The Plantation Inn - Lahaina

We enjoyed our stay and the food was very good for breakfast and dinner. Gerard's Restaurant was really high end and very enjoyable. We sat on the porch which has about 8 other tables. Prices are high but the food is great. The rooms was good sized and we were in a room upstairs with a nice balcony overlooking the pool. We were here in March and the […] pool was not heated which kept us from going into the pool We would stay here again if going to Lahiina. Everything is with walking distance. We had a wonderful stay at the Plantation Inn. It is a very adorable little hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and the bed was so comfy. We had a room on the ground floor by the pool with a spotless lanai. The staff are more than welcoming and very helpful. The location is great right in the middle of everything but being a block from Front Street […] we didn't hear any noise at night. The complementary breakfast in the morning was delicious and because it's not open to the public it was also peaceful. We would have loved to stay longer. We booked a room for one night in peak season - which was all that was available. A bit pricey for us, but we got a surprise: a free upgrade to a suite - maybe someone cancelled. A suite has a bedroom, bathroom, and a large combined kitchen/dining/living room with all mod cons such as oven, dishwasher, insinkerator, etc, everything you could want, EXCEPT […] a kettle to boil water! We used a pan on the stove, or a cup in the microwave (no mugs, just silly little cups). It was way above our usual standard - but I guess it was normal for many people. The hotel looked like a colonial building, but is only built in that style and is actually fairly new. There is a nice terrace and a small pool, and a lovely jacuzzi. Breakfast (included) is outside on the terrace by the pool, supplied by Gerard's restaurant (top quality, numerous stars) at the front of the Inn, but the brekkie cook isn't the dinner cook - I had a "croque monsieur" that took half an hour to arrive, and it resembled a fried cheese sandwich sitting all alone on a greasy plate. They had decaf coffee, real milk, fruits, etc. and brekkie was a leisurely affair. The hotel is squashed into a couple of small lots, some rooms fronting the street, some a carpark, and some, like ours, overlooking the side carpark and garbage area (ie there was no view that you wanted to look at). The furnishings were sumptuous and comfortable, ample pillows, great bed. Aircon worked very well - we got cold! The decor was gorgeous and extremely clean. We were just sorry that we weren't there long enough to use all the suite's facilities. One thing - there is no lift and no-one to help with the luggage, so if you are staying on the second floor as we were, be prepared to lug your heavy case up 2 long steep flights. The best thing was that after we checked out, we put our luggage in the boot of the hirecar and spent the day walking around Lahaina, doing tours, without the hassle of having to find parking: we left the car with it's "guest" Lisätietoja

I loved this place-my room had french windows that opened onto a little patio (lania) with easy chairs, across from the pool. It's about a block away from the main street and shopping area, which runs along the shoreline, but is very quiet. The garden is enclosed, with the swimming pool set into it, and a substantial and delicious breakfast was included […] in my room rate, and served by the pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great place to stay and very friendly staff. When we asked what time we need to leave to catch a 9:30 AM flight they told us about 7:30 AM and then said, so you will miss breakfast that starts a 7:30 so we will bring something to your room the night before and put it in the fridge. Very nice staff.

Would definitely go again!

Perfect alternative to the typical large expensive resort hotels. Location is right in the heart of downtown, easy walk to shops/restaurants. Quiet, clean, and comfortable rooms with a nice pool area. The restaurant onsite is exceptional, but will set you back some bucks for dinner.

My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Plantation Inn. Beautiful & comfortable room, the Gerards restaurant was an added bonus, excellent food. Location was 1/2 block from downtown Lahaina, yet quiet/ comfy 24/7. The staff was very knowledgeable and more than willing to answer all of our many questions. This bed and breakfast is beyond words. The price is more than reasonable considering the accommodations and location. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is walking distance from Front Street where all the shops, dining, etc are located in Lahaina. Gerard's (the restaurant located […] on the property) is outstanding and is the source of the breakfast provided in the mornings. Great location, right in the town of Lahaina, with lots of stores and restaurants on your doorstep. Very friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms. Lovely garden area with loungers, umbrellas and a good-sized swimming pool. Gerards restaurant, on the premises, provides an excellent fine dining experience.

Rooms were great, service was ecellent. Breakfast was super. Just waling distance from Front street, only 2 blocks. Sure beats the big hotels. We will stay here again.

We stayed here for 2 heavenly nights and loved the location (in heart of Front St. District), our Lanai room, the restaurant-Gerard's was flawless, wonderful staff. Honestly cannot rave enough about this gorgeous & personal little boutique hotel! Will go again on our next trip to Hawaii.

Mycket trevligt litet B&B med fantaskiskt läge mitt i Lahaina, nära till allt. Härlig frukost vid poolen. Rummen är stora, fint inredda (Lanai rum) och har en liten uteplats.

Att bo på Plantation Inn är en upplevelse. Mycket personligt bemötande, nästan som att hälsa på hos några vänner och inte som att bo på ett hotell. Utsikten är fantastisk och det lokalt odlade kaffet som serveras hela dagen underbart.

Under vår vistelse på Maui bodde vi 6 nätter på Plantation Inn och det var en mycket positiv upplevelse. Underbart hotell med mycket personlig känsla. Vi hade ett rum med direkt utgång till poolområdet - perfekt. Parkering ingår i priset vilket inte försämrar omdömet. Så gör även frukosten vilken man inte är van vid i USA. 고급호텔보다 편안한곳을 좋아하는 저로서는 마우이와 잘 어울린다고 생각합니다^0^ 주차, 조식 모두 무료입니다. 귀중품보관용 키는 유료였고 보증금이 다른데보다 좀 더 있더라구요. 직원분들도 너무 친절하시고 플랜테이션인 너무 좋았습니다ㅠㅠ 또가고 싶어용

Die Preise im Restaurant lassen zwar - trotz Gutscheines - den Atem stocken, die Speisen und die ausgezeichneten Weine entschädigen aber wirklich. One of the reason why I chose this hotel was free high speed internet. Because I had to work even I take my family to the tropical paradise. But the lady at clark said " our internet sometimes works, sometimes doesn't work". That was not true....it DID NOT WORK AT ALL. So ebvery now and then, I needed to go to Starbucks to use internet. Plantaition Inn är det perfekta alternativet för den som inte vill bo i gigantiska hotellkomplex och golfhotell på Maui. Vi är jättenöjda med allt, bodde där 8 nätter i jan 2011.

The Plantation Inn är ett litet och charmigt hotell med bra service och trevlig personal. Frukosten serveras i trädgården och ledig tid tillbringas med fördel på den mysiga balkongen. Ett stort plus är restaurangen som finns i anslutning till hotellet och där de serverar fantastisk mat.
