Our stay here was absolutely disappointing. The room had no hot water and was not clean. The manager was apologetic and gave us another room at the lodge across the street and this room was worse. We were expecting the worst based on the previous reviews. We were basically prepared for camping with a roof. So we were pleasantly surprised by the actual experience. We stayed in a Nest unit (the Strawberry Inn is actually being renovated right now. So there are no rooms there). The room was pretty clean and recently remodeled. The only foreign hairs […] were of animal origin - because this hotel does allows pets and getting rid of animal hair is next to impossible. The room was freezing when we arrived, but the window unit did an okay job heating up the place and the hotel happily provided an addtl space heater at our request. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The maid service was not much of a service. They arrived around 6pm on our second night --took out the trash and left some towels. The most disturbing part about the visit was the lack of mattress pads on the beds. Discovered on the second day. Yuck. The best parts were the price, the decent size room, and the nice people/staff and Seven Suns coffee down the street where there are amazing breakfast burritos (we did not partake in the "free continental breakfast" at the lodge). First let me say that I stayed at the Strawberry Valley Inn years ago (obviously under a different owner). It was old but clean and the breakfast cooked by the owner was fabulous. Now to my current trip. When I booked the room there was a double queen and a Nest double queen available. I couldn't tell the difference between the two so I called and asked […] what the difference was. I was told there was no difference and booked the Nest room. No one mentioned that the "nest" room is located offsite a block and a half away around the corner. The room had a coffee maker but no cups of any kind. No water glasses either. The "desk" area was so dirty I had to clean it before we could put anything on it. The shower only and there is nowhere to put your soap and shampoo other than the floor of the shower or the back of the toilet. There was 1 hand towel and no washcloths. There is a dangerous step down into the bedroom area. We had to keep the livingroom light on all night so as not to trip on the step up on the way to the bathroom at night. The breakfast was worse than any chain motel I have ever stayed at. Just prepackaged waffles, bagels, muffins and cold cereal. It looked so unappetizing we didn't even eat it. We stayed here during a Retreat we enjoyed with a group of friends. We needed a room really for sleeping and were out on Mt Shasta and the surrounding lakes most of the days we were there. The room was refreshingly clean. The lady in the front office was just cool. The feeling at the hotel was safe and cozy. The blinds didn't work. The door was hard to lock and there was a gap around it where you could see light on three sides. Only one wash clothe in the room for two people. A tiny amount of toilet tissue on the roll and no extra roll. I would not recommened this motel to anyone. And I won't stay there again. Check in time is 3:00 PM. At 3:30 the room was still not ready. The housekeepers arrived about 3:35 and we talked to them and tiped them to clean our room first. They did not provide plastic drinking cups or any glasses, shorted us on wash cloths, did not provide hand soap for the sink, the coffee pot had not been cleaned and an old used grind pouch […] was still in the pot. The hotel appeared to be a family run business. The room was decorated with cute wallpaper. The bed was comfortable. The TV had only a few channels and some of them had poor reception. I stayed at this little place years ago and really enjoyed the well-kept grounds and decorated rooms. However, it appears they changed owners and the experience was not as good as before. The brochure said there was complementary wine in the afternoon; but, the front desk person said they never have done it. It was fine for one night. The room was clean and well decorated. But it was very small, so small there was no space for the sink in the bathroom, so it was in the room. The bed was old and creaky, but comfortable enough.

We thought the hotel was over priced for what it was. It was generally not clean and the hot water took a long time to get even lukewarm. There is a "sister" hotel across the street and the hotel recommended the restaurant there. It was not very good at all and the service was very poor. We would not stay there again.

The motel needs to invest in new towels, as the towels we used had stains and were threadbare. The motel did not clean the room during our two-night stay - we did not return to the room until the evening of the second night, so had no chance to contact housekeeping. Very friendly staff - very accommodating and helpful. Our "cozy queen" was very comfortable - and within walking distance to a couple delicious restaurants. We would come back!

Very friendly staff and cute room. The room needed an additional heater that the staff provided. Breakfast was nice with many choices. The garden area has a nice view of Mt. Shasta.

when we arrived .... the office was closed @3pm we called the # & they came over with the wrong key to the office as we stood out in the cold she ran across the street to get the right key, we checked in went to our room & it was freezing.. the heaters didn't work so we moved to the next room which was smaller but the heater worked, the room was not […] as clean as I am used to. Room was very small and the bathroom floor still had hair from the last guests on the floor. The room never was swept the entire time I stayed. The bed was made three times in the five days I stayed, and the trash never emptied.

This was by far one of the biggest disappointments on our trip to Mt Shasta. I booked it based on the high ratings on hotels.com, and boy do I regret it. Let me just get on with my list of complaints.... When we arrived, there was no one at the front-desk, as they were in their sister property across the street. The room was too old, and the view from […] the window was dried bushes and a wall! The bed frame was like one seen in hospitals and had very sharp edges, which could have caused a serious foot injury. The towels felt like sand-paper. They market the place as a boutique hotel but the furniture is cheap and old. Turning on the heater makes the room smell all musty. The bed did not have proper sheets (I suspect they were shorter than the bed size), that in the morning, I noticed I was sleeping on the bare mattress (This has never happened to me in any hotel so far). To top it off, breakfast was just terrible... frozen waffles, some bread, cheap jelly. The person at the front desk mentioned that they didn't have any milk since they were waiting for the mom & pop store down the street to open. We waited for nearly 40 mins and didn't get the milk. Later on we found out that they actually own a grocery store about half a mile away! Overall, this was definitely not worth the money. The price should drop at least over 50% for it to make any sense to even go there. Lisätietoja

Staff nice, attentive but unavailable, unable to do jobs satisfactorily. Room cold, heater inadequate, thin towels, no nightstand on one side, nowhere to put things down, etc., etc. Would not recommend at present. Formerly a nice place.

Dinner at the sister hotel was recommended. I decided to give it try. I ordered a Cesar salad with chicken and buffalo shrimp (6). It took over an hour to get the shrimp after they tried to give me wings first and I never got the salad. We were enroute from Portland to SanFrancisco. Being November our room was initially quite cold but warmed up soon. Temperature control in the room a bit of a problem. Overall a nice stay; perhaps $10-15 overpriced.

クライアントの滞在用に予約しました。トイレットペーパーの補充がなかったり、いろいろ不満を聞きました。フロントデスクに人がいることがほとんどなくて、宿泊客ではない人が朝食を食べに来たりしたと聞きました。私が訪問して、フロアのトイレを借りたときに、床がべたべたして、ひどい状態で、もっときれいにすれば映える装飾品がかわいそうな感じでした。次回からはもう使わないと思います。

Hotel vétuste , fait seulement pour une nuit de transit. Personne à la réception , le téléphone dans la chambre ne fonctionne pas et surtout personne n'est capable de l'expliquer. マウントシャスタ観光の際に利用しました。場所は観光に便利な場所にあり、とても良かったのですが・・・、着いてチェックインをしようと思ったらダブルブッキングだと言われました。その日は５組くらいダブルブッキングで、先週もダブルブッキングがあったという話でした。さんざん待たされ、同じ系列ホテルにまわされましたがそのホテルも泊り心地はあまりよくなかったです・・・。もう二度と泊りたくないです。

外観はとてもかわいらしいホテルですが。。。 初日にシャワーの排水溝が髪の毛で詰まっていました。これではシャワーできないと訴えると、そんなはずはない、翌日の掃除の後でも気に入らないなら部屋を変えるとのんびりとした回答。翌日、薬を流し込んでなんとか開通。でも毛玉は絡んだまま。その後パイプが水漏れを起こし浴室が水浸しに。トラブルが重なったので部屋を変えてもらいました。その後は快適でした。 通りの向かいにある方がメインのためか、常駐するスタッフはいないので、何かあってもなかなか連絡がつかないのが不便でした。

Coincidimos con otros huéspedes que habían estado en el hotel hace años y todos coincidimos en que se notaba qhabían descuidado el mantenimiento. La calefacción funcionaba mal.
