"Pleasant Stay"
Our accommodations were very good, and overall we were pleased. However, there was one mishap. The Inn parking lot had a tree that splattered red berries on the hood, roof and front and rear windows of our car. They could not be scraped off as the heat plastered them onto our car. "Great boutique style hotel"
We were presently surprised with both the downtown location and the large size of our room at this quaint "inn". The Andrew Pickney is comprised of at least two buildings and both are styled with classic southern charm. We will make this a stopping place in the future.
For the price of this hotel, it was a great value. The location is unbeatable. The room was comfortable. Bathroom was a bit tight, but that was the only downfall. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was included and was delicious! No room service or workout facilities, but that was unimportant to us.

The location and ambience of this hotel was so charming, old world but yet updated with a casual elegance. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was lovely, and the fresh baked cookies in the lobby were a treat! Had a wonderful suite room with lots of room and comfy sofa, chairs and bed. Highly recommend this hotel.

I've stayed at this hotel before and had a great stay. It's in a great location, and breakfast on the roof is so nice (even in February1). This time our room was only big enough to fit the bed - this made it uncomfortable all night as the room got hot, then freezing when the air kicked on right next to the bed. The bathroom was a foot from whoever is […] watching tv on the bed - a little too cozy. And there were no windows. I should have complained that night and asked for a bigger room but I thought it would be a funny story, until the morning when I hadn't slept at all. "Fantastic Stay"
The location cannot be beat.....within walking distance of almost everything. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The front desk employees were very nice and helpful. The parking lot was small and backing out was a pain....there were major amounts of bird dropping the next morning, but not a big deal. Exelent place to stay we were able to walk to everything in the Historic district, great resturants also. Staff extremely helpful, i will stay there again!
Great place to stay in Charleston. Attentive staff, nice big room although we had to rearrange the large chairs in order to watchtower TV. Wonderful location to walk about the historic/French districts and to the waterpark. We were there 3 nights and never had to use our car while there.
"Lovely old inn, extremely friendly service"
It's a old-fashioned but then that's Charleston. No safe in the room but the front desk would lock up anything you want. The service was delightful, the breakfast super, suggestions for activities and places to eat right on the money. The bathtub had some dirt at the bottom when we came in from dinner. I called housekeeping who said it if it was alright […] with us they would come first thing in the morning. That they did though by that time, the tub had 4-6 inches of water in it as well. Workman and front desk apologized profusely and by the time we were back from our morning walking tour, the whole drain had been replaced and everything worked perfectly. Asked for a quiet room and they put me right under the patio they serve breakfast on which they start preparing at 5:30am and you could here everything and could not sleep...

We had a wonderful stay. The inn keeper was very helpful, rooms were comfortable, location was excellent. The only thing that was disappointing was breakfast. It was your typical bagels and muffins. The view from the roof top was so nice that it deserved more variety for breakfast. My recommendation for the Inn: upgrade your breakfast!
The room was a little smaller than we expected, but the king size bed was the most comfortable that I have ever slept on. We loved having breakfast on the terrace each morning. It was a very convenient location, but the traffic was a little noisy in the am. It was also very nice to have free parking (it was $15 a day everywhere else!).

"Fabulous Extended Weekend for Two"
We were looking to get away with our best friends and Charleston SC was the halfway point for both of us.. We selected this hotel because of its location to downtown, points of interest and its quaint historical style. We were amazed with the friendleness of its staff, the amazing service and above all....the daily breakfast served on the rooftop overlooking […] the market-- with the span bridge and the USS Yorktown in the distance. Everything was at our fingertips and if you needed help--Sandy at the front desk was the person who made things happen! Beautiful little inn right in the heart of historic Charleston. Our only issues were cosmetic (cracked walls, peeling paint, funhouse stairs), which given the age of the building, are not too bad. Not very baby/toddler friendly. Best thing about it was the continental breakfast on the roof overlooking the city. Simply beautiful.

I have stayed at at the Andrew Pinckney Inn several times before and will return again. Charleston is a wonderful walking city and the hotel is conveniently located for exploring the city on foot. There are also many nice restaurants and good shopping nearby. The only downside of this hotel is that the breakfast is only "fair" at best....the pastries […] and biscuits are consistently on the stale side but the cereal, toast and yogurt do provide a nice start to the day. And the lovely covered porch is perfect for relaxing and drinking coffee and juice. But hurry...the breakfast foods run out early! The hotel staff is professional and attentive to detail. The hotel was very nice. Breakfast was great and was up on the hotel roof. The people at the front desk were fantastic. My only criticism is that the bathroom was not quite as clean as it should have been. The woodwork was dusty and the cabinet looked like it hadn't been washed down in a long time. Otherwise it was a great hotel.

Eight of us were scheduled to stay at the Andrew Pinckney. We travel together somewhere every year. We loved the second floor sitting area right outside our room. We felt it was planned just for us. "Great small hotel near everything"
This is our 3rd stay at the Andrew Pinckney Inn. I love the location and the roof top deck for the continental breakfast has some of the best views of the Ravenel Bridge - for free. The staff is really helpful and friendly. Chocolate chip cookies in the lobby are a nice touch and my husband never passed by without grabbing one.

I don't normally post reviews but I felt like it was needed for the kind of stay we had. This was a lovely hotel..as you soon as you walk in you smell the old inn smell like it has been around for years. I loved how elegant but comfortable it was. The walls are a little thin like what other reviewers have said but you are in the middle of downtown Charleston […] and we didn't mind hearing people walk by..it was because they were loud and it only lasted a few seconds, nothing bothersome. It added to the feel of the stay. I like knowing people are around and having a good time. We did not have room service because we had the privacy sign up the whole weekend and even though we did, we would find numerous towels and other toiletries without even asking! they took really good care of us. The breakfast was amazing and the cookies in the lobby were delicious! Also, with never having been there before, numerous front desk staff booked reservations for us and told us what would be good to do for the weekend. For labor day weekend, it was crowded, but we were still able to do everything we wanted. The hotel is also in close proximity to everything..the market, shops and restaurants. There is a difference between old and dirty. This room was dirty. It was the dirtiest room that I have stayed in and it also had a musty smell. The wallpaper and paint was coming off the walls. "Great experience!"
We had a great time at the hotel. It was small, but that's no big deal when you're there for the location, which is AMAZING. The only issue we had was that the TV remote was broken, but that's no big deal at all. The concierge and staff were super friendly and helpful! We'll totally go there again.

"Perfect placement"
Couldn't be better located for a stay in Charleston. I'd recommend the hotel and the nearby Anson Restaurant. Just wish I could have stayed longer!
