When we first checked in about 6 in the evening, the room we were given was not cleaned. When we went to the front desk, they gave us another room. This room was very old. After the first night we upgraded to a bigger room. The hair dryer was broken, we had no light in our bathroom for two days. Maintenance came and looked at it but never fixed it nor […] told us what the problem was. We had no hot water on our last morning although that issue was fixed later in the day. Never again, sheets were stained, rooms looked so poorly attended too, toiled and sink clogged up right away, the breakfast is horrible.

The room was very dirty . Bathroom was dirty also.

We stayed for one night. The rooms were dirty, stains on the walls, broken mirrors, etc. they wouldn't bring extra towels to our room, we had to go get them and it was in a bad neighborhood.

This hotel should not be a Travel Lodge. It appears to have one area under repair. Carpet was stained and filthy, bedding was dusty, bathtube was stained to the point that I did not feel comfortable showering in it. There was a very strong odour in the lobby.

This hotel is awful. It smells, the hallways are dirty. The carpet is disgusting. The bathrooms are in need of repair and filthy. THe staff is lazy and unhelpful. The doors were missing security bar locks. If I had not been in desperate need of shelter due to Hurricane Sandy I would have never booked this hotel.

There motel is dirty and poorly maintained. I will not stay at any TravelLodge again.

I was not satisfied at all! I was give keys to an occupied room,my new room was dirty!

The hotel condition is horrible. We have to switch the rooms twice because one or other thing was not working in the rooms. Luckily i got another hotel nearby with additional 10 bucks. Rate is too high compare to hotel condition.

Although the maintanence of the hotel was a bit shabby, the room was clean and the staff was decent and accomodating. A modest continental breakfast was included in my stay. Beds are nice and comfy, and you can't beat the free shuttle to and from the airport.

This is obviously a cheaply run, low end operation that i wouldn't recommend to anyone who wasn't a homeless person.

This hotel is the step up for homeless people. Filthy hallway carpet with smired blood stained walls and dirty needles found outside of the building. No security doors to keep out rift raft. Do not stay here. Plus they will not refund your money if you check out early. Somebody give this place a book of matches.

Travelodge Newark Airport-inside rooms were clean but outside was full of trash

Im very sorry to say this but me and my friend had a terrible experience with this travel lodge, we had jus visited the travel lodge in albany and was really impressed. On arrival at the Newark hotel, however, we found hair everywhere, in the fridge, in the bath and the floor was dirty. we found dirty towels, half used products in the bathroom and it […] was generally clear that the room had not seen a good clean in a while. The light bulbs where not in working order and the manager was not very understanding and quiet rude. we were only there for three nights but we had a very bad experience and would not reccommend it to anyone!!!!!! Hotel is excellent for a quick stay over. Hotel has a shuttle to & from EWR airport. Given the low room price I would stay again. But you get what you pay for so don't go expecting a 4 or 5 star hotel.
