Econo Lodge Kent - Kent

The front desk attendant was ready with my registration info in hand when I arrived--very impressive! The bed was a bit firm, but the room was clean., comfortable and affordable.

The only complaint I had was on the initial entrance of my room, the bathroom had urine in the camode. So I had to think the cleaners didn't clean the bathroom. Fist time ever experiencing that & a bed spread had either food or blood remnants on the underside of it.

The place was clean, nice, and convenient. The only, minor, complaint, was the cigarette smoke smell. However, I think the room below smoked, but it wasn't bad, at all.

They need more towels n a room even if only one person is staying. Table in room a little wobbly but otherwise it was great stay! I recomend it. I hope to go back again sometime.Staff very nice. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Sure, it is ten dollars cheaper a night then the other hotels across the street but there were multiple hairs (some more disgusting than others) in my bed, the bathroom was filthy, half of my lights were burnt out, and the refrigerator didn't work.

This hotel was great. room was huge, and very clean. i stayed there because i was going to a concert near this hotel and i am returning to the same venue for another show in 2 weeks. i booked this hotel for the 2nd trip as soon as i got home from the 1st. Highly recommend!!

The employees are very friendly and helpful. But the room was not a pleasant experience. Carpet torn, beds hard, and tiny rooms. When you flush the toilet we had to hold the handle down for a long time. The sink would not drain so I tried to pull up on the metal piece on the sink to let he water out and it was not attached. I ordered a non-smoking room, but when I arrived, it smelled like someone was in the room smoking. The attendant mentioned that it was always a non-smoking room. Since it was a non-smoking room, I did not take him up on his offer. However, because the smell was so strong, not just smoke worked into the room, it made me question the actual cleanliness […] of the facility itself. The price was very reasonable. This hotel makes it as a motel lister. I've stayed at many Econo-Lodges before and this has to be the worst. Where to begin...the shower curtain pole was broken and bowed downwards so it wouldn't stay shut, the sink was a mess. While the room was clean - it was in need of a lot of work - half the lights/electric outlets were not working. Peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. The arm chair had seen better day - springs gone - sank into it. The air/heat register needed vaccuming - lots of dirt and particles.

DO NOT EVER STAY HERE. IT WAS THE MOST DISGUSTING PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN IN MY LIFE!!! This hotel is a great value for the money. The bathroom's are small, but everything else was great, and the staff were friendly too.

not a bad place for the money, the only downfall for me was the bathroom was small and could use some updating. parking was tight not a very big parking lot.

Farther from the concert venue then the website, but overall better then I thought it was gonna be for such a cheap room. no frills, but clean.

I was underwhelmed by the outside appearance and consequently concerned about what the rooms might be like. The lobby was small but neat and tidy. The clerk was knowledgeable and helpful recommending fireworks in neighboring town and searching directions for us. The room was small but our rate was very reasonable so it matched the room. Hotel was nicer inside the room than I expected. Free breakfast was muffins/danishes, fruit, juice, and waffles.

The hotel is very easy to get to, but is in desperate need of paint and TLC. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean, but the paint in the bathroom was peeling off, wallpaper was falling off the walls in the stairwell and the hallways were musty. Convenient location and okay for a quick night stay, courteous staff however the hotel has a lot of live-ins/weekly rate folks there. Which is frankly uncomfortable. The Air Conditioners are NIL and the bathrooms are grossly outdated, fixtures, etc. Due to my schedule it was good for a shower and quick nap while on the road, passing thru for business. […] Would I take my family there?? You get what your pay for. Sorry I stayed there. This was the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed at.

Very convenient hotel for the price, was pleasantly surprised by the pool and free breakfast including fresh fruit and make your own belgian waffles!

I do not smoke and the smell makes my allergies go crazy. The other smells were also overpowering and I did not get much sleep from all the freeway noise since I had to open my window to get fresh air because the air conditioner had a very musty smell to it.

We were looking for a clean, no frills room because we were in Canton for a pool tournament the weekend of our stay. We got what we were looking for. Just a basic room that was clean and quiet. It was nice that the room had a microwave and refrigerator in it and even a hair dryer (as I forgot mine). Only let down was it advertised a hot tub and pool […] area. Very satisfactory stay for three days. Enjoyed our visit to Kent at Econo Lodge..very nice owners.

When seeing the condition of the outside door to our room I thought "Oh no, will get what you paid for" however when I opened the door I was surprised at the condition of the room. The carpet & tiled bathroom floor looked new and it even had a micro & frig. Bed was comfortable but linens and towels though clean were a little worn. Would definitely stay […] again. There were beer and pop cans in the stairwells. There was food and trash in the elevators. The shower and tub were not clean.

I need to stay at a hotel at this location fairly often. This hotel was a disappointment. The king-size mattress was hard and not very comfortable after a long drive. The pillows were flat and not very plentiful in numbers. The towels in the bathroom were thin and not very absorbant. There were just two of the bath size and they were quite small for […] bath towels. Pros: Continental Breakfast had Waffles in place of Cereal together with muffins and danish. indoor Swimming Pool. Hotel amenities were excellent for the price. Staff very helpful in providing directions. Access to the internet was very easy and the connection was fast. Convenient to Kent State University. Free continental breakfast could use some attention. The fruit was old and shriveled and the breakfast rolls were covered with mold. Had to throw them in the trash. The room was nice for the money.

The toilet rocked back and forth, and the tank had a big crack in the tank lid. The paint in the bathroom was peeling from the roof. The sheet had a hole in it. The hotel ran out of hot water or there is a problem with the hot water in the room we were in. The water temp was well below 100 deg.. The wall were thin and we could hear activity in the room […] next door at 5 am. If you are looking for an economical place to stay this hotel will do, but I can not recommend it for someone that is looking for a more extravagant hotel experience. Lisätietoja

Watch your credit account statements for additional billing from this hotel. i was charged from hotel.com then charged an additional three times from the hotel itself. i have had to call four days in a row to have the charges credited back to my account. the hotel is nice enough they just continually charge for the same room and youhave already paid […] thru hotel.com.
