Le Rivage Hotel - Sacramento

Great massage at Spa La Le and excellent dinner at Scott's. Most of the staff were VERY helpful and friendly except for one. But all in all a lovely hotel.

The hotel is very beautiful and nice. It is a bit far from the city center, but the comfort, the restuarant and the serrounding make up for the distance.

Requested a microwave the day we arrived since my son has a dietary restriction due to a kidney disease and did not receive one until 3 days later. we only stayed 3 nights. was staying in room 302 and was a little dissapointed in thehumming noise that goes on day and night I called front desk and they replied I do not know what you mean. Very difficult […] to sleep with the sound of what ever that machine is above 302. Must be venting system or AC. For the price paid for a night I would think these simple things would not be happening. Sorry would not stay there again. Lisätietoja

Be careful, they will barge into your room if you are not quick to answer the door. Overall, wonderful stay!

WE loved our stay at the hotel! It is quiet, river view, and the food was wonderful. We ate lunch & breakfast and portions were good and quality to match! We will stay there again in about 3 weeks.

My daughter and I recently stayed at Le Rivage for one night and were very pleasantly surprised. We had a wide selection of hotels to choose from but Le Rivage had very good reviews and we were not disappointed. Everything about the hotel was top notch and i would definitely stay there again. The only complaint I might have (and it is not a biggie) […] was about the parking. The valet parking was very expensive, I think it was around $21 per night, which you might expect to pay in an inner city hotel but I thought it was an awful lot for this location. The self parking was very very far away, although it was a pleasant walk along the river levee and we were offered a ride by security which we declined. I also noticed that the valet lot was virtually empty so that might tell you that nobody wants to pay that much for it! Lower the price and you will get some takers. Lisätietoja

Nice, clean, conveniently located off I-5 far enough away not to hear the highway noise. The beds are super comfortable and the bathtub adds an extra luxurious touch. Free wireless internet and parking...that's a bonus you don't see too often these days. The restaurant had good food and great service. For its original nightly rate which is quite expensive, I expected much more. I got the room @ what I felt was a deal from the regular nightly rate. The room was standard, was awaken by the morning light shining through the curtain, the shower was small, could not enjoy a shower with my husband, & no we are not overweight, but the bathtub was beaut […] iful. We enjoyed our 1 night stay at La Rivage. The rooms are very nice. The beds are super soft and cozy and the bathroom has a nice shower plus an awesome claw foot tub. We checked in about 30 minutes early and although our room was not ready they were able to change us into a different room. The view of the river is very nice. Parking is a little inconvienent […] but they provide a shuttle from the parking lot to the hotel if you are unable to walk. It would also be nice if the hotel was located closer to other Sacramento attractions, but it is nice to be along the river. We also ate at the restaurant on the property and it was very good. You can't beat the quality of this hotel at this price. Room was clean except for the shower (had a few hairs from the previous guest). Room was extremely nice and bed/pillows were the most comfortable I've ever slept on in a hotel. Location was good, but more in a neighborhood setting. Nothing is in walking distance and this hotel is not in downtown. […] Was a little difficult to find at night. Use "1020 Captain Tables Road" for your GPS instead of the published address. The only little complaint there is about the room was when turning up the heat in the room, the air blowing out from heating system was loud was quite disturbing to our sleep. Otherwise, my family enjoyed the stay at Le Rivage. Overall, very satisfied and signed up as a preferred one member.

This hotel was perfect for my kids and I. It was very clean, nice and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Very nice hotel tucked away from the city's hustle-bustle yet close enough to make it convenient. The hotel staff working the valet parking and front door really did a great job in setting the mood for the hotel. We felt welcome and pampered. We had a good dinner and friendly service in Scott's restaurant.

Good service and comfort. Nice view of Marina and River. The only issue is self parking which is limited and a long walk to the hotel. The Restaurant is very good. WiFi available and good connection.

As many times as we've traveled to and stayed in Sacramento, we had no idea that this hotel existed. It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely setting. The staff was excellent and professional, and much like you would expect or hope for in a big city, elegant hotel. They even helped us find a local place to watch a sporting event which unfortunately was not […] carried on the hotel TV. The rooms are large, pretty, quiet, and comfortable. The restaurant - Scott's - is one of our favorites from the old San Francisco days, and it did not disappoint. Very nice place, wish I had more time to explore. Comfortable room, friendly staff, etc. Did have one strange experience though...in bed almost asleep and the room started shaking...thought we were witnessing a mild CA earthquake, but it stopped only to start again a short time later. Called the front desk and learned our room (No. 205) was over the […] laundryroom and when the industrial dryer loads get off center they really bang around. Excellent hotel. Great service all around and I would be happy to stay again, should I be in the area. The only downside would be that the restaurant did not live up to our expectations...the food was not great but the friendly staff made up for it.

we shown up with a boat and the security guy helped us parked. The service is detail oriented. Notice that the maria is closed. We can't dock our boat overnight there which is a bit disappointment. I hope the fix the marina soon. It's a waste not to have a marina since the hotel is situated next to the river.

We chose Le Rivage for a romantic night out, and the place didn't disappoint. Service was excellent, the staff courteous and efficient. The grounds were beautiful. Our room was spacious, scrupulously clean, and tastefully decorated. The bed was super comfortable with a down comforter and nice linens. And the bathroom! If you like to while away an hour […] or two in a claw-foot bath, this is the place for you. Bring your own bubblebath; the hotel provides a small packet of uninspired bath salts. Their other toiletries were quite nice. The room was well-appointed, but wine glasses would have been a welcome addition. We ordered a room service breakfast expecting the average, so we were blown away by the elegant cart of food that we received. Their creme brulee french toast, more like a bread pudding, was decadent and rich. Their fruit plate was gorgeous. Normally room service is overpriced and not very good, but we found the price to be reasonable considering what they served. Le Rivage is right off of highway 5, and the highway noise is considerable. We had a river view room, so we were insulated a bit from the noise. The traffic was pretty loud out on our balcony, but the room was very well soundproofed we could only hear the slightest whisper of highway noise. We were on the Northern wing of the building; the Southern wing was a little farther from the highway and might have been a little more quiet. We enjoyed the view of the river and the lights from the marina on the other side. Their workout room featured several high quality cardio machines with a view of the pool and jacuzzi. Spa services are offered, but we didn't take advantage of them. We couldn't be bothered to leave our comfy room. I can understand why so many weddings happen at Le Rivage; the place is gorgeous and romantic. We look forward to staying there in the future. Lisätietoja

Had to drive down to LA for family reasons from northern California. Picked this hotel as a half-way point. The hotel is nicely maintained, and the on-site restaurant had a nice breakfast selection. Air conditioner worked well, which was good as I like a cool room to sleep in at night. The room was nice and clean.

Nice hotel on the surface, the room air conditioning was all or nothing. It was like have a jet engine in the room that blew freezing cold air on you. A 16 inch square grate emitted high pressure freezing air directly at the bed. I was up and down all night turning it on and off in an attempt to get comfortable. The bed pillows were gigantic round tubular […] things that could cause a serious kink in your neck. Not good at all. Lastly, I called for a 6:00 AM wake up call, but because I had such a horrible night I was awake already. By 6:15 I still had not received the call. I picked up the phone, and it was dead. I went ahead and showered then packed my stuff to check out. I went to the front desk and said "boy it's a good thing I didn't have an important plane to catch, or else I could have missed it!." The girl at the desk asked what I meant. I explained what had happened, and she said my wake up call went out in a very rude and matter of fact way. I told her that I had picked up the phone and it was dead. She just looked at me as if I was from another planet. No "I'm terribly sorry sir", no "I will have someone check that phone line", Nothing! This hotel feels like it should be a lot more expensive. Luxurious touches throughout. Nicely appointed, spacious rooms. Efficient service. Be sure to ask for a riverside room!

This a a wonderful hotel with beautiful rooms. Very clean no dust just very nice. Dinner was not all that great but breakfast was excellent. I would definatkey recommend and would stay there again. Beautiful scenery too.

My stay was spectacular!! The staff is incredible and even though my room was not on the river view side it was still wonderful. I will stay there again for sure! Totally worth the money! Oh........... and the food at the restaurant is heaven!!

Wow, am I ever glad I found this hotel on Hotels.com! What a beautiful place that charges very reasonable rates. I was in the area for a surgical procedure, and had to be near my Doctor for a few days post-op, and the staff was so helpful grabbing me a wheel chair for the days following my surgery. Price is always a consideration these days but I decided I wanted some really nice accomodations--even if it cost me a little more. I found Le Rivage to be a great place and priced right. The staff was courteous, friendly and very competent. I'll be back for sure.

Can't be beat for the price, very happy with the stay.

The hotel was magnificent, especially for the price. I called in advanced to find out if they ever had reports of bedbugs, and they had not. We selected 3 single rooms and paid a great price. The rooms were all immaculate in cleanliness, and staff was competent and friendly. Just be aware that you will have to walk a bit if you don't get close parking, […] but there is a security shuttle and the surrounding neighborhood is nice. Next time, we will splurge the extra $ for rooms with a view of the marina, instead of a room with a view of my a/c unit. Everything about this hotel is excellent. Our room was spacious and well equipped, the en suite was large with a free standing bath tub and separate shower. All toiletries were provided together with bath robes. The staff were friendly, very helpful and professional. In the evening we ate outside overlooking the river, again we received excellent service, […] the waiter was attentive and when he realised we were celebrating our wedding anniversary served us complimentary desserts. The hotel was more than I expected and also very accommodating and beautiful. The room was gorgeous looking over the river and the bathroom especially was incredible with a large classic looking soaking tub. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Sacramento area. While a little out of the city it was still more than worth it.
