Ocean Drive Beach & Golf Resort - North Myrtle Beach

As soon as I got their the lady at the front desk changed my room. She tricked me she offered me a room higher up but it was the wrong kind of room. I reserved a oceanfront suite and I was given a small room and they would not let me change back to my original room when I told them I was suppose to have a suite she told me that was a suite. Online it […] said the suite would sleep 6 people the room they changed me to barely slept 4. My husband had a stroke and he was not feeling good on the morning of our departure, so I asked for an extra hour before we had to check out. I was told by the front desk clerk who was very rude that NO you can not because housekeeping said we had to be out of there by 11. I found a housekeeper and asked her for a little extra time and she said that would be fine. Also it was stated online they had a roll in shower thats one of the reasons I choose that hotel so it would be easy for my husband to take a shower and it did not and when I called the front desk she said WHO TOLD YOU WE HAD A ROLL IN SHOWER? WELL WE DON'T AND WAS SOOO RUDE ABOUT IT WHEN I EXPLAINED TO HER ONLINE IT WAS STATED THE SUITE HAD THAT FEATURE. Lisätietoja

Clean worth considering, convenient to what you need.

Clogged toilet flooded the room. Re-located to new room and the noise outside the room went on until after 1:00 am. Front desk apathetic to our problems.

We stayed at this hotel during the winter and the price could not be beat. The room was clean and we had an awsome view of the ocean. The only problem was that the elevators were broken during the time of checkout and everyone in the hotel was using the only elevator working (the srvice elevator). Hotel was great, friendly staff aswell. Need better beds. They were way too stiff. Other than that... no complaints. I would stay here again.

We had a great time,only complaint is the master bed is not beach side ! The living area was.. And rooms are not very sound proof. But indoor pool was very nice as was indoor hot tub. Beds were comfortable and it was nice to have a full size fridge for all picnic food.

WANTED TO GET AWAY FOR A FEW DAYS AND CAME ACROSS THIS HOTEL. THIS IS ONE THE NICEST HOTELS AROUND...I WILL DEFINETLY GO BACK!!...jUST REMEMBER THEY WILL CHARGE YOU A RESORT FEE UPON CHECK-IN..BUT IT'S NOT BAD JUST 7.60 PER DAY...

I was very satisfyed with the hotel and facilities. I had a fantastic Beach view from my window.The only complaint I had is the the Cleanlyness in the room could be more detaled. .

An old hotel trying to keep up but not doing a very good job of it. Low water pressure was frustrating even with very few hotel guests. Little hot water available on Sunday morning. Heat was inadequate; air was blowing almost constantly but it was not warm. We reserved a suite with king bed and were given two double beds instead. Very uncomfortable […] beds. Front desk would not make a change once we checked in and examined the room. Suite was located adjacent to elevator used by cleaning crew so it was very noisy as they came and went in morning. Lobby had a dank smell. To allow room for murphy bed, there was very little furniture in "living area" so the tiny loveseat was the only furniture and it was very uncomfortable. Excellent location to all our favorite site in OD. Clean, friendly, all the amenities one could want on a vacation.

First time I'd ever been in this hotel and the location is perfect. We only needed to walk to the beach, bars, and shopping..... awesome

My partner and I just enjoyed a nice stay at this hotel. The staff were all very friendly, the facilities clean and the view: spectacular. I would recommend this location to anyone.

Everything was great. The only thing I did not like was the $15.00 "resort" fee I had to pay when I checked in. I was not told about this when I booked thru Hotels'com.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. Friendly staff and very willing to help. Gave suggestions for restaurants as well. I will be back!

My only complaint is the beds were slightly softer than the floor. The oceanfront view was fantastic (ie sunrise, breeze, and sound of the ocean)..

My wife and I stayed at Ocean Drive and Golf Resort and enjoyed every moment. The room was very clean and the view of the ocean fantastic from the balcony. The location of the Resort was within walking distance to main street North Myrtle Beach. It's a great place for children as well, lots for them to do. We will stay there again.

Overall the hotel was okay. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The staff was very helpful. It had rained really hard the day we arrived and the carpet on the balcony was soaked. The water even came in under the door and soaked the carpet on the inside of the room around the door. It stayed this way for a couple of days. Most of the parking […] is across the street. My recent stay at Ocean Drive B & Resort was spectacular!! The staff was friendly, the room was clean. The beds were comfortable. I was there with my sister for two nights to do some after Christmas shopping. I was warned about the resort fee in one of these reviews. Still, I plan to come back in February!! WR

Good location. We had a loud room, changed to extend a day and was much better. Good for price. Do not go Duffys Seafood.. Horrible food, horrible service, overcharged and didn't care. Hotel is good.. Spanish Galleon and breakfast place not bad, but rarely open.

I had 1 thing that needed to be addressed, and had it taken care of within 30 mins. I told my daughter about the Hotel, and she stayed for 2 days.

FIRST CLASS IN EVERY RESPECT!

Our room was right at the elevator very disturbing with the beeping of the elevator all through the night. When we checked in they were painting in the hallway and the paint fumes were on the strong side the first night. Very small bathroom. No comfortable seating in the room. We only had one difficulty and that was when we arrived at the hotel. We were charge a resort fee of $7.60 which was unexpected. Other than that it was a pleasant stay

The fifth floor was very cold in the hallways and the generator noise was annoying. The staff was nice. The ocean view was beautiful.

Great location, my boyfriend and I spent the weekend of his birthday here and we had a great time. The staff was pleasant but be prepared to pay a nominal resort fee when you arrive. They took care of whatever i needed like a wine opener etc. They have an indoor jacuzzi and pool, restaurant and nightclub. For the very low price that I paid during the […] winter season the room had a beautiful oceanfront view. Plenty of things to do and restaurants within reasonable driving/walkingdistance. We will definitely go back. Parking was ok. We had to park across the street most of the time but there is plenty of parking surrounding the area. Only negative was the bathroom sink was stopped up and my remote wasnt working but they took care of the remote ASAP and I forgot to report that the sink was clogged. And it smells like a nursing home in the lobby lol (my bf said it is because of all of the old people that were there- no offense to any elderly people)! Went in December expecting that my purchase for this room through hotel.com included all cost. We were hit with a resort fee that hotel.com had not pointed out. It should have been in as a foot note to the cost. Not hidden in the fine print at the bottom. Why a resort fee in the winter with the pools drained and not actives at the resort. We enjoyed all the amenities and being right at the beach. The location and weather were perfect!!!!

Great location on beach in North Myrtle Beach, lots of little bars/cafes within walking distance of hotel. Unaware of extra Resort tax charged at checkin. Currently $7.60/night as of 30 Nov 11. And this is the off season.

Room smelled the tv was so hold you couldnt hook a game to it i asked the assitent manager about another room he said he would let me know and never got back to me even after he seen me time and time again and they charged another 7 dollars a night no one told me about

our other problem was the beds were extremely hard ,but otherwise very nice place to stay

We add days to our stay ,Randall at the front desk was able to adjust rooms to keep us in our very nice ocean front room ,

We loved the room overlooking the beach & the price was great. Some rooms only have a sideways view from their balconies though.

stayed the week of oct 16th/21 about 20 mins from airport right on beach a 5 mins to shopping and resterants would go back again

We stayed in late October for three nights. The room was nice, although when we got there they had us in a double bed instead of a queen and it was right above the pool area so we wouldn't have been able to have any privacy on the balcony so I called and they switched us to the 6th floor king!! Great hotel and location. Convenient to the beach and restaurants. The bed was a bit uncomfortable but everything else was perfect. The hotel has a $15 fee upon check-in. I wasn't clear what that covered but didn't care.

The room was conveniently located just around the corner from the registration desk, however we were on the ground floor and our "Ocean Front Suite" view was very limited. On Check-In, we were charged an extra "Resort Fee" but within 15 minutes of check in when we were going through the hotel, they were locking up that part of the hotel.
