Casa Conde was a nice place to stay - the breatfast staff was VERY friendly, the pool was GREAT, the rooms were large and the bed was comfy. We thought we booked a beachfront hotel; and they will tell you you did and to their defense; in Costa Rica it was beachfront in their sense. I don't beleive you can build that close to the beach, so from our room […] we could see the beach from a distance, but by no means were we right on the beach. We did get used to that and had many morning walks on the quiet beach. There were monkeys and iguans most days and the grounds were kept very nice. The locaion to "action" was about 15 minutes away; you had to go to Coco, but there were some decent places near by as well (GINGER WAS GREAT); however most places close EARLY if you are looking for anything to do after 10 you need to go do Coco. Ant and spider infested rooms - bring your own raid. The pool is nice but not cleaned often enough - full of bugs and leaves. Not enough pool towels or lounge chairs for all of the guests. When you ask for a towel, the response is "oh well, that's all we have". Another guest and I stood dripping at the front desk, on purpose, and insisted that they […] find us some towels, which they finally did. Really bad food - squeeze cheese on the burgers. Overpriced drinks at the pool bar - $10.00 for a margarita in a small plastic glass; $5.00 for a beer that sells in bars in Playa Coco about 15 minutes away for $2.40 to $3.00. We reserved a suite rather than a standard room. The hotel has 6 suites but 2 of the 6 are about 1/2 of the size of the others and smaller than the standard rooms. We got stuck in a small suite and asked to move even to a standard room with no refund in the extra price that we paid for the suite. The hotel refused - said they were fully booked which was absolutely not true. The manager offered us 20% off of our food and non-alcoholic beverage purchases as compensation and even said "so if you order a coke, you will save 20%", which is about 40 cents. We asked for a pool bar credit of $40.00 instead. He gave us $20.00, which was 1 margarita each. The suites are also near the entrance of the hotel and nowhere near the pool or beach. No hot water in our room from the shower and no water pressure. Casa Conde is also in the middle of nowhere. You have to drive to go anywhere. The closest decent restaurant is Ginger about a 5 minute drive. Ginger is a really good tapas restaurant but expensive. Another guest told me that she, her husband and 2 children took the "all inclusive" option at the hotel when she reserved their stay. The hotel told her that the "all inclusive" option did not include the children, only the adults, so she had to pay extra for them - absolutely ridiculous. Great place to stay. We were very happy with the accomodations, walls a bit thin between rooms but tolerable. Nice breakfast every morning. Beautiful birds, monkeys and iguanas right on the grounds. Located next to a very gentle bay, would feel comfortable with kids of any age at the pool or the beach. Other than the breakfast the food and drink in […] the restaurant/bar is quite expensive and not great. Fortunately there are many other places to dine nearby. Too bad as we would have liked to have supported the hotel with our eating/drinking business. Excellent hotel for those looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy nature. The beach is just steps from the pool, very clean beach where you can see lots of small fish, crabs and other small creatures. Great if traveling with small kids, no waves here and a lot to discover. We had a very pleasant 5 day stay at this hotel. The only negative was that there was a loud party outside one evening hosted by the hotel that kept us up.

great hotel for the price.

We found the location, 20 minute drive from Liberia, excellent after a long plane flight and ease of assess to the city. The hosts were nice and accommodating and are willing to assist. They arrange a new room for us when the AC malfunctioned, massages and transportation from the airport. Food at the hotel was excellent, the pool is large and enjoyable, the scenery, as the hotel is on the beach, great. The staff were friendly and fluid in spanish and english. Pluses; the pool and the location. Nice beach in a bay, visible from your room. Clean beds and cute porches/nice gardens. I did not have high expectations, so I was pleasantly surprised. Nice size area, on the beach, clean. The service is a little slow. The breakfast (on the plan) is a little light. The majority of the patrons is a little old. But for the money, you have a nice place on the beach! Pros: The ground at the property is very nice. The rooms are large and clean. I particularly liked the front porch of each unit. The easy beach access is another great thing about this hotel. Cons: The front desk people are not as helpful as they should be. At check-in time, they didn't offer basic information such as breakfast hours, map for the area, […] transportation in the area. They told us that they would charge for our extra child. But we had to reqeust MANY times before they to put an extra mattress on our floor 9 hours after we checked in. Things we loved about Casa Conde del Mar: it is steps to a beautiful and quiet beach, there is a great pool bar with an excellent bartender, the rooms were clean, and the grounds were beautifully gardened. Things we did not enjoy: each of the three nights that we stayed, we were kept awake by loud neighbors (different groups of people). We had no idea […] this was a "party" hotel. On the third night, after tapping on the wall of said loud neighbors, an angry, intoxicated man can banging on our door, yelling insults. When I told the front desk, they shrugged their shoulders. We woke up every morning to look out on the beautiful grounds, beyond which you could see and hear the ocean. That part was awesome. We also saw a large number of iguana's, birds, small mammals, and howler monkeys. The swimming pool is very large and attractive with the built in waterfalls. It has a great kiddie pool if you have a young family. Although […] it has a swim-up bar, it closes at 5 pm, which we found was right around the time we would have sat up there. Also, if you want to swim at night, the pool area is very poorly lit. The beach is well used on the weekend by the neighbouring towns but during the week it was exceptionally quiet. The waves are very calm since it is in a Gulf, so not good if you want to body surf or boogie board, but, again good for young families. Although the restaurant is good, we were happy to have a vehicle to go to some of the nearby towns and have some variety. We even went to Tamarindo for a day so our kids could surf. This hotel would be great if you had small kids or if you just wanted to relax. If you want a little more action you might find it really quiet - from location and the number of people staying there. We found the hotel just as represented-lovely grounds, friendly and helpful staff, great room (a junior garden-view suite), supurb location on a quiet and secluded bay with great view from a wonderful pool- just what we were looking for

This was a great hotel, located directly on the beach and very lovely. The pool was great. We had a car so it was not a problem to go to town when we wanted to see other areas, but the hotel is quite isolated from other beaches and other activities. Wonderful Casa Conde del Mar! This resort was a great way to end our 9 day Costa Rican Vacation. After travelling extensively over the country, this was a nice oasis. It is private, reserved and relaxing. It was pretty quiet while we were there. There was a beautiful pool which had a pool bar. Right outside of the pool, you are only 5 steps away from […] a gated entrance and your own access to the Papagayo Gulf Beach. The hotel thoughtfully added beach chaises for it's hotel guests to use. Keep in mind, the beach is not a private beach, but it is a nice mix of resort guests and native Ticos which makes it a better time and less touristy. This resort is not close to Bahia Coco which is another popular beach and town close by. We had thankfully rented a 4X4 to get around during earlier trips and it came in handy. It's about a 15 - 20 minute drive to Bahia Coco which is a happening little town full of the noisy tourist trappings that you want for only part of your vacation. The Casa Conde is an oasis from all of that. The rooms were okay, very spacious joined cabins with high jutting ceilings. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. We did learn that getting an early check-in is virtually impossible at all of the resorts we went to, so be sure you don't get there before the check-in time. Hotel casa conde del mar was an absolutly beautiful hotel. As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were pleasantly surprised. The staff greated as at the gate and when we arrived at the front desk, all our paper work and wrist bands were out and ready and drinks were brought to us immediatly. The pools and surrounding scenery were breath taking and the […] staff were very polite and very helpful. The room was a little smaller than the pictures portrayed however the room was a nice size and they were very private. the only slightly negative comment i have (which could be a positive) was the hotel was so secluded it was impossible to go shopping or dining outside of the hotel without paying a minimum of $40 (US dollares) for a taxi ride. They upgraded us to a jr. suite when we were there because they had almost no one else staying at the hotel. Pros: Tour desk and tours are great. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, we brought our left overs to the restaurant and they cooked and reheated it for us no charge! Panama beach was beautiful a short walk to very calm beautiful […] crystal clear water for snorkeling and diving. The Gulf had the most amazing sunset views. The pool was clean large and nice, but the swimup bar was unstaffed, probably because we were 1 of 5 guests staying at the hotel at the time. Large jacuzzi tub in our suite. The breakfast buffet was great, the had an omelet and waffle station. Cons: The suites are too far from the main hotel. The internet worked intermittently there. playa panama is pretty far from anything so you need a car if you want to go somewhere to eat. the matress was small and kinda old, a minor rearranging of the furniture and you can fit a king bed in there. Lo unico que no me agrado es que pedi las tres habitaciones contiguas y nos las dieron separadas y no es la primera ves que nos lo hacen, aparte que la habia pedido con mucha anticipacion, por lo demas el lugar es un paraiso, vamos dos a tres veces al año.

Ya había visitado el hotel en tres oportunidades anteriores. Esta vez la playa tenía un inconveniente que lugareños me comentaron que era la marea roja, lo cual no se me arbitró durante el ingreso al hotel. No se me ofreció información de posibles consecuencias. Además el aire acondicionado tenía un ruido importante que en la noche se acrecentaba aún […] mas. Bel hotel situé en bord de plage Panama. Belle et grande piscine. Jacuzzi extérieur froid. Chambres spacieuses, propores, avec vue sur la piscine et la mer. Climatisation donnant directement sur les lits, pour les amateurs de mal de gorge... Petit déjeuner pauvre... A l'exception du barman, le personnel de l'hotel est incompétent, incapable de rendre […] la plupart des services demandés et préférant inventer quand on leur demande des infos qu'ils ne connaissent pas... el hotel es bonito y comodo, ademas tiene la playa al frente y una gran piscina. Lo unico menos agradable son los precios del restaurante, que a mi opinion son altos y la calidad no es proporcional.

El hotel está excelentemente situado, en una playa de las más bonitas que vimos en Costa Rica, excelente para nadar ya que el agua es muy tranquila, y casi vacía incluso en las fechas que nos alojamos (justo antes del 25 de diciembre). Pero le pondría dos peros: 1) No sé si es responsabilidad de Hoteles.com o del propio hotel, pero las suites junior […] no deberían ofrecerse como adecuadas para más de dos plazas. Me explico, la habitación tiene una cama queen y un sofá cama, desde mi punto de vista una sofá cama no es una cama y no debería contabilizarse como plaza adicional. Nosotros metimos la pata y no miramos antes la descripción de la habitación, donde, efectivamente, detalla que sólo hay una cama. Al llegar a la habitación pues nos llevamos la decepción. Así como cuento esto, también debo reconocer que el personal del hotel nos atendió muy bien y en cuanto les fue posible (la segunda noche) nos proporcionaron una cama sencilla sin coste adicional, de modo que nuestra hija pudo dormir en una cama y no en el incómodo sofá cama. 2) Por mucho que se diga, las habitaciones (al menos la nuestra) no contaba con internet wireless. Al preguntar por ello nos dijeron que el router estaba roto y no nos dieron ninguna otra opción. Realmente íbamos de vacaciones y no necesitábamos el internet, pero si considero que los servicios que se ofrecen deben prestarse, y si no se puede no se ofrecen. Alguien que venga aquí a un taller o un viaje de trabajo seguramente le hubiera molestado mucho más que a nosotros. Lisätietoja

El hotel es realment acogedor, tranquilo, limpio, líndísimo. El servicio al cliente espcetacular.

Es muy tranquilo y relajante. Los jardines estan muy bien cuidados. La comida podria mejorar.

El hotel es un lugar hermoso, demasiado tranquilo y especial para descansar y relajarse. El lugar ideal para compartir con la pareja o bien hacer un paseo familiar en donde se busque estar unidos. Lo único que les falta mejorar un poquito es el gimnasio, me fui a hacer un poco de ejercicio y el equipo no se encuentra en las mejores condiciones ademas […] de no contar con todo el equipo necesario para ejercitarse. El hotel es muy bonito, lastima que no se puede tener confianza en las empleadas de limpieza del cuarto. Se me desaparecio dinero de la habitacion y el gerente del hotel NUNCA se disculpo por lo ocurrido, ni se comunico con nosotros.

Smuk beliggenhed direkte til havet, men stranden er med sort sand, hvilket giver en dyster stemning. Haven er meget velholdt og stor, flot og stor pool. MEN, værelserne trænger til en kærlig hånd, er slidte, belysningen dårlig, alt for mørk, toiletrullehålder i bad mangler. Betjeningen er i alt almindelighed uprofessionel. Det meste af personalet ved […] ikke, hvad de skal svare. Ikke et hotel, man skal vælge, hvis man vil foretage sig andet, end at blive der! Politiken bærer lidt for meget præg af, at man skal "malke" turisterne: eks. får man oplyst taxaprisen (hotellets chauffør) til det dobbelte af, hvad den reelt koster! Si lo que busca es un ambiente de playa para relajarse, donde encontrar quietud y tranquilidad le va a gustar. Ambiente familiar, hermosas instalaciones, bellos jardines y mucha comodidad para ir a la playa, la cual mantienen muy limpia.

El hotel es muy bonito, en primerísima línea de playa, piscina estupenda, desayuno con vistas al mar, montones de iguanas y lagartos que se pasean por la piscina y le dan un toque muy exótico.
