Nice, modern one bedroom apartment. Large kitchen and bathroom and even enough room (just) to entertain my boyfriend's extended family of 16 when they came around for an impromptu visit!

A very spacious and well equipped room, well suited to our family with two teenagers. Convenient location, especially for theatres and restaurants. Would recommend.

Great roomy apartment especially for a family. We recently stayed 3 nights. Theatre area just around the corner and also Chinatown. Close to everything with tram closeby. Quiet and would recommend others to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We paid the extra money for the executive two bedroom apartment. So worth it. The room was really spacious and we had an amazing view over Melbourne. The staff were very helpful and the room was very clean. The parking was a bit tricky. Glad we paid for it but the driveway is very narrow and windy. Great location, nice room. Only real negative was that the "queen" bed was just two singles pushed together and joined up with this hideous velcro strip so was pretty uncomfortable.

Very convenient as well as quiet location 5 to 10 min walk to CBD or $5 by taxi to federation square. Close to a Tram station. Panoramic views of the city. Very nice staff , available 24 hrs at reception and very clean apartments. IGA store next door for essentials. Only a slight drawback is that split airconditioning is located in the lounge room and […] would be better if there was more cooling in the bedrooms. Stayed 2 nights in a 2BR apartment on level 25 in summer time. Pros: Magnificent views Good room layout. Generous sized apartment. Great kitchen. 2 Balconies. Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Cons: Furniture a bit worn King Size bed is just 2 x King Singles joined together, making the middle of the bed uncomfortable. Small TV, faulty DVD […] cable (was replaced when asked). Aircon unit in Living Room worked great, but no ducting to individual rooms ... had to leave bedroom doors open to get cool. No fly screens on doors/windows.... A spider made its way in to main bedroom via the balcony. Balcony off living room was dirty (top of hand rails) No table/chairs on bedroom balcony. The staff were welcoming and easy to approach. The lifts occasionally smelt; there were 'leftovers' from previous guests under the bed and under the cushions of the couch. Good location. Good views from the window. Reasonable value for money. The room was small (we chose the cheapest room rate and believe that other rooms are much bigger) but satisfactory for two people who simply required somewhere to sleep. The bed was a king size which was very comfortable. TV was small but at least was a digital LCD. Bathroom was […] a reasonable size and fit out was good with two sinks and large walk in shower. The bathroom did require a proper clean; e.g. dust build up in ceiling extraction fan (actually not sure if the fan was working), small amount of mould in tile grout in shower, some dust and hair on bathroom floor when we arrived. Staff were friendly and helpful on arrival although they did not seem overly concerned when we reported to them upon check out that someone on our floor had loud music playing from 05.30am that morning. We were so delighted with our 1 bed apartment. Beds were so comfortable, rooms value for money and the position was fantastic. We went back a week later because we just wanted to experience the luxury before flying out to WA.

Oaks on Lonsale is in a great CBD location - near trams, restaurants and supermarkets. The 24/7 service desk was excellent for us as we didnt get in til midnight. Would stay there again.

The room and staff we're good, the only thing I did not like was not having a seating area, either in my room or a retreat area in the hotel to lounge in.

Excellent and helpful staff, the hotel is superbly positioned and Melbourne seems easily accessible from it. The bathroom needs extra towel hanging rails as there is only one. Also, the bath/shower is not easy to get into or out of, and older people might experience some problems...

We were on the 23rd floor looking over Lonsdale Street, and into the parks beyond, not a bad view. The self-contained 1 bedroom apartment itself was very tired and in need of a complete repaint and furniture replacement. We had to contact reception, the kitchen was not properly stocked and no instruction manuals for the kitcen appliances, a few laminated […] signs would have sorted out how to work the appliances. We had a lovely time exploring Melbourne and the hotel was convenient. The last night some drunk fools set off the fire alarm, 23 floors via the emergency stairs at 5am not fun. On arriving at ground floor we found a very uninterested staff member (only one on duty) who eventually said it was a false alarm and to go back upstairs. The king bed room on the 27th floor was very good. Spacious and nicely furnished, with a separate loungeroom and with a microwave in the well stocked kitchen. Hotel was close to town and transport service from staff was great always there if you needed to ask directions rooms clean and tidy so glad we got the upgrade to the one bedroom apartment Great view of the city from the 21st floor. wolud not hesitate to stay here again

Our room was a rather small studio but the bed was very comfortable for 2 people and the bathroom was excellent. We could have done with a chair in the room as there was no where but the bed to sit on. The hotel was situated well and offered excellent customer service. The room was clean and had a lovely view. The room was also well appointed with a very comfortable bed (hard to find in hotels and motels). The only suggestions I would put forward are that a couple of hooks in the bathroom would be useful for clothing, an extra towel for ladies with […] long hair and the car-park is a nightmare! One ramp for entry and exit????? I know you have limited space but Victorian planning laws may need review. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I will stay at this hotel again. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel in general and my room in particular. The hotel is close to a number of City Circle stops. I was disappointed to find no microwave in the kitchenette or a table and chair to sit at/on for my evening meal. The bathroom had plenty of room for toiletries and was very well appointed.

The room was great, staffs were friendly and helpful, the location of the hotel is very close to the cbd and to other great city spots. Room was clean, though i think they need to pay more attention on the bathroom cleanliness (found some stain near the toilet area) Overall we will definetely return for more stays.

Stayed one night in a one bedroom apartment the couch needed to be cleaned and cleaning staff came in just before 10 oclock check out and asked if we were checking out. and i feel that the offfice staff need to be a little more friendly and too smile .

Unfrotunately first impressions are made at reception and the lady that served us was not the most helpful and certainly wasn't into customer service. Room was spacious and location great for us but as mentioned the staff did little and were not helpful. Everything was good although there was not enough cutlery and crockery for 4 people.We only had 2 butter knives, 2 coffee cups etc. Some items had a set of 4 but a lot missing.

A good location, just a 10 minute walk from the CBD. We had a one bedroom apartment which was spacious and well equipped. There was a small balcony with a table and 2 chairs. Reception was excellent, friendly and efficient staff. No problem to store bags after checking out. Would not hesitate to recommend this as a good place to stay in Melbourne, with […] the proviso that it is not a full service hotel, ie no restaurant etc, but as a self catering option, excellent. Our rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The heating was great and the kitchen really good, except some of the crockery was dirty when I got it out of the cupboard. Not enough tea bags were provided There was only one couch to sit on and with four people there wasn't enough seating to watch TV or just relax. hotel was excellect! stayed in a 1 bed apartment, looked like something from a magazine & was quite cumfy. bathroom was good size. staff were really good except for one. i had checked out in the morning and paid for internet (which was a little expensive, but not a big deal) with my bank card and the gentleman at reception forgot to give me my card […] back and i was too focused on putting bags in the luggage room and signing out to notice. i didnt realise my card was missing until later that night when i went to take money out. i went straight back to the hotel & they couldnt find it anywhere. the girl at reception (who was really kind and helpful, could not fault her at all!) said that she hadnt been told anything and when they find a card they usually keep it in a certain spot and phone the person. well as the card couldn't be found i phoned to cancel the card. just after i had cancelled it, they found the card, but unfortunatelly the cancellation had already gone through. thankfully the person i was staying with still had some cash on them & i had put a little bit of money aside otherwise i dont know what i would have done because we would not have been able to get home (bank was closed & we were from interstate). i think it's disgraceful that he did not call to tell me my card was there! i dont know if its was because he was just lazy or cause im younger he thought it wasnt a big deal, but it is & either way its still bad customer service. apart from that it was quite good. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was spacious and Clean. Also we had the advantage of a balcony looking onto other highrise buildings this was a bonus as their were no traffic noises throughout the night. If we had a balcony onto the road towards the park it would have been noisy. If you like a quiet sleep ask for balcony room overlooking […] buildings not the road or park. If you prefer a view remember the traffic noise at night. We would return to this property again. Only disadvantage is that it doesn't have a pool or gym or restaurant. However there is room service available (not breakfast), and the property is close to many restaurants. Very convenient to the Exhibition Building and Museum and Musical Theatres. The stay was great, hotel fine, however the people who booked next door partied most of Saturday night & played loud music then again early in the morning i.e. 4am when they arrived home from their night clubbing. There was also several people in the room at the one time making a lot of noise. We wondered who was on the front desk at the time.
