Hotellikäynti sujui hienosti lukuun ottamatta sitä, että sunnuntaina kaupungilla olomme aikana huoneeseen oli päästetty (annettu avaimet) muita ihmisiä. Ei ole kiva palata huoneeseen ja löytää pöydältä vierasta villatakkia ja paria ylimääräistä opasta. Hotelli oli sijainniltaan loistava ja uima-allasosasto oli ahkerassa käytössä.

Yllätyin positiivisesti. Hinta/laatusuhde oli hyvä. Erityiskiitos erittäin ystävälliselle naisvastaanottovirkailijalle. Valitettavasti en huomannut ottaa hänen nimeään ylös. Muutenkin asiakaspalvelu oli erittäin mukavaa ja ystävällistä. Sijainti oli hyvä, kävelymatkan päässä keskustasta ja metron vieressä. Voi suositella jos tyytyy vaatimattomaan mutta mukavaan. Ota kuitenkin oma hiustenkuivaaja matkaan, sitä huoneessa ei ollut.
Lisähenkilöistä saatetaan periä maksu, joka saattaa vaihdella hotellikohtaisesti.

Formerly the centre of East Berlin, Mitte is split down the middle by Unter den Linden and contains nearly all of Berlin's key churches, museums, theatres and memorials. The Fernsehturm (TV tower) by Alexanderplatz offers the best view over Berlin. Museums include the Pergamon, National Gallery, Bode and the Old Museum. The Red City Hall and the Dom (cathedral) are close to the museums and there are two other churches on Gendarmenmarkt.

Rauhallinen ja mutkaton hotelli. Hyvä palvelu ja erinomainen sijainti suhteessa nähtävyyksiin ja julkisen liikenteen asemiin. Aamupala oli riittävä. Hotellissa ei ollut ravintolapalveluita aamupalaa lukuun ottamatta, mutta lähistöllä (esim. Potsdamer Platzilla) on useita ravintoloita. Hyvä hinta-laatu -suhde.

Holiday Inn Express Berlin City Centre sijaitsee erinomaisella paikalla - tärkeimmille nähtävyksille on vain kymmenen minuutin kävelymatka. Seutu on turvallisen (joskin hieman tylsän oloista), lähellä on myös mukavia ruokapaikkoja. Itse hotelli täyttää matkailijan perustarpeet oikein hyvin: huone oli siisti ja vaikka se sijaitsi toisessa kerroksessa, […] ei kadulta juurikaan kantautunut melua. Siivous tosin oli kovin pintapuolista, roskakoria ei esim. aina tyhjennetty. Aamiainen oli kattava, joskaan tuoreita vihanneksia ei näkynyt. Olimme isä ja kaksi n. 10-vuotiasta lasta tässä hotellissa 2vrk. Plussaa mukava rauhallinen sijainti lähellä Anhalter Bahnhoffia ja aivan ok-huone. Miinusta vain tyydyttävä aamiainen (ei juuri vihanneksia) - tosin kuului huoneen hintaan. Palvelu on vaihtelevaa, mutta toimivaa. Huone oli pienehkö, mutta toimiva sekin. Voin suositella.

Hotelli hyvin siisti ja rauhallinen. Vaikka paljon väkeä, ei huoneeseen kuulunut meteliä. Vessan ovi melko veikeä; keneköhän insinöörin neronleimaus? Huoneesta puuttui vaatekaappi kokonaan, vain muutama hylly, joihin ei tavarat mahtuneet, joten tavarat täytyi säilyttää matkalaukussa ja niillekin oli huonosti tilaa. Vastaanoton henkilökunta perustekoystävällisiä. […] Aamupala runsas, mutta vihannekset puuttui. Jos jokin loppui sai täydennystä odottaa iäisyyden. Baarin anti hyvin suppea. Erittäib hyvä sijainti lähellä keskustan nähtävyyksiä. Bussi ajaa hotellin vierestä ja S-Bahn-asemalle 5 min kävelymatka. Hotelli ja huoneet siistejä. Huone erittäin rauhallinen, mitään ääniä ei kuulunut. Palvelu ystävällistä. Aamiainen muuten hyvä mutta saisi olla enemmän vihanneksia.

Hyvä sijainti lähellä S-bahn ja U-bahn asemia. Hotellista helppo pääsy eri nähtävyyksiin. Siisti hotelli ja hyvä hinta laatusuhde. Aamiainen olisi voinut olla vähän monipuolisempi.

Close to public multiple transportation options (less than 5 minute walk). Room was clean. The TV set is somewhat old (i.e. not flat screen) and program choices are limited. Hotel staff excellent and friendly service.

"PERFECT LOCATION"
This hotel is almost on the Berlin Wall or past wall. Situated in West Berlin, but across the street is East Berlin. Easy walk to Brandenburg Gate, then CheckPoint Charlie and views and pieces of the wall and historic points of interest. Also Holocaust Memorial within this area. Easy access to trains or metros from Hotel.
"I ordered non smoking and got a smoking room!"
While I ordered a non smoking by not ticking the smoking option, I got a stinky smoking room. The receptionist claimed that no preference was specified.

We had a great time in Berlin and the fact that this Holiday Inn offered a good comfort, the staff was very nice and helpful and it is very well located, made it even more worthwhile. It was also very reasonably priced! Stay at this hotel and you are guaranteed a great stay.

Good value for money, close to Potzdamer Platz about 1 kilometer. Grocery and good Italian Restaurant across from hotel. Parking a little high at 17 euro per day but inline with other big cities. Would be nice to have in room safe, if you use there safe deposit box at front desk they have a 500 euro lost key charge. Breakfast included a plus.
"Very clean and comfortable, not in center of thing"
Hotel was very clean and comfy. The hotel may list A/C in the rooms, but it's not what an American would expect. I didn't have much control over temperature at all. Ended up just opening the window. Location is in Kreuzburg, so if you're looking for something near to the major historical sites in Berlin, it's a bit out of the way. "clean comfortable convenient completely adequate"
This property was perfect for our self arranged visit to Berlin. It's nothing fancy but there was nothing left wanting. There are 3 close-by transit connections and it's only a mile from Berlin must-sees. Breakfast was good. Convenient restaurant and food store across the street. "Good Hotel"
It is about 15 to 45 minutes walk to most of East Berlin attractions. Or, the hotel is located about 2 blocks from the train station. The hotel is nice and clean, and the staff was very helpful. The rooms are a bit smaller than most Holiday Inns, but was adequate size and comparable to many european hotels. The breakfast buffet was good.

Very nice modern hotel. I would have given five stars but there are no free internet in the rooms, Wifi connection is expensive. The staff were helpful !

While most people don't travel to Berlin for their hospitality...this hotel is no exception. Some of the staff we friendly enough, others were rather rude. For example, they ordered the guests around and trying to charge extra for things like non-ordered drinks and too much time in parking garage since paying (we parked over night and stayed less than […] 15 hours but after paying the 16 euros we didn't check out for half an hour and then had to pay for an additional hour). This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this hotel. I like it because it offers inclusive breakfast in the price which is useful when with children especially. The room is always clean, the staff are polite and friendly, and the bed is comfortable. This time the room could do with a new coat of paint in places but it wasn't bad. It is on the route of the M41 bus which goes to the Hauptbahnhof.There is a Netto opposite which is very useful for stocking up with toiletries when travelling only with hand luggage. There is a good range of breakfast choices and it is all very relaxed. For me this is a comfortable base when iIm visiting family in Berlin. This hotel was a good location just about a 10 min walk is the heart of the city. Trainstation and all. Local buses are about a 5 mins walk. Lots of places to eat. Even two markets across the street from the hotel. City tour bus is a great way to see all the sights and you can get that bus by the trainstation which is a direct walk from the hotel. The […] parking for the hotel could be a little lower 16 euro a day and a little high you could find parking on the street for less. The rooms were nice however no place to keep anything cold or to warm anything up too bad. That would be a big selling tool since they have so many stores near by. The room was fine, good shower, quiet air conditioning and comfy beds. My daughter of 10 had sofa bed which was queen size-the room was large enough that we could leave the sofa bed made up for a few days and still have space to move around. Breakfast was ample and staff were very pleasant-they explained how to get back to airport, etc when asked. |The […] nearest u rail is Anhalter Bahnhof-about 300m and Potsdamer Platz is a very pleasant 15 minute walk. There is a good supermarket directly opposite the hotel but not much choice of restaurants in the vicinity. Its a15 minute walk to the Techno-museum, a great place to bring children for the day. We even found a great children's playground down the street from the hotel- would be a bit wary at night time though, of streets parallel to this. Just watch when you leave I ended up being charged for stay despite having paid Hotels.com in advance. I thought my credit card swipe was only in case I ran up charges. Everything was clean, neat and tidy with a great breakfast. Front counter were helpful. Located reasonably close to the berlin train system (200m) and walking distance of Potsdamer Platz and Brandenberg Gate.
"Bad staff, very unfriendly."
The room wasn't as expected, we had to purchase an additional one for our other travelers. Also, the room lock didn't work and the staff repeatedly assured me that it would. Staff was very unfriendly. Also the handle to the door in the bathroom was broken.
The location isn't very good, relative to being in the main areas however, the fee structure for the hotel is great and worth it. The neighboring restaurants and the buffet at the hotel are not very good - I would recommend finding elsewhere for meals. Rooms are small, compact but to the point. I travelled alone so I thought it was perfect for one person. […] Hotel was new and in good shape. Internet fees in the room are the best I have seen at any hotel anywhere yet. IT help not helpful because of language barriers and only know PC not MAC. I would highly recommend hotel, but keep in mind distance to main attractions. If you are okay with walking and subways or paying for expensive taxis this place is awesome value. Hotel says 8 km to Tegel, but it is atleast 40 minutes in traffic and 20 early morning. Hotel was excellent. Good location right by the subway and only a few minutes from check point charlie and many other attractions. Would definately recommend and stay here again!

"Great value hotel in excellent location"
We stayed in the in this hotel for 6 nights Sept. 16-21. The rooms are not big but are very clean and modern as is the whole hotel. It is in agreat location within walking distance of all the major tourist atractions. the breakfast is excellent. Over all a good quality, good value hotel.
