Nice hotel, with convenient location to the ferry service. Far away fom the noise and crowds of Bellagio. Breakfast is decent, but quality of the dinner was poor - like cafetari food. I would suggest eating eslewhere.

We arrived to find we had been upgraded to a family room with a balcony and a beautiful view of Lake Como. The staff were terrific - we loved it!

This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in during our trip but perhaps the worst value. The hotel is a little faded but this is most apparent in the rooms. The airconditioning was loud. Liked: hotel, room, view, swimming pool, roof terrace, parking, breakfast. Disliked: terrace was closed for two days to hotel guests for private functions, directory in room inadequate, room key cards unreliable, traffic noise, "garden" (lauded in hotel brochure) overgrown and inaccessible.

So on paper this place looks great. It's not. Rooms are small and antiquated. The shower (and the whole bathroom for that matter) is tiny and styled from the 70's and has not been upgraded. The only thing this hotel has going in it's favor is the view, and you can find much better views at other hotels around Lake Como. Basically everything is pretty […] sub-par. Fabulous location on lake como, balcony room worth the extra cost, cute town and walking distance to ferries; great view of lake from dining room and terrace bar/lounge area. staff cold and not helpful.

Well worth the money. It was gorgeous, the location perfect and the view even better. We'd stay here again and again. My only complaint is that the pillows were a bit hard.

We booked this hotel due to its price and location on the lake. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into the Grand Hotel Cadenabbia!! The hotel is directly on the lake (well - across the street, but as close as you can get). We walked up to our room and were speechless! We were greeted by beautiful marble floors, an grand chandelier, regally […] dressed bed, and a wonderful private veranda. The bathroom was completely updated and very clean. Our veranda looked over the lake - just amazing! The hotel staff was great, from the small amount of interaction we had with them. They recommended heading to Bellagio to explore for the day. They gave us the directions to the ferry, the cost and the frequency of the ferry trips. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Lake Como area. It was beautiful! Hotel is very well located. It is, however, dated. Beds and carpets are old and could use refurbishing. Breakfast could use an update too - it was crowded with bus tours, offered limited choice and fruit seemed to run out well before breakfast was over every day. Front desk staff was lovely and very helpful.

The lake front balcony room was fabulous at half the Grand Tremezzo price. The buffet breakfast was exceptional. Service outstanding. Treat yourself to Como's Mr. Toads wild ride and take the C 10 bus to hotel from Como train station for 6.20 euro for two people(cab fare 80.00).

This hotel is a fading Grand Hotel, how it has maintained it's Four Star Rating is beyond me. The staff seems extremely put-out by even the smallest request. My floor was filthy and turned my feet black if I walked barefoot. I informed thecfront desk of this fact and I was given the "so what look". Supreme location, magnificent views and the romantic setting are not the points that can be challenged. The worries start when its clear that main target group for this hotel is "elderly retired", the fact that can impact on competitiveness very quickly. As well as the attractiveness of the place. We had a romantic weekend there, me and my wife. The […] arrival was inspiring, but the expectations were challenged quiet soon thereafter. First, the lobby looked nicely furnished and equipped, but upstairs the room was very poorly furnished, not cosy and cold. It did not matter that it had the lakeview, because we wanted to get out of the room as soon as possible. This is what we did looking for a restaurant, and what we found upstairs was tha top floor restaurant with very good views, but filled with crowd of 70+ grandmas and granpas that instantly made us feel not fit for the audience. We got out and found a reasonable place close to the hotel. in the evening asked the reception whether they can assist me in rent ing the boat, they promissed a lot but then... we got nothing the following day... Finally: sound insulation of the door. Do not even consider romantic stuff in bed, as all of your elderly nabours will have a topic to discuss at next breakfast. it is literally like no door at all. At approx. 5 am the crowd we saw upstairs dining was massively departing. A guy with a strong machos voice laughed lively in front of our door waking us up if it was somebody shouting at my ear.... Conclusion: add 50 Euros if you want romantic stay at Como. Or more, not to be dissapointed.... Lisätietoja

Our lakeview room was large and clean but the decor was very spartan (no wall decor, very small TV, limited reading light, and unmatched bedspreads) However, the location was excellent with the bus from Como dropping us off right at the doorstep and it was only a 5 minute walk to the ferry to Bellagion and a 10 minute walk to a very nice restaurant […] in Tremezzo (which the hotel had recommended). The staff was very helpful in setting up a very early morning taxi necessitated by our ongoing travel plans and even opened the dining area so we could have a limited breakfast prior to our 6:30 AM departure. We had read complaints about the dining room breakfasts which were included in the rates but we found it more than adequate and the dining area had a lovely view of the lake. Lisätietoja

Although the hotel itself is good but it seems to cater for English coach parties. I would expected something more Italien but it was a place to cater for the older english. Had dinner in the restaurant first night, what a shock it was like a holiday camp and brekfast was awful, and could not get a drink in the bar after 11.45pm, went to the hotel along […] the road. This hotel is elegent and clean. It's an old hotel and it's showing it's age but some of the quirks give the hotel character. It's in a great location - across from Bellagio and the ferry is close by. So is the Villa Carlotta which is a must see. The staff spoke English well and were helpful.

Grand public areas, our family room with lakeview was spacious and had a huge balcony with great views plus deckchairs and table. Purchased the ferry tickets covering centro lago so visited Varenna as well as Cadenabbia, great views from castello vezia 20 mins walk up from Varenna village

Great lake view and directly accross from Bellagio. Also, Rodrigo's restaurante down the street is fabulous.

I wasn't sure what to expect of the hotel or its location in regard to Lake Como. I was very pleasantly surprised with everything about the hotel and the area. It is an older property, but well maintained. Plus, all of the properties in the area are old, which is the appeal of Lake Como. We had our 2 college kids with us and ordered a room for 4, which […] was basically a larger hotel room with a double bed and 2 twin beds. We paid a little extra for a lake view and were very pleased to get 2 windows that looked out onto the lake and one balcony overlooking the lake. We walked to the ferry boat which took us to the other beautiful towns on Lake Como. The breakfast, which was included in our rate, was substantial, healthy, and tasty. The dining room is on the 5th floor and overlooks the lake; really a nice way to eat. The front desk folks were very friendly and helpful, and they all spoke English well. The building may be "grand" but the hotel is not. Definitely not 4* service. Caters mainly for tour coaches from Britain and Germany and it shows. No a la carte menu in the top floor restaurant. Breakfast buffet was poor and staff unhelpful - they have no idea what 4* service should be like. Next to bus stop, short walk to Villa Carlotta; clean, good service

this hotel was in a great location on the edge of lake como. we had a lake view room. breakfast was served up on the 5th floor with a gorgeous view. great room rate and very helpful staff. thank you.

We came for a romantic getaway and were really unpleasantly suprised by our standard room. The hotel's standard rooms are extremely old and dark with two beds pushed together instead of a double bed like we requested. After seeing 3 different standard rooms, we decided to upgrade to a sea view because the standard rooms were so bad. It cost us a lot […] to upgrade, but our new view was incredible. Rooms are small. Bathrooms are nice and clean. The view saved our experience. Hotel front desk staff was extremely rude and unhelpful, but breakfast staff was nice. Breakfast area had beautiful views and breakfast was decent. The location has views of Bellagio and easy access (5-10 minute walk) to the ferry ports to get to other towns. Not a lot going on in Cadennabia or nearby, but if you like walking, there is a nice footpath that takes you 3 km to Lenno, which was interesting. Lisätietoja

Clean pleasant hotel with excellent service from the staff. Its just a pity there was no room service. Only one restaurant with a set meal, although the restaurant along the road is very good. The pool is a little difficult to get to especially for anyone with walking difficulties. great parking next to hotel and free. get the breakfast and dinner if offered in the deal, otherwise can be expensive. nice location near the ferry to belagio. great tohave a lake view with balcony on the 2nd floor. rooms are typical smallish. front desk speaks english. lots of tour buses use the hotel, book early.

O hotel está perfeitamente localizado em frente ao lago di Como. Um bonita sacada com cadeiras e mesas, só não aproveitamos muito proque estava um pouco friozinho. Falta menu no quarto com preços das bebidas do frigobar e possivel serviços de restaurante. O café da manhã é ótimo e a vista da sala de café é impressionante também! Отель обладает некоторой пампезностью , которая к сожалению практически сошла на нет всвязи с общим плохим состоянием отеля. Конечно очень красивый вид на озеро из номеров и ресторано, но это единственный плюс.

Très bon rapport qualité/prix, 4 étoiles très touristique cependant; Lieu de villégiature de groupes d'anglais et d'américains, donc restauration à tendance quantitative mais pas "gourmet". Chambres et accueil tout à fait satisfaisants, terrasses remarquables, en revanche l'entretien de la piscine laisse un peu à désirer. Idéal pour les familles.

Lovley old absolutley charming hotel by beautiful lake Como. The hotel could use some renovating, but the price was ok and we loved it. We stayed in Cardenabbia for four nights, in a great room whit a large private terass with wiew over the lake and a very cool modern bathroom. The location is just fine, it is easy to go by bus or boat when exploring […] the villages and small towns around the lake. Breakfast was ok, but I could have wished for a larger selection. The elevators were very slow and went up and down several time before you reached the right floor. There were a lot of elderly people but also families and couples. The staff was nice and helpful. The internet connection was bad. If you are looking for a charming, old classy place close to the lake and dont mind its a bit run down you should defenitly go here! Lisätietoja

...richtige Auswahl getroffen. Abstriche muss man allerdings hinsichtlich des eintönigen Frühstücksbuffets machen (jedenfalls bei mehrtägigem Aufenthalt (wir:6 Tage)). Für uns kam auch Lunch im Hotel nicht in Frage (nur 5 Gänge- Menü=35.-€ & Massenabfertigung). Im unmittelbarem Umfeld des Hotels bieten sich allerdings ausreichende Alternativen.

Le service d'accueil est très impersonnel, ainsi que les réponses aux demandes de renseignements. Le petit déjeuner n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 4 étoiles

Excellente situation et grand confort. Belle exposition de sculptures dans le hall et les salons Parking devant l'hôtel. Jardin de la villa Carlotta qui touche le terrain de lhôtel Route un peu bruyante devant. Piscine très agréable Restaurant au 5ème avec une vue superbe

Un seul problème mais de taille: le BRUIT côté lac lié à la circulation incessante des véhicules.

Das Hotel liegt sehr gut. Man kann alle Sehenswürdigkeiten perfekt mit den Fähren, die unmittelbar in der Nähe losfahren, erreichen. Das Nachbargrundstück ist die Villa Charlotta, mit einem wundervollen Garten. Preisleistungshotel ok. Rezeption fachkundig und informativ. Frühstück umfangreich. Zimmer waren eher hoch als breit (Raumhöhre gefühlte 5 m). […] Balkon auf der See riesig, aber direkt an der Straße und daher sehr laut. ! Größtes Manko sind die Better. Federkern und keine guten Zudecken, ist aber in Italien wohl überall so! Also Isomatte mitnehen und aufm Boden schlafen mit eigenem Schlafsack. Lisätietoja

Bel hôtel bien situé prôche de lembarcadère pour le Bellagio et touche le domaine de la villa carlotta. Le prix me semble excessif par rapport aux prestations fournies, à l'entretien et à la taille des chambres. Vi var nöjda med vår vistelse, framför allt med den magnifika utsikten från både vår altan och den trevliga baren med stor altan.

Hotel très bien placé, proche des embarcadères et de la Villa Carlotta. Belle piscine et nombreux transats autour. Solarium et restaurant sur le toit avec vue panoramique sur le lac. Chose surprenante : la déco des chambres est très "épurée" pour un hotel de ce standing... Bref, hotel très bien pour une petit escapade sur le lac de Come.

Fantastiskt vackert läge, där man kan samla sina tankar och bara njuta och reflektera. Utsikten från hotellets soldäck och restaurang är magnifik. Servicen håller mycket hög klass.
