Hotelli oli hyvällä paikalla Waikiki turisti alueella, 4min kävelymatka rannalle ja lyhyt kävelymatka isoon Ala Moana ostoskeskukseen. Hyvät kulkuyhteydet julkisilla kulkuyhteyksillä. Hotellin välittömässä läheisyydessä oli paljon pieniä kauppoja ja ravintoloita. Hotellissa oli erittäin hyvä ja palveleva henkilökunta, huoneiden siivous oli erittäin hyvää. Huoneissa ei ollut WLAN-yhteyttä mutta siellä oli tarjolla kiinteä netti-yhteys, mutta vastaanotossa oli ilmainen WLAN yhteys käytettävissä. Hotellista on kylpyläosuus poistunut joulukuussa 2011. Kaikinpuolin hyvä hotelli ja vastine rahoille.

Hyvä hinta-laatu suhde.Erityisen kätevää maksuton internet-yhteys huoneessa, kahvinkeittomahdollisuus ja jääkaappi huoneessa. Hieno puisto lähellä. Hyvä uimaranta (ei ns. turistiranta) lähellä.

Kerrassaan mahtava hotelli ja ympäristö! Hotellin Luau-show oli hieno kokemus ja ruoka oli hyvää. Mukavat uima-altaat varsinkin paradise-pool liukumäkineen todella ihana allas lapsille! Ranta muutaman askeleen päässä. Miinusta tulee ainostaan Rainbowtowerin hissijärjestelmästä jossa olisi hiukan parantamisen varaa.

Hotellin sijainti hyvä, jos pitää rauhallisemmasta ympäristöstä. Huone tilava, kalustus kulunut, mutta siistissä kunnossa. Aamiainen syödään seisaaltaan pienessä tilassa. Iso ostoskeskus Ala Moana shopping center 400 m (löytyy kaikkea pikkuliikkeistä, design putiikkeihin ja tavarataloihin kuten Macy's ja Sears), Waikiki beach 400 m (ranta kivikkoinen, hyvä olla uimakengät jalassa), Waikiki keskusta n. 700 m. Hotelli oli hyvä hinta-laatusuhteeltaan.

"Edullinen, ok hotelli"
Vietimme hotellissa kolme yötä ja sinä aikana saimme hyvää palvelua ja vastaukset kaikkiin kysymyksiimme. Huoneet olivat ihan ok, kylpyhuone oli hieman kulahtanut, mutta kaikki oli kuitenkin puhdasta ja siistiä sekä toimivaa. Hinta-laatu -suhde on kohdallaan tässä hotellissa ja se on ihan normaali ulkolainen kolmen tähden arvoinen hotelli. Uima-allas […] alue oli ainakin noina päivinä erittäin tuulinen ja kylmä, vaikka muualla oli lämmintä, joten sen voinee mainita ainoaksi todelliseksi miinukseksi, jos ajattelee altaalla oleskella. location is very convenient - very close to International Market - Food Court for easy and quick meal. Close to the beach and endless shopping centre, Trolley stops infront of the hotel... The only downside of the hotel are the elevators which are very slow.... I'll go here again!

the hotel is old and its need an ugrade bad but the room was clean the shower was real small but the water flow was great the front dest staff was ok they kept overlooking me for check in until i went in front of a person and said im checking in too the tour desk was ok they dont tell you that their is a free shopping shettle we paid 20.00 to go outlet […] shopping but got a refund chillies in on the lower floor that was great and the food was good the pool side bar was ok and the pool water was really cold but all in all i would stay again if i just want and bed and a bathroom Lisätietoja

The Ohana Waikiki West was a great place for me and my children. All 6 of us were close with a room that could have all of us. Two rooms connected and a kitchenette. Awesome.

"this hotel is in the thick of it all"
right out side the door is the pink line that when you show your room key its free to ride to all the shopping area their is a food pantery across the stree and a chillies in side of the hotel and across the stree most of the tour bus/vans pick you up. the beach is two blocks up really nice walk lots of ABC stores the only thing i did not like the shower […] in the room was real small but everything else was ok Lisätietoja
"Ohana West - you get what you pay for"
after three nights at a luxury hotel on Kalakaua, we moved to the ohana west because it fit better with our budget. it was much less expensive but the rooms were small and shabby and looked like they were last updated in the 60's. it was our karma to have a view of the building next door. parking was difficult. there were too few electrical outlets […] for all of our modern devices, internet was wired, albeit, free. waited almost an hour (after several calls) for pillows. that said, the staff were pleasant and the location was excellent if you don't need to be across the street from the beach and have a view of the ocean. i actually enjoyed the break from the luxury brand stores only a few blocks away. the vibe at the hotel was friendly and much less pretentious than the luxury hotel only 2 blocks away. We spent 2 weeks at the Ohana West Hotel in Waikiki. The hotel was clean and affordable and in a very good location in central Waikiki close to all amenities. The hotel has lots to offer and staff were very helpful to make our stay comfortable. In the Lobby is a Tour Booking Desk with staff that can answer all your questions and book any of the tours […] that you are interested booking. A shuttle pick up and drop off at the side of the hotel also makes this a great place to stay when visiting Waikiki. The hotel is a bit dated, but is clean, comfortable and affordable. The hotel while a little worn offers convenience, friendliness and location at a very reasonable price. Free calls to Canada and mainland U.S. as well as free transportation to the largest outdoor malls in the world makes it a very appealing location. Loved that you can ride public transportation free with your room key card. Very kind hotel when hotels.com screwed up my reservation. They could not have been kinder to us and upgraded our room. Good location and cheaper price plus NO bedbugs recommend this place. Also, the staff at the front desk really make a positive difference in this otherwise non descript older hotel I will stay there again. The staff at this place are brilliant,anything you want is no problem.The housekeeping staff would give you all you wanted like cutlery more coffee etc.Location is great,rooms are maybe a tad on the small side.My only complaint is the security staff,they are obviously frustrated jail wardens who LOVE stomping up and down the corridors at midnight wjth […] the walkie talkie blaring and slamming doors behind them,oh and the elevators are very slow,(its 240 steps from lobby to floor 17,who needs the fitness centre) All in all very good Lisätietoja

I would recommend this hotel, far enought from the beach, but still next to the great shopping centers, and the free shuttle to many of the great places on the beach. very large room with a kitchen, and incudes plates and cooking items, a great way to save some money on food.

Wish I would have spent a bit more on a newer hotel closer to the ocean. Definitely walking distance to everything you need, but was disappointed in the accommodations.

Overall we were quite happy with our stay at this hotel considering the price that you pay. Location is very convenient, the staff are very helpful, the hotel could do with a make over, but it was clean and at the end of the day you just need a clean bed to sleep in as we were out all day and night. The kitchenette was useful as we were having breakfast […] in and then heading off for the day. I was concerned after reading some of the review here about the lifts being slow, but I was pleasantly surprised, I dont really know what people were complaining about. There is a supermarket (food pantry) on the corner as well as a the coffee bean and starbucks on the other corner. A short walk up to the international markets which led us through to the main strip and to the beach. I didnt like walking in our street at night though as it felt a bit rough compared to the main strip where all the action is. "Kind of gross, location ok."
We only had to stay here for about 12 hours during a layover awaiting a trip to the big island. The lobby was nice and the pool area seemed to be fine. The room that we had was really old and the bathroom was especially bad. The shower had obviously not been touched in the last 30 years. If you are only staying for the night, this hotel would be fine. […] The room was a nice size and this place is only about three blocks from the beach. "convenient and clean"
Comfortable hotel which is convenient to shops, beach and transport. Great for families if you get adjoining rooms which are very spacious.
It was wierd to find other peoples clothes still in the closet when we checked in. Possibly a house cleaning issue. Noise around the room was excessive at times.

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel & will continue to stay here. Very helpful & cheerful staff at check-in & at their tour desk, located within a very easy walk to the beach & restaurants & the area is not too noisy. Lifts are slow on occasion but that's to be expected when the hotel if full.

"Classic hotel of the 1960's/70's"
Good location, good staff. Showing a little wear. A classic (on the interior ) of the late 1960's early 70's which they should restore it to if the owners are smart. Very little in Waikiki dates from the 1940', 50's or 60's. I can life with wear when it is real.
