Thoroughly enjoyable with a celebratory drink to mark 20 years being a most welcoming point of entry. Staff really special and nothing seemingly was too much trouble... Excellent.

We went to Oulton Hall to celebrate our civil ceremony. The room was very clean but the bathroom had water leakage issues. The breakfast was amazing - although fish could have been offered and the service good. It would have been good to have something extra as a memory of our stay for our civil ceremony as I had mentioned it on the phone.

We loved the look and ambience of the hotel, and the staff were lovely. We did have a problem with a meal we received in room service but our complaint was handled very well by the staff member. Overall we had a very nice stay at Oulton Hall.

Hotel site and public areas are very nice. Unfortunately our room (standard double) was dated and a little grubby in places. The room was large, had an lcd tv and with free wifi it is far from the worst that I have stayed in. Breakfast is also pretty good.

I love the hotel it's self, it has a wonderful atmosphere. BUT, we was very disappointed with our room. First of all as we went to our room, we was to find some work going on a couple of doors down from our room, which we wasn't warned about. This killed it straight away for us, the strong smell of paint fumes was an instantly off putting. Secondly, […] we had a terrible nights sleep due to the temperature in our room. The valve on the radiator was broken, so the room was way to hot to sleep in, so we opened a window, only to be disturbed all night by other noisy guests and cars! Service was very good especially with our booking as there had been a mix up with dates. One member of staff was particularly helpful. Room very comfortable but late nighters from another function very noisy and disturbed family & friends in the early hours of the morning. Reception, bar and restaurant areas very nice but rooms are not to the same style or standard. Room was however Clean and comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. Dinner and breakfast were reasonably good. Some really friendly staff at reception and breakfast.

The long driveway from the main road, runs through the golf course. Very quiet at night.The grand entrance hall of the hotel leads into the drawing room and champaign bar, there is a grand piano centre piece. My boyfriend and i came away for one night on a DBB rate. The service was excellent from the reception to the bar staff. The champgane bar was lovely and we really enjoyed our pre and post dinner drinks - although they were rather expensive. The pool and sauna etc were lovely and you could not fault the food in the restaurant.

Overall, the Oulton Hall hotel is a very nice place to stay. The original building is beautifully appointed, well decorated and very comfortable. The staff on arrival were very warm and welcoming towards our group. The leisure facilities were well maintained including a swimming pool, steam room, sauna and small gymnasium, The only real disappointment […] was the condition of the bathroom within the hotel room itself. Great great staff - brilliant friendly and amenable service. Can be a bit slow in the restaurant when their busy. Rooms feel a bit tired and old compared to the modern and excellent gym and pool facilities.

The public areas of the hotel are beautiful. The rooms are a little dated but after speaking to the hotel, they are in the process of refurbishing them. Staff were very friendly and I would stay there again.

Oulton Hall is a good hotel and the rooms are spacious and well maintained. The gym and pool are OK. The only issue is that the food menu is a little expensive and service in the Claret Jug can be a little slow at times. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

The public rooms and restaurant areas are well maintained, however the rooms and bathrooms in particular do not appear to have been updated in many years and are looking rather tired now. The quality of food at dinner and breakfast are good and the staff are welcoming.

hotel is excellant & staff top notch would totally recomend but be aware £4.95 for a pint of peroni and food steep as well. not same prices as devere village but similar menu ? surroundings of hotel grounds very scenic as has golf course. Spa would be good unfortunatly sauna & steam room not working properly at time of my stay staff apologised saying […] had tripped out so not hot ! Cold steam room not pleasant ! Always a pleasure to stay we were only there 4 weeks ago, but decided to have another shopping weekend in Leeds and a chill out time at Oulton Hall. We love the gym, pool and spa facilities at Oulton Hall it is fab, would like to go once a month. For evening eating try the Toby Jug carvery a fab meal and eat as much as you like.

The hotel it's self was was warm and welcoming. The only thing that let it down was confusion over dinner was told we paid for dinner up to £19 but we was B & B an I had a dirty wine glass an then some thing floating in my coffee would of been ok but the waiter laughed at me other than that I enjoyed my stay.

Fantastic all round! Beautiful room, food, grounds. My only problem was while the groom who was sat at the top table asked for a beer which came promptly But was also given the bill to pay for it at the table on his wedding day! The wedding was no cheap affair and was totally disgusted by this!!

The Hotel is a beautiful Mansion House, we were in the more modern- added -on section. The room was comfortable, but was looking a little "tired" in that there was a split in the carpet, which had been of a good quality. The bathroom too, needed a "freshen up" the grouting needed re-doing and it needed a lick of paint. Despite this the room was clean. […] The bathroom needed a more thorough cleaning around the base of the bath handles, and the overflow, but that is if you are being very picky, which I am when it comes to bathrooms. I would visit again but for a 4 star Hotel, these little niggles, did just that. The swimming pool was great and the water temp warm- great! We have been here 3 times this year, it's beautiful, shop around as you can get some fabulous deals. The rooms are lovely, especially if you get one overlooking the gardens. The gym is great and pool very good. The restaurant is bit pricey but Toby carvery down road is lovely and great prices. We will be going back again in couple of months.

The room looked fine,but...the shower didn't work, the power went off for a while which caused us trouble with the Internet, the worst was one of the bed legs fell off leaving y husband rolling onto the floor. Had a great little break with friends. It was a great hotel with friendly staff and good facilities however the spa reception staff left a lotto be desired. The treatments were good though.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pull down bed could have been more comfortable (it had a metal frame that caught your legs when you got in and out of it) and our aircon did not work even though we reported it three times. The food was delicious.

We checked in for a 2 night stay. We were staying with many other family and friends as part of a larger group. We dined in the restaurant on Friday night and the set menu was priced at £30.00. I had read reviews on TripAdvisor regarding the average food and sadly those reviews were accurate, the menu was nothing special and the main course was very […] disappointing. The service was very slow, though the waiters were polite and friendly. Our room, a standard double was generally clean and comfortable, though the ironing board cover was full of large holes, there was also a 12 inch vertical black mark on the bathroom mirror and a dirty armchair that was in desperate need of a clean. After complaining the ironing board cover was replaced and chair changed. Shower caps are not given to standard rooms, I would have thought they are a basic and surely cost pence not pounds! On Friday we were kept awake until 1am by a very noisy disco. I was able to hear the lyrics to each tune, as were my children. Our room was located directly over the disco. On check-in were were not advised about the disco. We were offered to move rooms at 0045, not ideal with 2 children, when the damage had already been done and in the time it would have taken us to change rooms the disco would have finished. After numerous complaints we were refunded half the cost of our first nights stay. This gesture of good will is appreciated. The breakfast was good with lots of choice. Rooms (long walk and two elevators to get to room bags not taken or delivered not 4 star standards) nice room clean and well kept, large screen digital tv with lots of chanels.. fridge (not stocked) and tea and coffee making, iron, hairdryer etc in room, nice beds and our view over the grounds was good. Recepion area , welcoming with nice staff, lobby […] very nice area to sit and have a cream tea (20 £ each !) nice bar area but exspencive, dinning room very nice quality breakfast with all you would expect. A large hotel complex based on a Georgian mansion; extensive grounds including a golf course and club house. Good spa facilities and a really excellent (and consequently expensive!) restaurant. Additional (less expensive) facilities available at the club house across the service road to the hotel. Staff really went out of their way to help - I didn't […] take any swimming shorts and they gave me a map to a local Sainsbury; even checked that they sold them! We had breakfast in our room on my wife's birthday. I had mentioned to the memeber of staff who chased up Sainsbury that it was her birthday, so there was a muffin with a candle on it on our breakfast tray. This hotel is perfect for couples who want weekend away pr even group of freinds .the spa there is amazing we had treatments and staff were very professional the whole hotel experiance was lovely. the food in resturant in golf course part was ourstanding too and pur breakfast in the morning was delicious will be booking there again very soon .

The hotel and rooms are lovely but some of the staff lacked in customer service. We ate at the Claret Jug restaurant on one evening where the service was poor, we had to wait 30 minutes for our table evne though the table we ate at was already free when we arrived and then during the meal the service continued to be of a poor standard. In the morning we ordered breakfast to the room but this did not arrive when expected, we phoned down and they were quick to send it up to us but by then they were short of the items we had ordered resulting in us only getting some of our breakfast. Unfortunately we booked a room at this hotel during one of their very busy periods. We arrived after a very long journey and found we were unable to eat in either the main restaurant (fully booked), or the Champagne Bar (advised to go there by the receptionist) but it had closed to serving of food. We (and others) had to trek round the outside of a […] badly lit hotel and find our way into the Claret Jug bar (also poorly lit and signed). The food was acceptable. The breakfast was buffet style in an enormous dining room - breakfast also acceptable, not great, as hot food had been sitting in warmed containers.
