Nice, reasonably priced convinient hotel. Two blocks from the subway which last stop was 42nd street, safe neighborhood,will recimmend.

Hotel was fine, very small room, king size bed literally filled the room. The mini-fridge was a great bonus though. Only a block away from the 7 train. If you are a light sleeper try to get a room on the back side of the hotel. Also,it was great that the hotel has a computer and printer in the lounge for public use.

Hotel is walking distance to line 7, easy access into Manhattan. Not the cleanest or nicest 'hood. Rooms are super duper tight. Bathrooms could be way cleaner. Strange hairs in abundance. The manager, Rahul, is quite rude, basically threw a paper at me I needed to fill out without explaining the purpose of the form. The expression 'thank you' is not […] part of his vocabulary. He didnt explain to me how to get to my room or the check out time. If you get a room near the tracks asked to be moved ASAP. They will tell you the room is sound proof and that they are booked. This hotel gave us what we wanted- a comfortable bed, close walk to the subway line (except for the interrupted service on a weekend night due to MTA maintenance that caused us to get off a different, further station), and continental breakfast. Though this hotel is older, it is clean and well-maintained and the staff was very accomodating. Being close to the train station, it was a little noisy. it is 10 minute subway ride to the city from a station two blocks away. the neighbourhood itself is rather industrial and desolate so you will no find many services like restaurants open at night or weekend. but either a short trip to Manhattan or a short 15 block walk up to the next neighbourhood.

The room was shoe box size. The king-size bed was pretty much all that fit in our room! The furnishing were visually appealing, and the bed was SUPER COMFY!! The price was AWESOME, Especially considering the location!! Pros: Right off a couple of metro lines, good clean room, good breakfast. Cons: Tiny Rooms and staff that does not really seem to care.

I enjoyed myself. I felt comfortable. All i needed was very accessible and I look forward to having another stay.

I highly recommend this hotel. The room was very clean, and warm. However, the showerhead and coffee machine did not work. But they have free coffee/tea in the breakfast area 24 hrs. I thought the room might be noisy being so close to the road, but it wasn't noisy at all. The area is safe and 5 minute walk from the 7 train.

The hotel was as advertised and a decent standard for that price. The breakfast was OK - bagels, etc. However, the reception staff were clueless and unable to assist with most of our questions about local amenities. Although we begged that we are non-smokers, there was no customer services / sympathy at all. Good location and close the LAG airport

Got to NYC in the heart of the snow storm, although the hotel was experiencing some troubles, water on floor from blowing snow, messed up front door and blizzard in the parking lot but the staff worked around the problems and the rooms were clean and service was friendly

It was a pleasant experience, everyone was very polite and helpful...room was clean, breakfast was good and there was plenty of food.

The place is a little noisy because the train tracks are very close to the hotel. Also the hotel walls are wafer thin we could hear our neighbors....people walking outside the hotel room etc. Also the room was extremely compact but its proximity & access outweighs everything else.

The hotel was in all ways adequate rooms are on the smaller size , but i think that was down to the huge bed in them which was very comfortable. There was a problem with our air conditioning which suprisingly as we were there in October was needed! The safe were prompt and efficent in fixing it. The hotel wasn't anything spectacular, but it served the purpose we were looking for, which was close to the train with parking at the hotel. Our room was C1xx. If you stay here and are given a room whose number starts with a C, ask to change. All C rooms are on the basement floor with all the housekeeping carts in the hallway (even at 5 PM). The smell from the room freshner was way too strong. We were first in C102 made smaller to accommodate the elevator. We asked to change from being on […] the C floor but were told since we were staying only Friday night, they could not sell the room for Saturday if they moved us so we had to stay on the C floor. They moved us to C110. But, we were awaked when late arrivals had multiple rooms on the C floor. Then the next morning when the housekeepers arrived, there was constant talking in the halls even after we asked them to be quiet. There is no way you can soundproof the door from the inside. Breakfast was fine; very crowded in a small space. Ample choice of food and quantity was not limited so if you came at 9:25 (right before breakfast ends at 9:30), you still had plenty of food from which to choose. Bed and shower were fine, albeit the basements rooms are really tiny to maneuver between the beds and furniture. Don't know if upper floors are as tight. As we were walking to the buliding, we noticed the blinds in the upper floors hung in disarray, many broken. The Days Inn in Long Island City is conveniently located on the Line 7 which brings directly downtown NYC. The closeness to the subway track is convenient but may disturb by night even if wall have good sound soundproofing. Stayed here for 3 nights and for the price I paid was certainly not expecting much but I was still shocked at how bad this hotel was. The room was TINY, with space only for a bed and a desk/tv in front. The hotel staff was easily the worst part of my trip. Absolutely indifferent to whatever problems you may have and treat their guests with no respect […] whatsoever. They rely mostly on young people to book their rooms seeing as their min. required age is 18, and they know that they're the only hotel in the city to do so, so expect to be treated awfully. -The "fitness room" is 2 chairs and a treadmill. -The doors offer no sound insulation at all. You WILL hear what people in the hallway and even your neighbors are talking about. -The above-ground subway outside the window is ridiculously loud and the windows will not block the sound fully. The room was fine and it was really close to the subway. Biggest complaint would have to be horrible internet speeds. Even after calling customer service my download speed topped out at 500 kb/s. My upload speed was about the same which mean it's most likely a sys admin imposed limit. Don't try an get any work done or watch streaming content such as […] netflix. It'll just make you angry. I found a used condom and vibrator in the bed and we were not moved to another room or discounted. The hotel manager kept getting into loud arguments with various other members of the hotel staff. Do not stay at this hotel.

Really I was very dissapointed when I get to the hotel and they assigned to me a Smoking room, they said that the reservation arrived to them from hotels.com in that way, really in the reservation was a little bit ambiguous, but some of my friends made the reservation directly at the hotel page but had exactly the same problem and another family we […] met in the reception. They didn't fix anything to solve this situation to us. At the other hand the cleaning is poor there were cigarretes, papers, etc in the floor of the common areas, the staff in the hotle are not kind and not sensible with customers needs. This was a good hotel for budget minded travellers to New York City. While it is outside of Manhattan, the #7 subway stop is about one block away, definitely within easy walking distance. I oredred a non-smoking room. Our room was in basement with no window. I was given a room that smelled low-class chemical perfume . I asked for a different room but they did not have one for me. Small and dirty room. front desk guy was not helpful. The worst hotel I have ever been.

The hotel smell to cigarret. The air condition of the first run did not work. The run is noise due to the Metro. I could not cancel the reversation because the penalty is 100% of the stay in place of one night. The employes don´t speak english. There are continous discusion betwwen manager and employes.

This is my second time staying at the Days Inn in Long Island City, NY. I chose it because my friend works close by and the Subway Train #7 gets you to Manhattan in as quickly as 5 minutes. There are a few restaurants about a mile away on Queens Blvd, but they are mediocre. The hotel rooms are small and are extremely tight. Close to many different subway lines, this is a great place to launch sightseeing. We were lucky to be on the side of the hotel that is not right next to the screeching turn of the elevated subway. Also, the breakfast is bad for diabetics, it's basically all doughnuts or cereal, but there is a great cheap diner just up the street. Stains on sheets. Housekeepers talking loudly in the hallway woke us up early every morning. Our room was in the basement under the excuse that the hotel was overbooked because of flight delays. Find a different place to stay.

I really don't have anything to say, that other reviews didn't cover. The train station being close by, was a double edged sword. Yes it was a little loud with the train but closing your window did help, and you could request a room on the side of the hotel furthest from the tracks. This hotel is clean comfortable. It's main feature is to be located right on a subway line and have free parking. I just parked my car there and enjoy New York city without having to spend incredible amount of money on parking and gas as well as losing time in traffic jam. The hotel seems new and in decent condition. It is close to the subway station but also to the railroad tracks and in a busy intersection so you can hear a lot of outside traffic noise. Other than the subway, the hotel is not really accessible to much but it's worth it if price is a concern.

My friend had recommended the area because the hotel was only a block away from the 7 train, but the 7 was down the weekend we were there. Definately not fancy, fitness room was pretty non existence. Close to the subway.

I had big doubts about staying there - but decided to go ahead and I am glad I did. Meets the 3-C's Clean, Close and Cheap! Surprisingly, the noise is just outside - inside it's very quiet. The street is indeed very busy and noisy, but its really great access to subway stations and there is FREE parking!

It is easy to get to the subway line7 and take about 20 mins to the timesquare. it is like an indian or mexican hotel. if you like on the subway side, it is a bit noisy when the train passes.

It is clean and good. Most interesting thing is about its location. It made our life easy to go to manhattan city by taking only one subway which is just 2 blocks away.

We had a room in the basement. It was clean and nice and we had enough space for 2 people. We were on the traffic averdet side and so it was easy for us to sleep. The hotel is within a 5 min walk to the subway which brings you to directly to Manhattan. We also went by subway from JFK on the day of arrival.
