Wish we could have had a balcony room and not have had to walk down the stairs with suitcases to get there. That would have been inconvenient. Also no elevator to the breakfast room was inconvenient. Other wise I have no complaints.

The rooms were clean and the location was great. However, beds and tv's need to be updated. The breakfast was also on the weak side. Luckly Dorns is next door and has a great breakfast. The staff was also friendly.

This Hotel is very clean and the room was comfortable. The only problem was the attitude at the front desk. We asked 3 times if we could check out at noon.....it seem like a huge deal. Breakfast was just OK, nothing special, just some danishes and cereal for the most part.

Everything was great except for the beds. Very uncomfortable. Felt every spring.... Too bad! =(

The WIFI is weak in my room. The TV is old and flashing. Otherwise, it is quite all right.

The staff was very helpful. Location is great. Rooms are well kept and clean. Parking is mostly protected and roomy. Overlooks Embarcadero with many eateries and shops, a short walk up the hill to downtown Morro Bay.

We stayed here to break up the trip as we journeyed down the PCH. Clean, well-maintained, and friendly service at the desk. Only drawback is that you must cross the road to get to the office from some of the units.

The location was great. The service was good. Both the beds were awful. I woke up with a back ache. The heat would not stay on. We were cold. I would not go back.

The staff members are exceptional. Very helpful and accommodating.

If you're looking to be close to the water, this is a good choice, but the hotel (at least my room) seemed a bit outdated and the continental breakfast was disappointing. The staff, however, were friendly and free parking was a plus. You can also walk to shops and the waterfront quickly. We spent Christmas Eve and Day here. It was a nice location. The town was great.. We had a great time. The breakfast could have had some protein of some kind, but was O.K. This was our splurge on the trip and the room was nice, but not what I would have expected for the price. This hotel has 11am checkout (not noon), which I dislike. Furthermore, to make your unwelcomeness clear the hotel key stops working in the elevator at 10:30am, making checkout more difficult.

Very comfy room and a good breakfast all at a decent price. Very clean and tidy and close to the waterfront.

The Blue Sail Inn is in an excellent location in Morro Bay. It is about a block from the pier/wharf area with restaurants and shopping. The decor is a little silly (sea shell bedspreads and dolphin wallpaper), but the rooms are great. I had a second floor room and it had a great view of the water and the rock. We had a very comfortable overnight at the Blue Sail Inn. The hotel is within walking distance of the pier, shops and restaurants. Great views of the Morro Bay Rock and great sightings of sea lions. The staff was accommodating, parking is free, the room very clean and comfortable. There was a nice continental breakfast in a very clean breakfast room. This is not a new hotel, but it's in a very nice location, within walking distance of the shore. The continental breakfast is OK, but nothing exceptional.

The hallways smelled badly. The room was outdated and and in poor condition, but it seemed clean. We stayed out late with the kids because we did not want to hang out in the room and we left as early as possible in the morning... The shower was newly tiled and clean, so that was a pleasant surprise.

This is one of the best motels in Morro Bay - good location and extra as far as price. I would recommend this motel - but try to leave enough time to make reservations as it is very popular and seems to always be full.

Clean, basic room. No frills but beds ok. Complimentary continental breakfast very limited - muffins, bagels and danish, yogurt, toaster for making toast and coffee. Great location, 1 block from street where lots of little shops and restaurants. We arrived late afternoon Wed. and shops closed at 5 pm. so didn't see but 1 shop. Freindly staff. Very clean, beautiful views, large rooms. Close to everthing. Dorns restaurant next door excellent food and drinks. Includes continental breakfast. Walking distance to everything.

The Blue Sail Inn continues to impress with friendly staff, spotless room (especially the bathroom) and convenient access to restaurants. The property is well cared for and all hallways, elevator and parking areas are clean and well-lit. My only complaint that prevents me from leaving a five star rating was the bed. This hotel is a pleasure. Inside corridors, comfortable beds, clean and convenient. We've stayed at a lot of places in Morro Bay, and this is the one we love returning to.

We stopped here for an overnight stay on our way up the coast. The hotel was fine - except for the uncomfortable bed. It was rock hard which made it nearly impossible to get a decent night's sleep. Our family of 4 stayed at the hotel over Thanksgiving, and we were very satisfied with the service and the room. Fantastic view of Morro rock, lots of restaurants, cute shops, surf and kayak rentals only one street over. Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating.

The hotes was good except for a couple items. The beds are very hard and the smoking areas. We stayed on a floor that was completely non-smoking except for 2 rooms. BUT there was a smoking area directly outside our door. We could smell the smoke in our room (very strong) especially since we wanted our window open for the cool breeze.

Convenience to the area, beauty out the window and the nautical rooms were very enjoyable. We sailed to the locals village just down the block. Restaurants close. No need to fish around, we will be back. Were hooked. Trish

Hotel is conveinently located a block from the boardwalk and easily within walking distance of both Morro Rock and the down town village area. The room was clean and in good condition. The bed could have been more comfortable but I've slept on worse. We had a really nice view of Morro Rock from our room and watching the sun go down each night was very relaxing. The employees were very friendly.

Older hotel, walls were thin (could hear the people in next room), the halls/stairwells smelled of cigarette smoke.

Beautiful location on the coast. Nice accomodations. I would stay there again.

My sister and I had our first annual "sisters vacation" in Morro Bay recently. We needed to find a nice place to stay that did not break the bank, we found it at the Blue Sail Inn. We will be back next year for our second annual trip!

Hotel bom, quarto grande, agradável, confortável. O banheiro era pequeno e poderia ser modernizado. O atendimento de check in foi bem demorado, apenas uma atendente que estava ao telefone em outra reserva e demorou bastante. Não há banheiros na recepção e com a falta de agilidade de check in depois de uma longa viagem fez falta. O café da manhã é básico […] mas satisfatório.
