Americas Best Value Inn - Eureka

Exactly what I paied for, a clean room without any extras. Place was in the wrong part of town. The rooms on the ground floor are not recommended as there seems to be no noise insulation what so ever and the floorboards are very very very very squeaky. e aware of the Hotels cancellation Policy as it varies from Hotels dot com

The room had an unpleasant order when we entered. The tile floors were sticky and the water faucets were hard to turn off & on.

This hotel room has all the amenities of an expensive hotels with a VERY dated appearance. The whirlpool tub does not whirl. The shower curtain is updated but installed incorrectly and wraps around you as you shower. The continental breakfast is basic with a tasty muffin, coffee, tea, and oj.

This hotel/motel is not in a good location and is an insult to Hotels.com. It is in a neighborhood frequented by the homeless and other undesirables. Car alarms went off all night long and interfered with our sleep.

Bed sunk down in the middle. Remodeling had been done but it was a terrible job. Paper thin walls and alot of road noise. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Not a good value for the money.

Good rates, and you can walk to shopping center or historical old Eureka.

We enjoyed our stay but didn't get to eat the breakfast. Too small of serving area and too many people in line. Room was clean and mostly quiet except for a barking dog. That's what you get when you go to a motel that allows animals.

I think we were next to a paper pulp factory or a fish cannery. Yuk. Crowded. Very little parking. Lots of noisy motorcycles.

Hotel close to downtown for walking. Bed was like laying on a piece of plywood-ouch! Right on highway so the traffic noise gets a little loud through the night. Just seems like it can use an update.

Last minute booking, so shame on me. But please... hair on the toilet seat (under the 'cleaned for your comfort' band), tiny wall heater and 'barely there' internet that kept dropping the connection while trying to check email (not to mention uploading/download work documents). I'll pass on this place next time.

at arrival the gentleman was very rude and wanted to charge us extra for two beds even though we had reserved two beds. The room was really gross dingy walls, hole in the wall behind tv, 3 out of 4 light bulbs burned out, leaky toilet, and to top it all off my baby woke up covered in some sort of bug bites we couldnt find any bed bugs because the mattress […] covers zipped up all around the mattress! I was very unhappy and will never stay there again or reccomend this place to anyone. Infact I have several friends and family that live in Eureka and made sure to tell everyone not to go there! Older hotel nicely maintained, very clean and comfortable. Mini fridge was nice. Wife really liked the room. Convenient to old town Eureka. Closest to a complaint was the heater took a while to warm the room. However was an unusually cold night outside. Should not bother most visitors. Good for travelers or vacationers on a budget. "Continental" breakfast consisted of coffee, orange juice and sweet breads. I did not notice any oatmeal or hard boiled eggs available.

and not a negative person. i usually cannot find so much wrong with one establishment but there is a lack of customer service that prevails in this place. the continental breakfast was not even mentioned to us. i knew they had it due to the booking info, but it was not even breakfast...it was pastries from cost-co no doubt, milk and juice and coffee. the […] front desk lady had not one clue of what service with a smile was, she could have been a robot and i would have felt more warmth from her. as for the room. the windows need to be updated. eureka is on the north coast of california, it is cold. the windows allowed so much draft in and there was a wall heater that was about 2 feet by one and a half feet and it took hours of running it and running the hot shower to get the room heated up enough. one nice thing was when we requested an extra blanket the lady actually brought it up. Ok I have to admit that the location for the surrounding restaurants at Old Eureka is really good. But therefor that the inexpensive hotel is build directly on the US-101 you can feel every truck like an earthquake! Rooms are OK for what you pay for ... but we will never stay there and get a better hotel next time.

For the area, this motel room was very affordable. This is a budget motel so if you are expecting room service and mints under your pillow, this place is not for you. I checked in around 1 am and the clerk was pleasant (even though it was obvious that I woke her up). The room and bathroom were very clean. The room was equipped with a microwave, a good […] size mini-fridge with a freezer compartment that actually froze things solid and a coffee maker. The mattress was standard issue so it was too hard and I didn't sleep very well. Also, the motel is located on 4th Street, which is also the Southbound lanes of Highway 101 so it was quite noisy starting at 6am (I didn't realize this when I checked in). I didn't take advantage of the continental breakfast....instead I walked to Denny's which is only a couple of blocks away. Starbuck's is also within walking distance of this location. The parking lot is very small so if you are towing a boat, trailer, etc., you are not going to be able to park in the motel lot. Lisätietoja

A perfect Motel for a simple overnight stay. Nothing special, but not expensive and clean. You get what you pay, I would stay again.

The neighborhood and folks hanging around were questionable. The room was very old, and the bed was hard.

I've never stayed in such a low class hotel for the money I paid. All hotels in Eureka, CA are extremely expensive for the level they are and for the service they offer. This hotel is probably the worst I've ever stayed in the US.

Continental breakfast muffins and milk which they ran out of. No one behind the office desk on several occasions when we need to ask questions. Room smelled, was old and needed updating badly.

The location to Old Town is great--within walking distance to many good restaurants and the waterfront. I've stayed here several times; the room was nicer this time as the bathroom has been upgraded. I always make sure to request an extra blanket as only one is provided. The price is right and I have no complaints. I plan to stay here again.

Das Hotel ist soweit in Ordnung; das angebotene Frühstück entspricht allerdings nicht den in Hotels dieser Preisklasse gebotenen üblichen Standards. Man sollte es einfach nicht in Anspruch nehmen.
