Hotellin sijainti hyvä, vierestä menee U-bahn, ihan lähellä myös muutama hyvä kahvila-leipomo, sekä ruokakauppa. Pienen kävelymatkan päässä suosittu ravintolakatu halvoilla hinnoilla. loistava sijainti, metroasema heti kun tullaan ovesta ulos. Budjettireissuun passeli. Hyvin siivottu paitsi imurointi unohtunut ja muutenkin kamalat lattiamatot. Huone oli ´muuten ihan uusi ja siisti.

Good value for money. Location excellent, right next to U-Bahn entrance. The staff friendly and helpful and room clean and well serviced.

Couldn't be more convenient, and the staff was always friendly, helpful and attentive. The room and hotel were clean, they have free internet access in the lobby along w/ free teas that my wife drank daily. Only reason it wasn't a perfect 5 on everything was because the pillows in our room were bigger than most couch cushions I have so they were very […] uncomfortable to sleep on. I never asked if they had any different pillows so who knows, maybe smaller ones do exist. The subway stop is literally right outside the door so it couldn't be closer to getting you to where you need to go and there is a convenience store across the street in case you need any water, juice or even alcohol. This hotel was one of the nicest Ive stayed in so far in europe. the U bahn station is literally right outside the door, which brings you every where. it is a very central location and you are in walking distance of some cool bars and restaurants. Shopping centre just a couple of blocks away and the staff in the hotel were really friendly and helpful. […] they spoke good english! free computers with wifi which were handy for booking stuff from the hotel !! Hotel is very good compared to its price, clean rooms. Staff in reception very helpful! A draw back was no water heater in the room. Easy accessible from the city center by S/U-ban, 5-10 minute walk to restaurant/bar area. Walk south west to see the more hip areas (towards Mariannenplatz).

Stayed here recently on a short visit to Berlin. The hotel is part of the Best Western chain so as per most of their hotels it's a superior tourist class hotel. Very modern and clean with nice sized rooms. Breakfast was an additional 9 euros so i didn't go for that as you can pick up a couple of fresh bread rolls from the bakery outside for less than […] a euro. The room was a nice size and very clean and well laid out. The bathroom was also spacious and clean. The location is great for exploring Berlin as the Samaritstrasse U-Bahn station is literally on the doorstep of the entrance. This makes it ideal for exploration and the central Alexanderplatz area and Mitte are just 10 minutes away by the cheap and reliable underground train. Would definitely recommend this one. On the Hotel website there was a statement that the room has a broad-band wi-fi. Actually the system was not working in my room at all, (including ethernet connection). Great hotel for the price, next to the metro station, in less than 10 minutes you can reach Alexader Platz. The room was great, the staff helpful and nice.

Right next to the Underground station, this hotel was quite a good value for the price. It was quiet at night and the air conditioning worked quite well. The rooms were small but adequite. Pros: * In front of the underground station which is perfect to go to the city or to schoenefeld airport. * Great value for money (we got a special fare of 40 euros per night the double room). * Neighbourhood is quite convenient for grocery shopping in case you plan to live off food from the super markets (Netto is right next door). * Wifi for free […] but quite week in the room. U-Bahn on your doorstep. Fine Hotel.

If you want to experience the east of Berlin, this hotel is a perfect base for your journey. It does not take more than 15-20 minutes to travel to Potsdamer Platz if you want to visit center or the western parts of Berlin. There is a subway station right outside the hotel. We will certainly book this hotel again when we go to Berlin. We had a comfort room that was spacious, clean and, yes, comfortable. A few steps from the front door is the UBahn so in minutes you are in Alexanderplatz, from where you can walk to everywhere central. The neighbourhood is lively but not noisy. No tea/coffee making equipment. The view from our window was a good reason to keep the net curtains closed - a courtyard of rubbish and graffitti. We didn't have breakfast as there were so many briliiant cafes offering great food in less bland surroundings for less money. Just head for town from Alexanderplatz or go two steps to the bakery next to the hotel. Great location, within walking distance of loads of pubs and 30seconds from the underground.

Enjoyed our stay in Berlin, a couple of gripes with hotel, the room was far too hot, even in October it was quite cold outside, but the room was stifling, the other thing we did not have was a kettle, first time ever in a Best Western hotel, I like a cup of tea first thing in the morning, the hotel breakfast is totally over-priced at 9 euros, we had […] a great breakfast over the road for 3 euros. We were in Berlin to see the sights but also to do a bit of nightclubbing. This hotel is in a perfect location for both. Right next to the U-bahn and a stone's throw for the S-bahn made it easy to get into the City Centre. Around the hotel, there are many interesting streets with bars and clubs. The nightclubs around Warschauer Street are in old warehouse […] type venues. The bars range from arty and trendy to authentic communist-style drinking dens. Prices in this area are very reasonable too. Lots of places to eat nearby. There are Italian, Mexican and Chinese restaurants very close to the hotel and even McDonalds or Burger King for a quick snack. The hotel itself is comfortable. Basic, but has everything you need. Free internet access in the hotel as well as a small bar. Rooms are clean and very quiet - no street noise and staff were knowledgable and friendly. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Couldn't fault the hotel. Spotlessly clean, efficient, helpful service from front desk. Comfortable room with excellent ensuite. Great location 50 metres from U-bahn entrance 5 stops to centre of city. Excellent price - would have paid much more for similar standard in other cities. Off to a bad start when the shower drain was clogged with hair and wouldn't drain. After some discussion with the staff on duty - who seemed to know nothing and kept telling us to ask his colleague in the morning - we got another room, which had no problems. Nice location 100 feet from the steps down to the underground, although not the main line, […] so it does require some transfers to get to most tourist attractions. They offer many items for use at the front desk, but they require a cash deposit for each of them. So make sure you have some spare cash before you try to borrow an ethernet cord (since there is no wifi) or an iron and ironing board. I find this ridiculous since these items should be provided in every room anyway, so to have to ask for them at the front desk in the first place seems silly, and then to have to pay a deposit is laughable. And be sure to ask for your money back when you turn things back in, because depending on the competence of the staff, they don't automatically give it back. Breakfast is very over-priced, but there are multiple bakeries and a small grocery store within a 2 minute walk of the hotel. Lisätietoja

The hotel is in Friedrichshain which is generally quite a cool place for youngish people (18-40?). Just across Frankfurter Allee (which is also very interesting for anyone keen on Socialist archictecture/ symbolism) there are loads of trendy little bars and restaurants. One stop down from Samariter Strasse U- bahn (right outside the hotel) at Frankfurter […] Tor you've got a tram service which takes you either south, 5 mins, to Kreuzberg (again very good for restaurants, bars, and just wandering around) and the East side Gallery (most interesting part of the wall), or north to Prenzlauer Berg (again great for wandering, eating and drinking). It's about four or five stops to Alexanderplatz and you can get everywhere from there. From our experience the Eastern areas are much livlier and less touristy. I don't think an older couple would be too keen on the area as it is quite dirty and covered in grafitti. Personally I loved it! This hotel is in an excellent location. Entry to the subway is just outside the front door of the hotel and from here the whole city is accessible. There is a supermarket and bakery next to the hotel and the area is full of cheap, great quality restaurants of all cuisines, all within easy walking distance. The neighbourhood is interesting and the shopping […] is great. The hotel room was modern and clean, and very importantly it was sound-proofed so there was no traffic noise. Hotel was very Clean and Modern. Room and bathroom were a good size and apeared recently refubished. Would recoment it to anyone visiting Berlin as the underground was right outside the hotel, to Alexanderplatz in 5 min.

This Best Western has a lot going for it: comfortable rooms, great bathrooms with excellent water pressure and heated towel racks, and a location convenient to the U-bahn Samariterstrasse. Bear in mind that only the U5 stops at Samariterstrasse, however, so transit in and out of city center requires transfers – at least one and usually two. Nearby restaurants […] and cafes are very convenient, offering inexpensive meals and fast service. The grocery store located two doors down was helpful. There is a lot of graffiti in this area, however, I understand that this characteristic is indicative of most areas of Berlin. My only real issue with the hotel is that it was advertised as having Wifi access, which was extremely important for the duration of my stay as my partner was working the entire time. When we arrived, we were told that the internet just went down in the entire hotel due to a problem with the provider and that they hoped it would be repaired by the following day. Two more days passed without internet access – two more days spent in the lovely internet cafes down the road, a necessity due to work and one that would have been avoided by being able to work in the evenings, had the internet worked as advertised. I have to admit that we were concerned about access because of a review we read indicating trouble in 2008; however, we took the chance, assured that there would be Wifi on the hotel’s website and in the description on Hotels.com. Even though they said that the internet had just gone down – I found myself wondering if it ever worked at all. More than worth the money. The hotel is on par with other 3 star hotels, but it's next to the underground, a bakery and a supermarket. What more could you ask for at this price?

Stayed here for 4 nights from 8 June to 12 June 2009. Reception when we arrived at 10 minutes past 12 at night was very friendly and helpful. Same receptionist every evening. Room was very clean, bathroom was spotless! Room was adequate size . Bed was very comfortable and after all the walking round the city I slept like a log. Hotel very convenient for the S bahn station as it is right out side the hotel. Was in Alexander Platz within minutes. Felt safe in the area around the hotel. Apart from the fact that one elevator was broken and we were on the top floor of the hotel so we spent a LOT of time waiting for elevators, everything about this hotel was great. I was worried about being in a suburb area instead of staying in central Berlin, but the hotel is actually very conveniently located, with a U-bahn stop right outside. It […] only took us a few minutes to get into town each day and an unlimited bus pass for a week was only 26 euro. We saved a lot of money by staying at this hotel (it was probably 20 euro cheaper per night than the cheapest hotel we could find in central Berlin) and the room was one of the nicest we've had in this price range.
