Wingate by Wyndham Columbia / Lexington - Lexington

This hotel was located extremely close to the venue for a friend's wedding. It was a great place to sleep & get ready - no real leisure time spent here. No complaints.

Went to Columbia, SC for the 1st time to vacation & spend time with relatives who live in Greenville & had a great stay at this hotel. Staff was friendly & helpful in every way. Room & beds were very comfy. Breakfast was very good & had a little bit & plenty of everything. Would recomend this hotel to family & friends...

My wife and I have stayed here a number of times, on trips to visit family in the area. We keep coming back because the hotel is clean, spacious and comfortable, and because the staff are unfailingly helpful and friendly. My husband and I recently stayed at the Wingate in Lexington S.C. with our son and our nephew. We booked a king suite, in hopes it would be two separated rooms for more privacy. The rooms were not separated...to better describe...the two rooms shared one t.v. We did enjoy the hotel, the hot breakfast was great! Cleaning service was great! Lots of smiling […] faces. At check in we had to take the room key to the front desk 3 times before it worked...the girl seemed annoyed, but we were also. Other than her, everyone was friendly. Caution: check in after 4 PM. We arrived at 1:00 and waited till 3:50 for our room. Courteous employees. No smoking anywhere within premises. Nice hotel, spacious lobby area and breakfast dining with flat screens. Only 3 (?) miles to I-26. Shopping close by. Would stay here again!

Much better than the 2-1/2 star rating!! Loud due to highway noise, but that can not be helped. Nice staff. Pretty good breakfast but not enough space for the amount of people. Overall - a really good place to stay!

I would highly recommend this place. It's was clean,quite,cozy,comfortable ,safe and has good customer service. Good staff who were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was okay too. Very convenient location. Off of the highway yet close to the suburb and downtown. We were visiting from Maryland and if we are back here we will definatety stay here. The Wingate offers spacious rooms at a good price. You can prepare a full breakfast for yourself as well.

Exceptionally enjoyable 4 night stay with friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, excellent complimentary breakfast with many great choices and overall relaxing atmosphere comparable to 4 and 5 star hotels. Loved the convienience of the hotel's location and the cleanliness of the hotel as well as the room.

If you are looking for a clean, affordable hotel with great customer service...you found it! The only thing is where it is located, it makes you wonder because of the weeds as you turn onto driveway. Once you pull in front and go in...your mind is at rest!

I had a bottle of wine that I brought with me from a favorite winery in California (can't purchase it at any store only at the winery). Went to the bar to get them to open it for me. (which they did and it was her personal opener, not Wingate's) The asked me if I needed a glass, and I replied no, I brought my own. The Bartender and I were talking about […] the wine and I asked did she want to try it. She did. I went back to my room. On the day I was leaving, there was a bill for $5.00 for a glass of Chardonay. I was being charged for them opening MY bottle of wine. I went down to the Front Desk, and Grace (very sweet young lady) told me no problem, that she would take it off the bill. Other than that minor situation, I would high recomment anyone to stay there. The whole staff is wonderful. Just remember to bring or get your own wine bottle opener, if you purchase your own wine. The hotel is beautiful and spotless. Very convenient to downtown Columbia. Beds very comfortable. We are already planning a return visit in September.

The hotel staff was rude-- particularly the person who was covering the breakfast area. She acted like the guests were intruding. The orange juice was more like orange colored water Front desk did not even ask how the hotel was when we checked out. Pool was out of service and could not be used. The facilities were average which was disappointing […] considering the hotel is relatively new. The service and attitude of the hotel staff makes me not willing to suggest this hotel to anyone. This place is beautiful. The only issue we had was the beautifully decorated bed was hard as a rock! Wonderful, first class linens, but the bed was so hard we were unable to get a good rest! The street address does not come up on GPS, either. It was not hard to find since it was still daylight when we arrived. Breakfast was pleasant, as well. Friendly, […] helpful staff. The experience we had at this hotel was nice. The staff was nvery nice and professional, and the room was clean. The location was central to both Columbia and Lexington, and other areas. There is a great coffee shop - Jamestown Coffee - just down the road from the hotel that we highly recommend. Also, we found that Lexington was much more desireable […] to us that was Columbia. Very nice hotel. The room was spacious and everything looked new. Our kids swam in the pool which was one of the reasons we booked this hotel. I would definitely highly recommend this Wingate.

took a wrong turn before arriving, one phone call to front desk got me back on track with very courteous specific directions. excellent service from checking in to checking out! very conveniently located right off interstate exit, many great restaurants within 2-3 miles, stayed 3 days & each morning the continental breakfast was fabulous. left my vehicle's […] lights on & ran down my battery when I desperately needed to be at a scheduled appt. I cannot praise the young lady enough that checked me in for immediately finding jumper cables & jumping my car’s battery off all within 10 minutes! Absolutely loved house keeping for their smiling faces & for leaving me extra bath & body products, especially when they are the great Neutrogena products! Finding this hotel is the main problem. My GPS did not register this hotel, and it took me across town to another Wingate. I had to get written driving directions to my actual hotel, which was on the outskirts of town. My hotel turned out to be clean and the people very very friendly, but I actually preferred the Wingate where I received the written […] directions (for locale only). It was more centralized and there were shops, restaurants, a movie theater, etc within walking distance of the hotel. Next time, I'll stay at the Wingate at Harbison. Lisätietoja

good value. columbia was our stop in between cities and this area right was off the freeway, and had any ameninities you might need to stretch your legs. there was a "bar" that served drinks until 8pm. Chili's restaurant is in the adjacent lot. Our family of four were the only people at the pool ,anymore people and it may have been crowded This hotel […] did not get a 5 because they were unable to meet our request for extra towels, we had to use our room towels for the pool, and were unable to recieve any others. This hotel was beautiful, clean, and felt much more expensive than it was. I would rate it as one of the best hotels in which I've stayed.

Everything was wonderful. Very clean and new, Chili's located behind the hotel, very accommodating after my surgery. Would definitely stay again.

We have relatives in West Columbia SC and this hotel as become our choice hotel over the years. We come back again and again. Everything you would want in a hotel is here.

This is a nice hotel in a fairly new subdivision. The place was really nice, great value for the money, however there was only a nearby Chili's for dinner. All in all a nice quiet place to stay.
