We choose the Almondy for a 3 night get away the weeknd before Christamas. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left , we were thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Almondy. The hospitality was the best we have ever encountered at a B&B. Homemade rolls and breakfast were served each morning, wine and cheese in the afternoon, and enough good conversation to brighten each and every day. We can't imagining staying at any other place when visiting Newport . This inn is most highly recommended, the innkeepers understand how they make a stay special. My daughter and I were in Newport for less than 24 hours. We were delighted with the Almondy. The inn is in the heart of everything - a great start to walking around the harbor. Perfect location, lovely B&B. Our only problem was that the air conditioning seemed to be on when it was a cool fall day. It was cold in our room overnight, and when I went to the hallway and saw the thermostat, it was showing 65 degrees. And since the hallway had no air registers and was noticeably warmer than our room, I'm guessing it must have been […] no more than 62 in the room. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had to get used to a little smaller space in comparison to hotel, but it was worth it. The breakfast was delicious as was the coffee. The attendant was very pleasant and accomodating.

This was one of the nicest B&B's I have ever stayed at. Location was main and main; service and food were outstanding; the room was nicely decorated, clean and plenty big. Everythng was better than advertised.

We loved the Almondy. The B and B has been lovingly restored and is close to all Newport attractions. there is on site parking as well.

The inn is lovely and in a good location. However, the air-conditioning cannot be adjusted individually per room so that we were dreadfully cold most of the time. At night, we had to wear two woollen jumpers ... in July! But then again, most people did not seem to mind.

The hosts couldn't be nicer. Delicious breakfast every morning. Very friendly and warm atmosphere. The Almomdy made our time in Newport really great.

Fantastic trip. The breakfast was great and Evelyne was a great hostess. The Inn was very clean and in a great location, close to the port and all the shops & restaurants. We had a wonderful time in the beautiful city of Newport. I would highly recommend this B&B to my friends and family members and will stay there again when I go back.

The B&B was like a small boutique hotel with lovely ammenities - bathrobes, hairdryer, good soaps, shampoo, etc. the room and bathroom were beautifully appointed. We had a really great time and the owners of the hotel are excellent. The only issue (small) was that the shower lost hot water briefly. Ah well. Breakfast was awesome.

Centrally located, the Almondy Inn was a comfortable experience with in a newly modernized B&B filled with antiques. Our Burgundy Suite had a small but modernized bathroom plus living room and marvelous bedroom with a King sized bed. Our hostess, Evelyn was attentive and gracious.

My Wife and I needed a weekend away. This was the perfect place and great location. Could not ask for better host and breakfast was awesome. Walking distance to harbor , town and shops and only short ride to many attractions.

I am very pleased with my experience at Almondy Inn. The inn is conveniently located within walking distance of Newport's main shopping and restaurants and also provides ample private parking space. The inn-keeper went out of her way to make us feel at home. Her chorizo omlette for breakfast was superb.

I dont normally review hotels or B&B's even though I stay away a lot, however, the Almondy Inn is so special I felt I had to make an exception. In summary the B&B is in a fantastic location, there is a little noise from nearby bars but that the price for staying centrally, the hostess, Evelyn was so helpful, nothing was to much trouble, the room was […] excellent if a little on the small side, the breakfasts served individually and prepared by Evelyn were delicious and her knowledge of the area was excellent with great recommendations for eating out and other activities. Everything was great except for loud band on Friday night. Not sure where in neighborhood it came from but could hear in my room. We were tired enough that we fell asleep after half hour but just a heads up for those that can't handle noise. Owners very helpful.

The Almondy was a perfect choice for us. 1 Block from the wharf area of shopping, restaurants of many types, and the coast for a drink on the water or for chartering a sailboat ride. The inn was charming and exceptionally clean - Ms. Evelyn's breakfast was superb. If we get to Newport again, we'll be returning for sure!

We stayed for a long weekend at the Almondy Inn during the Newport Jazz Festival. The location was perfect, just across the street from the water taxis for the festival. We stayed in the smallest room which was adequate. However this room had a spectacular view of Newport Harbor.
