to hotel staff, but they never took care of it. Bathroom was disgusting and the shower did not have hot water.

the hotel itself was nice but i didnt like to have to pay for the parking. noone had told us about the valet being $15 so we paid the $12 to park in the garage. Our reservation wasnt until saturday but we were allowed to go up to our room at 4am saturday morning and didnt get charged anything extra, which was great. Didnt get a free breakfast.

"Quiet, great location, and friendly staff."
We had a five room block for a graduation party, and everyone in our party had a great stay. The rooms are beautifully appointed, quiet and modern. The location was terrific, just a few blocks away from the Power and Light district, and a block away from Consentino's Market, which has great prepared foods and a fresh food market. The staff is friendly […] and helpful, from the doorman to the front desk to the custodians. It is easy to see that this staff is happy, and that tells me that this hotel works. Beds were very uncomfortable, but is only 2 blocks from Power & Light.

I paid for a room with 2 double beds When we checked in we were told there were no rooms with 2 dbl beds, so 3 of us had to sleep in 1 bed. I asked if they could adjust the bill and they said no because I booked on-line. We also had to pay $12 to park right across the street.

"Don't forget anything..."
Don't forget anything in your room after you check out because they will probably steal it from you. I forget my coat in the room on Sunday when we checked out. Two hours later I called and told them I has forgot my coat in the room and the front desk person proceeded to tell me that housekeeping that gone home for the day at 3:00 pm. I left a message […] for their department about my coat on Sunday. They never called me back on Monday so I called back on Tuesday and they told me that my coat was not left in the room and they didn't have it. That is crap because it was in the room when we left. "Dissapointing stay"
* No refrigerator in room * Limited menu for hotel restaurant that is only open until 9pm * Breakfast service extremely slow * Rooms with queen bed are very cramped * Fan very loud * Convenient to Power and Light District
Had a great stay. Girls at front desk were very pleasant and helpful, valet service was great and well worth the reasonable price. Will definitely stay again .

I had stayed at this hotel before as part of a bachelorette party but I was not the one in charge of booking. However, after staying in this hotel I knew that was where I wanted to stay for this trip. The Aladdin is right down the street from the KC Power and Light District and the Sprint Center (where our event was). It's very easy to get to if driving […] in and free champagne at check-in. Even with snow, the neighborhood sidewalks were kept clear and safe. There are many restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues in that area and this hotel is perfectly located and reasonably priced for the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. They offered maps and directions for the P&L District and let us know that the parking garage across the street (where we parked) accepted credit cards when I inadvertently used all my cash. We did not use the valet services since we knew we would not need to get our car out until the next day, however if you plan on coming and going from the hotel, using valet would be the way to go. Using the garage on your own costs the rate of parking each time you leave, but using valet is $15 for unlimited trips in and out of parking (not sure if this is per day or good for the length of your stay). The room itself was pretty good. It felt a little snug with the king bed, but it is a historical building so smaller quarters were expected. Plus it was just the two of us, so cozy was just fine! In my previous stay our larger group did 2 beds per room and they were very creative in their layout to accommodate. The decor was fun and modern in greens, reds, and dark woods without making you think "Christmas colors". There was Wolfgang Puck coffee and Bigelow tea available with the coffeemaker and a DVD player with the TV. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable, convenient place to stay for the Downtown area. Lisätietoja
"Great Hotel!"
We stayed at this hotel for a convention. Hotel was wonder. Clean, nice staff. Hotel has a underground walking to the convention center so did not have to wear coat to the meetings! That was a big plus. Only downside was that the chiefs were playing on sunday and some of the people staying on our floor was loud at 3am.
The location of the hotels is great, close to power and lights district. Hotel room was not the cleanest. Had "hair" all over the tubs of the two rooms we got, wash cloth in one room had something crusty dried to it. After we got there, we all went to the rest room and the toilet overflowed. Had a huge white stain on the comforter of the bed. And don't […] sit at the edge of the beds..they will flip up! Wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you don't care if it isn't the cleanest. As far as location to the power light district of Downtown Kansas City it was perfect. But a park next door had a special event for hispanics that had loud music and shows from late afternoon till late at night. Loud music. Rooms small but funtional. Bed and pillows very comfortable. "Aladin in Kansas CIty"
The Holiday Inn Alladin was a very nice stay. Perfect for us going to a concert at the Sprint Center. The bathroom was quite small (typical for a historic building) but clean with full amenities. I would stay there again. They had valet parking but also a parking garage right across the road as well.

The only complaint is that the rooms are very small. We needed an air mattress in the room, and there was only one spot it would fit in. Everything else was great.

We were treated with disrespect the whole time we were there. And employees were unfriendly. The elevators were small and the room as well. Will never go back to that particular hotel and advise others not to as well
"Started out good but went downhill fast"
When we arrived, we were a little leary of this hotel since it is a slim little building in the middle of much bigger ones. We checked in then took the tiniest elevator up to our room. We realized that their idea of queen beds is more like our idea to full size beds. With 2 adults and 2 teenaged boys, we decided we needed a roll away or two. Front desk […] said it was against state law for roll away beds but they would send feather mattress tops up. They did so quickly. This was the only good part of the stay. The next morning, one bed was sloppily made and that was it. We asked 3 times to get the room recleaned and for them to leave towels, coffee, toiletires, etc. On the fourth request we got everything but the clean room, it was mid-afternoon, we were not planning to go out at that time and the room was so small that 4 people barely fit in it. No room for a cleaning crew too! As we were leaving, the elevator would not come and we had to take the stairs through a maze down 5 flights to get to the front desk. Just on a petty note/ icing on the cake: parking is across the street and is $15 a day, the only views available are brick walls and the toilets moan when you flush. Lisätietoja
