The hotel was a little walk from the square but because the route took you through the residential area you were able to see very busy streets, the locals going about their business and it was really entertaining. Marrakech is a really interesting place to visit showing a unique way of life. Expect to be hassled by the locals wanting to sell you things. The local food was good, mainly kebabs and tagines. Alcohol was expensive but affordable. Marrakech is a wonderful place to spend afew days. Take a trip to the Atlas mountains - be prepared for the cold in comparison to Marrakech. I can make this quite short: The hotell is not absolutely excellent, but the atmosphere is very authentic and etcnic. Breakfast is boring, but freshly squeezed orange juice makes up for a LOT. The staff is very nice, though mostly French or Arab speaking - except for the manager, who is fluent in English. Fully agree with the positive comments regarding the host/ owner and the breakfast. He couldn't have been more helpful and the varied breakfast got the day off to a good start. It is not easy to find so ask the riad to book you a taxi from the airport which was worth the money. You did have to take your life in your own hands to reach most of the attractions, […] with cars and mopeds weaving in and out of each other. Mind you most sights were within walking distance. Had a great time at the Maison Rouge, a beautiful riad in the district of Berrima. Room was spacious, clean and well-decorated. Breakfast was served each day with coffee, bread, pancakes, fruit, yoghurt and orange juice. Staff are friendly and happy to make you a mint tea whenever you fancy it! There's also a fully-stocked bar, small pool and loungers […] on the roof. Riad was in a residential area which is difficult to find at first but within walking distance of all the main sites. A tremendous oasis of wellbeing and peace at walking distance of lots of highlights in this vibrating city. This beautifully restyled riad is a wonderfull and and tastefull combination of styles. The owner/manager is very thoughtfull and service minded and looking after his guests with a personal touch.

Riad La Maison Rouge was a great escape from the daily craziness of Marrakech medina. Rooms were clean and large. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooftop terrace, complete with pool, was a great place to relax during the heat of the day or unwind before bed. There is a bar on the roof and the riad will make you dinner (something, […] unfortunately, we didn't take advantage of). The staff will help to arrange and activities, but don't push or sell. We went quadding outside of the city and it was a great experience. The only downside is finding the riad to begin with, but once you walk around the neighborhood, it is pretty easy to travel to and from. Based on the pictures, the hotel looked very nice, and the ad claimed it was very close to the main square. All entirely false. We reserved a Junior suite, the room contained a bed and bedside tables only. There was no place to sit and talk except on the bed, most junior suites i've stayed in the past had a little sitting area, or at the very least […] a couple of chairs. The room did not have a telephone, TV, hairdryer or even locks on the doors. when we bought anything, we had no place to put it except for on the floor! Breakfast was coffee, juice and bread, one morning there were some tired looking bananas. It was at lease a 20/25 minute walk from the hotel to the main square, and a very scary walk back to the hotel at nights, as there were no lights in the area of the hotel. As the hotel rooms had no locks , subsequently no keys to lock your door. When entering the hotel you had to ring the bell and wait for them to open the door. I would not stay at this hotel again, nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone. The management needs to spend a few extra dollars a day on some fresh fruit, some local olives, cheese and or sweet rolls would be a nice addition to the bread served at breakfast. This riad had a great theme of red and beautiful courtyard and terrace. Location was perfect. Some of the fixtures in the rooms though need to be repaired/modified--toilet, showerhead, etc. I wish breakfast was more diverse instead of just whole fruit, cake, Moroccan flat bread, baguettes, and jam with tea/coffee. I wish some more local delicacies like […] donuts and pastries were available. At least one hot item would have been nice in addition to sliced cheese. Mint tea should also be available. Fabulous riad!! simply stunning as soon as you walk in. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The manager organsied a lot of extra activies and booked taxis for us as well as give us a map. The riad is very quiet and peaceful with a beautiful bar and pool terrance. Dont execpt any wild parties!! it is VERy quiet, which is definately what […] you need when your're in Marrakech!!!! a bit tricky to find intially but once we got our bearings, it was so simple. Ett jättecharmigt hotell med underbar takterass, en mycket serviceminded hotellchef/ägare som tog väl hand om alla gäster med tips på sevärdheter, restauranger o s v. Väldigt personlig atmosfär. Något slitna rum.

I det kaotiske Marrakech er dette en oase for slitne turister. Nydelig takterasse og verdens hyggeligste betjening. Hotellet anbefales på det varmeste!

ligger i medinaen. ikke helt enkelt å finne. bør ha godt kart. meget sjarmerende sted å bo. gode senger og god service, atmosfære. kort avstand til severdigheter.

Et veldig pluss å ha takterrasse med solsenger og basseng, som gjør at det går ann å kombinere storby -og solferie. Et lite stykke fra Djemaa El Fna, men ingen hindring hvis du har gode bein, og liker å gå. Mulighet til å få kjøpt øl og vin på hotellet er også en fordel.

Riaden ligger i ett lugnt kvarter, men intill ett mycket trafiktätt mindre trevligt område. Vi blev hänvisade till ett rum på taket intill en bar/servering, där det var mycket hett dagtid och störande ljudnivå på kvällen. Vi lyckades dock byta till ett rum längst ner. Het hotel ligt enerzijds op 15 minuten lopen van het grote plein (Jamaa al Fna) en anderzijds ligt het verscholen tussen huizen in een arme buurt. Soms niet makkelijk te vinden. Eenmaal binnen in het hotel is het een ware verrassing, Een echte Riad met binnentuin en galerijen waar de kamers allemaal op uitkomen. The personel and the owner were nice and and welcoming. It was a calm hotel and so beautiful. I would have liked to have some cheese in the morning. Otherwise it was all perfect!

Mitten im Lärm und der hektik der medina ist es auf der Dachterrasse und im ganzen Hotel dann unglaublich ruhig und man kann die wunderschöne abendstimmung geniessen, ist aber auch unmittelbar wieder im spannenden geschehen der stadt wenn man das hotel verlässt. Äusserst zuvorkommendes und nettes Personal! einziger Nachteil, wenn man vom Place Ferblantiers […] den kürzesten weg nehmen möchte muss man durch recht verwinkelte gassen in denen man sich gern verirrt und nachts alleine lieber meidet, man kann aber auch einfach 5-10min länger in anspruch nehmen und den beleuchteten weg über die belebt und befahrene Strasse nehmen. Fantastisk vakker riad, med super hyggelig personale og med et deilig lite basseng på takterrasen. Deilig å trekke seg tilbake hit i ettermiddagsheten. Frokosten er det eneste minuset på huset, den er i enkleste laget med bare søtsaker.

Accueil agréable mais assez loin de la place Djéma el Fnaa(15 minutes à pied). Rue à proximité très dangereuses et polluées même si hotel très calme.

A very nice riad inside the Medina. Good service - they helped with bookings, taxis and other requirements. Beautiful orange tree garden, and a very nice rooftop with a small pool and nice lounging possibilities. The room (on the bottom floor) was very nice and good temperatured. It was not possible to lock the door from outside when we left, and there […] was no very little bathroom privacy (you could see in to the bathroom from the room), but that did not bother us very much. It is kind of hard to find, and there is a similarly named hotel that is also causing confusion, make sure you have really good directions or let the riad fix someone to pick you up is my advice. Vi tilbragte en uke på denne riaden, og var veldig fornøyd. Super service - vi kom på et tidspunkt med lite gjester, og ble ved ankomst tilbudt å oppgradere til junior suite uten å måtte betale ekstra. Ligger et lite stykke unna det store markedet så man må gå litt, men det kan være en opplevelse i seg selv. Herlig, rolig takterasse med et lite basseng […] på taket. Kommer gjerne tilbake! Riad'en ligger i en ydmyg smøge, som ikke er let at finde første gang. Der er ca 10 minutters gang til centrum og ca 15 minutter til Djema el Fna og souken. Inden for er Riad'en hyggelig og velholdt og service er helt i top.

Deze Riad ligt in het zuiden van de oude stad in de Joodse buurt. Het ligt daardoor iets verder van de nouvelle ville maar wel in een heel rustig stukje in de buurt van veel mooie monumenten. Nadat je een oude onopvallende deur binnenloopt kom je terecht in een waar 1001 nacht gebouw, werkelijk fantastisch. Het dakterras is zoals de foto's tonen: fijn […] om te vertoeven en heel rustgevend. De kamers en de patio zijn heel erg mooi ingericht en schoon. De manager en het personeel zijn zeer behulpzaam en dienstbaar. De manager heeft een aantal keren taxi's geboekt voor ons, restaurants gereserveerd en een riad in Essaouira voor ons geboekt. Het enige nadeel is dat het heel erg gehorig is. We hadden geluk dat er weinig andere gasten waren. Maar ik denk dat dit een probleem is van alle riads aangezien dit altijd oude gebouwen zijn met een centrale patio. Lisätietoja

Sehr schönes Riad, aber da alle Zimmer in den Hof gehen, können v. a. die Erdgeschosszimmer von jedem der vorbei geht, eingesehen werden. VORSICHT: sehr schwer zu finden und Taxifahrer kennen den Straßennamen nicht. Man sollte unbedingt die Telefonnummer des Hotels greifbar haben, dann kann der Taxifahrer sich vom Riad selbst erklären lassen, wie er […] hinkommt. Mit dem Auto das RIAD alleine zu finden, ist schier unmöglich. Wir haben uns ein Taxi genommen und es vor uns herfahren lassen. Lisätietoja
