Ferrari's Crown Resort - Kings Beach

We enjoyed our stay very much. Continental breakfast could offer more items. Fruit, yogurt and/or danish pastries would have been nice.

Nice MOTEL. Not the Hyatt, but a good price right on the beach at Tahoe. Room was small, older, but clean. I'd stay there again.

Great place to stay in north shore Tahoe. Right on the beach, it was the best looking hotel on the street. Extremely clean room and bathroom! For the price you cant beat it. The suites and lakeview rooms would be worth the extra price. Next time i hope to rent one myself!

from the moment I walk in the office, I felt at home. my room was clean and the view was insane. the staff was very helpful..... I can't say more, I will be staying here again.....This is a great place for the hole family...

Not a luxury hotel, but great find for the money. We had a lakeview room (great view and access to the lake is steps from the hotel) with a little kitchenette and gas fireplace- which needed to be repaired twice during our 1 night visit. The friendly manager sent someone promptly the first time and came himself right away the second, carrying a space […] heater in case we needed it again. Crowded hottub was a little too hot, but felt good anyways on tired muscles. Shower was a little finicky, but bearable. Comfortable beds, clean rooms and continental breakfast in a warm room with chairs and tables. I would give it 5 stars if it were newer and spiffier, but then we wouldn't have got such a nice price. They need to upgrade their rooms, but ESPECIALLY THE ROOMS WHICH THEY ACQUIRED from a hotel next door. It still looks like two separate motels, and the room is in terrible shape. Would never recommend.

On the beach, close to ski rentals and restaurants and groceries. Easy access to Hwy 80 from 267. Family run, Dave especially went out of his way to be sure our stay was great and we had everything we needed. Lake and snow covered mountain view fantastic.

The main reason why we stayed at this hotel was because it was close to Northstar resort. We just needed a place to crash before going snowboarding the next day. It was the Friday before President's Day weekend and every place was either sold out or crazy expensive. It's a motel, don't expect anymore than that and you won't be disappointed. This was the first time I had stayed here but the hotel was recommended to us from people who had stayed before. Our room was great! It's had a beautiful view of the lake and even a fire place! Our valentines day couldn't have been any better. The only problem we had is our cable went out one night but it was snowing A LOT. This is a nice motel, they have a nice hot tub with an amazing view of the lake (unfortunately it closes at 10), and as long as you don't expect an actual "Crown Resort" you'll have a good time.

This hotel is close to Alpine meadows, Northstar and Squaw. It is right on the lake for great views

Clean, updated corner room with a fabulous view of Lake Tahoe. Watched both the sunset and sunrise from inside the room. Very convenient to North Tahoe snow skiing.

I probably had the best room in the hotel, with a view of the lake, the mountains, the pool and the hot tub. Some kids stayed up past my bed time and were talking but not loud outside.

Located near several major ski resorts and directly on Lake Tahoe. They offer discount lift tickets for skiers which is a plus. I have stayed here several times to go skiing. It's located 5 miles from my favorite ski resort. The staff is always helpful and courteous. The only thing that I would complain about is that the beds are a little uncomfortable. […] But after a day of skiing I am too tired to stay awake for very long. This place has it all; comfortable living and surroundings on the mellow north shore of Lake Tahoe. Perfect location, many nice restaurants all located within 10 minutes. We found this place by chance about 10yrs ago and have returned about every four years when we make it up to Lake Tahoe. The two room suites along the north lake front are great for our family. The suites have a deck area just outside the unit that is great to relax with a book. The unit itself has full length glass windows facing the lake and beach […] area and it is pleasant to be able to look out at the lake from the comfort of your room when its snowing outside. The entire staff are friendly and they always say hi when in the area. We have arrived and requested a different room if available facing the lake and they have been accommodating with a smile. It is a nice place that does have some history being at lakeside for many years. They also offer a continental breakfast that gets us going in the am with juice. coffee, oatmeal/dry cereral, bagels/cream cheese and assorted other pasteries. The standard room we stayed in block 5 was just ok...passable. There was lot of noise/disturbance from the floor above and felt like the roof would fall. The location is good, nearby to lot of other spots and next to lake. The hotel is old and could use some updating, but the staff was great and the room view and conveniences made our stay great! Its nice to not spend an arm and a leg for the hotel stay and get to splurge on other things! Very kid friendly, we had a great experience!

Very clean, small but highly efficient use of space ( nice walk in closet, a vanity desk with a huge mirror, a large writing desk, and a TV armoire with built in shelves), also lots of nice fluffy, absorbent towels, and very friendly staff. Situated near a lot of ski resorts in the north lake tahoe area. We missed the free Continental breakfast from 8 am to 930 am during the days we went skiing. This place is a dump! Do not stay here unless you like the brappy motel life. Would not reccomend this place to anyone. We chose to stay elsewhere because of the deceiving pictures adn amenities.

I booked online to the Crown Resort, but when driving into town was a little surprised to see the sign read "Crown Motel". The service was great and the views were irreplaceable! The pools were out of service, but I was only staying for 1 night, so those ammenities were not on my "have to have" list.

Don't stay here to enjoy the amenities, only it's location is what make's the Crown a great place to get some rest at night. Breakfast was fine, nothing fancy. The surrounding neighborhood is also fine but nothing fancy - don't expect to find great shopping in the area. Head to Truckee for that.

It is a simple but decent motel with good value. It also provides breakfast. It really save some time.

This recent trip was our second time staying here and we will definitely be back again next year. The hotel is worth it's weight in gold due to the absolutely beautiful location. There is nowhere else I would even consider staying.

Dont take the basic room there awfull

This motel is right on North Lake Tahoe. Walk down a few steps and you are in the lake!! It is convenient for water sports, shops and eating out. Rooms are quite small and a little out-dated but very clean and we didn't experience any noise. The scenery is breathtaking and we couldn't have picked a better location. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Lovely decks with a wonderful view of the lake. There is beach access.Nice pool and hot tub. Located close to many restaurants and shops. Recommend the sunset cruise in nearby Tahoe City.

This is an older hotel with no frills but the rooms are clean and between the price of the room and the location to the lake, it can't be beat. We had a great time!

Room on 2nd the floor. 1 double, 1 single bed. Parents and 3 year old. Kept windows open 1tomorrow st night because it was warm and no AC in the room. Heater only. Happy to have refrigerator and coffeeI maker in room. Within short walking distance to food. Drug store across the street. It wasn't a 5 star hotel, but it was clean, close to the water, and I slept well. The room was small, so if you need to be able to maneuver probably get a larger room. (We got the smallest).

If you are looking for a place to sleep while enjoying Lake Tahoe, then Ferrari's Crown Resort will suit your needs. We stayed in one of the motel rooms just off the street to save money, so there was a bit of traffic noise. They do have lakeview rooms available for a little more money. The pool has an amazing view of the Lake and was a great place […] to relax with a book. The room was small, but again, if you are simply in need of a place to crash, it was perfect. King's Beach is not very walking friendly (few crosswalks and few sidewalks), but it has a state beach and plenty of places to eat as well as rent water craft (kayaks, paddle boards, etc.). THIS LOCATION IS PERFECT. This little hotel sits right on the lake. Private beach, 2 pools and 2 jacuzzis made the kids very happy. Incredible views morning, noon and night. From our patio, we were able to watch the moon refelcting off the water. I have visited Lake Tahoe many times and have never had such an awesome, peaceful location. Great for families […] and romantic get a ways. From the pools we were looking out at the lake. Our kitchenette was perfect as we had a fridge and microwave and were able to make some meals in the room which helped save money. I will definetly go back to Ferraris. Unfortunately this hotel is the antithesis of what I was hoping for. It was a dark cinder block building with a damp carpet. Couldn't wait to get out of it.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Incredible Lake View from my Lake front room! Be mindful of the difference between the terms "Lake View" and "Lake Front". We booked this hotel in June because it has beach access which was our main concern. Lounge chairs were provided by the hotel for free. Everything else was a plus. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the swimming pools were enjoyable. We used the hotels BBQ's to make smoores. The motel is definitely showing its age, especially on the outside. The front desk person was very nice and the room was fine, quite clean and had a view of the Lake. Unfortunately weather was very windy so we couldn't enjoy pool, deck, etc. Very iffy neighborhood, but then so is most of King's Beach. Very simple yet ideal setting on the lake itself. Lovely deck to simply sit and enjoy the view. Beach right there to walk or make sand castles as many were doing. Very helpful staff in answering questions and researching various activities in the area.
