Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku - Tokio

Sunroute Plaza located in the heart of Shinjuku. It has been always my first choice when visit Takyo. It is not a five star hotel, but you get more then what you pay for.

Very handy to Shinjuku Station, and thus to public transportation anywhere, and an Airport Limousine bus makes a stop right at the hotel. Lots of restaurants and shopping places nearby. The "economy double" is really meant as a single room (the hotel's website indicates that the standard doubles are much larger in area), but we found it adequate basic […] accommodation, if somewhat cramped for a week's stay. Our room was very quiet--no outside noise. Internet is by cable, and a bit slow; there is tea provided, but no coffee. Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku has a superb location in Shinjuku. It is near the Shinjuku JR station, linkbridge to Takashimaya which could be a pitstop (especially in the cold winter) to the other side of shopping areas in Shinjuku i.e. Topshop, Forever 21, Isetan, Lumine etc... We are also a stone throw away from the dining & pachinko cluster where we spend […] 3 dinners there! Variety of food is good! Room is clean and tidy as expected of a Japanese hotel but the size is a surprise! We actually do not feel cramp or stuff up in the room, not bad considering the usual mindset of a small compact room in a typical Tokyo hotel. Good choice if you intend to stay in Shinjuku. The hotel location is so centrally located it is the ideal base for a stay in Tokyo. Great walking distance to both the JR Shinjuku western exit, the JR Yoyogi station and the metro - whichever you need. Had a strange smell in the bathroom on our 1st night but was gone by the morning. Apart from that, no major issues with the room. Free wifi only available from the lobby, hadn't brought along a laptop so in-room lan connection was of no use. Very nice hotel and stay. Lovely lobby and helpful receptionists.

It is very closed to Shinjuku JR station, takes not more than 3 minutes walk. The room is very small and no enough space for your luggage to be fully opened. Certainly, it is the same issue in Japan's hotel. Staff is very nice, and provides free wi-fi password for our access at lounge. For the price and location its my favorite in Shinjuku. Others I've stayed in Shinjuku include Keio Plaza, Washington Hotel, Prince Hotel, and Sunroute Plaza is the best location and each individual room has its own climate controll which is not available in a lot of hotels in Japan. Its 1 minute from the Toei Oedo line; 5 minutes from rest of Shinjuku […] station South entrance; next door to a 24 hour ATM that accepts foreign debits; and just acros the street from the Souther Terrace (get the melon soft cream at the Hokkaido specialty store). Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku is located in the most convenient and safe position in this busy area of Tokyo. Convenience stores, restaurants and transport are all very close and the surrounds are very safe and relaxing. We have stayed here many times and will stay here again.

I've been to Tokyo for many times and it's my very first time staying in a hotel that is so close to the JR Shinjuku station. I got a great rate from Hotels.com and the stay is enjoyable.

Make sure you take the SOUTH exit at Shinjuku station to get to this hotel easiest. Very nice hotel, good sized room. Free internet room - very comfortable. Great location.

Perfect location for travelling around Tokyo - both JR and subway are very easy to access from the hotel. Small rooms as to be expected in Tokyo but great value and comfortable. We will stay here again on our next trip.

Nice location and very convenient. However, the room is small in size. Can't move much in the room. They also have a strict check in and check out time, which is a pity. But overall is good.

The room fits the two of us perfectly OK although the space was really tight. It had all the amenities we like--fridge, water boiler, slippers, ropes. Also a fine location and is a standard stop for the airport shuttle. Would stay again.

It is a hotel with very accessible train services like odeo line and the main line to go most places like shibuyu, tokyo station. Nearby is takashimaya , isetan and multi 24 hours stores. Clean and biggest room rather than other hotel in Japan.the price is reasonable.but the location is quiet far away form the department store.but overall it is the best hotel for me to stay in the next time.

This is an excellent hotel. With the relatively affordable rates, excellent location, great service and nice ambience, this is a must stay for anyone planning on a trip to Tokyo.

It's a convenient business hotel adjacent to the Shinjuku train/subway stations. Highly recommended just for location alone. It's not overly luxurious/spacious given the price you pay, but it's clean and decent. Did the job for me.

2 minute walk from Shinjuku station and from there a short train trip to most places in the city, this hotel is in a great location for seeing everything. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and made every effort to suggest sightseeing spots, give directions and help out with any queries fast and efficient!

Have been staying at the hotel before and have been pleased everytime. Very convenient location, good value for the money, and friendly personel. They fixed a baby cot for our room on inquiry. Recommended.

Hotel is conveniently located at the South Exit of Shinjuku Station. Suitable for travellers holding JR Pass or planning to travel by bus to other parts of Japan. I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last few years, and once again, I was not let down. Room was clean and tidy, everything functioned well, and staff were very friendly. Near the JR station and is very easy to go!

Located right in the middle of great dining and shopping, and next to a metro station make this the perfect location. Small rooms but clean and tidy. Breakfast buffet was a bit dissapointing.

Hotel Sunroute Plaza in Shinjuku is very conveniently located, close to subway and JR stations. Service is very good. The only reservation about it is the size of room, although this is not unexpected in Tokyo.

I really liked this hotel for it's great location in Shinjuku. Very close to the subway and very close to a whole host of other bars/shops etc. I rated Shibuya as slightly better for location but this was almost as good and was significantly cheaper. :)

I stayed one night in a "bright single" room. It was small (standard for Japanese hotels) but the bed was fairly large for single room (small double?) and comfortable. The room was very clean and felt bigger than it was because of the decor. It has a glass window and door on the bathroom, no curtain/blind (so i wouldn't really recommend sharing this […] room!) which makes the room seem larger versus similar size in other rooms. There wasn't much storage space (typical for this type of Japanese hotel room). It's a short walk (~2 or 3 blocks from the airport bus stop in Shinjuku), there's an airport "limousine" bus that goes direct to/from the hotel but it's only every hour or so. Hotel will also store bags free of charge after check-out if you've got a late departure time. Internet is free (wired) but there's a charge for local calls. Hotel overall is very clean and well set up, easy enough to find. Staff are friendly, and the ones I talked to spoke reasonable English. Shops and restaurants nearby, bit of a walk to shopping areas of Shinjuku but could be worse. If I'd paid the full rack rate for the room I probably wouldn't think it was such great value, but I got a good deal from hotels.com - I've stayed in a lot worse for a lot more money. Lisätietoja

We booked a double room for two people. But it is a bit too small for two. If you have a suitcase, there is not much room to move around. Also, there is only one chair for the desk. The room also looks a bit tired. It needs some freshening.
