Oceanview Motel - Wildwood Crest

It probably was a nice motel in 1960.

We were afraid to touch anything, table was sticky and we had to clean - towels were gray from age and when you got in bed you rolled to the hole in the middle........ Would not recommend this hotel, only saving grace was a great view of the ocean,.

This was our 2nd year staying at this little seashore gem, that we discovered, accidently. Old-time seashore motel at the beach, mildew-smell, as expected. Did NOT appreciate the horrible smell of cat urine, on the sofa. No amt of air freshener/candles could hide that smell. Our Favorite part is the Sat nite fireworks every Sat nite in The Crest, right […] across from our seats outside of our room. Lots of families & other adults celebrating the wearin' of the Green,too! we stayed there for irish weekend. we are planning to go back next summer. they had piped in music outside. a mini golf course and a bbq hut. the pool is beautiful and the room was very clean and comfortable.

I was very disappointed in the condition of the rooms. The one bed and sofa smelled of urine to the point of having to cover the sofa with a sheet to feel at all comfortable. The in room AC units literally dripped condensation onto to carpet, everything in the room felt damp and had a musty smell. There was literally mold growing on the picture in the […] living area behind the glass. The drawers in the bedroom and the kitchen do not look as if they were cleaned all season. Had this not been a holiday weekend I would have left within the first 10 minutes of getting to the room. I do again want to reiterate that the staff was very warm and courteous. We did stay through the weekend however barring some major renovations, I will not stay there again. It’s a shame, it’s location to the beach and boardwalk are awesome. We had a real good time all 4 of us + hope to go back hopefully in the next 2 years. with friends & family. Great view - nice location - relaxing atmosphere! Weather was great & people are always accommodating. Hope to go fishing next time! Sly & Celine

Evidently, the moon was out...blood on bedding...take your own bedding. Linen a little brown/grey. We stayed in a suite...

This hotel was very far from everything but the beach! If you want to get good food, or go to the boardwalk you have to drive and pay for parking somewhere else. The furniture was stained. We loved the Oceanview motel, yes is not a 5 star place, but is a clean motel full of activities, all designed to bring the family together, my kids had a great time, the pool was clean and the location is perfect. We are looking foward to come back next year.

Rooms ESPECIALLY bathrooms need upgrading. The Remote control & key CASH deposit should have been a tip-off, but we were still optimistic...until the carpeting in front of the door squished underfoot as we entered; both double beds sank nearly to the floor when we sat on them; and brushing our teeth at the bathroom sink made us feel as though we were […] visiting a pre-school. AND OUR ROOM WAS AMONG THE MOST EXPENSIVE! The one positive note was that the front-desk staff were personable and accommodating... until we called about an unintentionally left-behind item and then we did not even receive the courtesy of a return call (as promised). Pros: On the beach, front desk employees were helpful, decent price for beachfront Cons: AC Unit was dripping on love seat in room, bedroom window vibrated all night, bathroom door vibrated all night, ran out of hot water on a daily basis, have to pay for Internet access, no coffee makers

I paid a lot of money for a room that i thought that was going to have two double beds and a decent view, however when i found my room it was under the stair case were people were running up and down all night and there was only one bed and the lock on the door was broke i do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was disgusting. Smelled horrible, like mold. Garbage was under the beds. Internet BARLEY WORKED. A floor above me was playing music INSANELY LOUD and the front desk wouldn't do anything about it until 11:00 P.M. DO NOT STAY HERE. IT IS WORTH IT TO STAY AT A MORE EXPENSIVE HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I REPEAT, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Although not dirty, the rooms were very unwelcoming. Booked for two nights, would up checking out the same day as we checked in.

Although the hotel is outdated the rooms were clean and the staff was very pleasant and helpful.

I am sorry to say I had a horrible experience at the Ocean View Motel in Wildwood. The service at check in was horrible I had to wait while the phones were answered seemed like not enought help at the front desk. The room had a not so nice odor and the beds were so uncofortable I had the worse sleep ever in my life I probably would have been more confortable […] on the floor. This is the place for family friendliness. Pool has two sides. One for children and the other for adults. Right on the beach. Staff were nice. There is an arcade center and a mini golf area. So the down side is its old. The temp in the room can not be altered. But if you are looking for a few night stay its not bad.

We were completely satisfied with our stay at the Ocean View Motel. I would recommend it to anyone. We were very impressed with the location - it was very central to many activities.

I stayed in this motel for only 1 light as we were going to be in the area for a short period of time and this motel was the 1st one that had direct walk to the beach without having to cross any type of road. The room walls show the room has not been renovated in a long long time, the good thing is that everything else has been replaced from time to time. Hotel was convenient to everything and located in the quieter part of town. Hotel sits right on the beach with a great view of the ocean as well as an unobstructed view of downtown Wildwood and the lights of the boardwalk . Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful . in all i am satisfied of my stay,but found it weird to put a $20.00 deposit for keys and a tv remote.i felt as if i was going to leave without giving back their stuff.....i have stayed in hotels all over the U.S.A. and this was a first for me ..... I will start off and say the area of the hotel is really nice. And for a last minute hotel booking, it was convenient and price good. But the hotel smelled musty, the rooms were outdated and unclean. I just did not feel comfortable sitting down or touching anything in the bedroom. Needs major renovations!

The overall experience at this motel was good. The rooms are clean and the cleaning staff may run past 3 pm some days. Our beds (2nd floor) were very hard and uncomfortable, the only bad point of the stay. The beach view is great and a slow walk to the boardwalk is only 8-10 minutes away. There are several restaurants within walking distant, plenty of parking, and the front desk is very eager to help. The moonlight ocean view was amazing. We had the best time! Couldnt have asked for more friendly staff! We arrived a little early and they allowed us to check in early! It was great! The pool area was a dream and the hotel is right on the beach! Who needs anything else! I look forward to spending a week at oceanview motel this august!

Hotel was out dated (1960's), refrigerator was dirty, tile floor in kitchen area was slippery especially since it was installed outside the bathroom. The balcony railings were plastic. The staff was extremely nice. We have been to Wildwood in the past and the staff has always been rude. The room was as expected in wildwood. it was outdated however it was clean and everything worked. The rest of the hotel was clean and in working order. We will stay here again

the hotel is not clean and you get some weird smell the moment you enter the room and the rooms are very small

It was a last minute choice to book a room on hotels.com. It was mother's day and we decided to do an overnighter. With the help of hotels.com we book a room and was very satisfied with the outcome.

rates aren't expensive, yet it's not the nicest of the nice. If your looking for a quick weekend vacation needing somewhere to sleep this works out. There's grills a pool a deck and its right on the beach. Wouldn't stay any longer then a weekend.

I wouldn't stay here again. They should be ashamed of what they charged me for the two nights we spent there. The room had this musty smell. It was damp and just had a dirty feeling about it. Stayed there this weekend as a last minute option. The room though a little out dated served its purpose, had a little living room area with 2 couches and a table, and the bedroom was seperate. Not a 5 star hotel, but if going to the shore just looking for a place to stay this place is not all that bad.

Right on the beach, perfect location. Pool and mini golf course very good. Bathroom needs some repair work. lighting can be better. Good for a last minute option.

One night stay at hotel was very disappointing. The room was outdated, dirty and overpriced. Location is good but I would recommend looking into other hotels in the area. There are many to choose from.
