I searched for hotels near Rehoboth Beach. AmericanInn Lodge came up listed as <2 miles "from the beach". In fact is it 25 miles/41 min from Rehoboth and 2 miles from some small no-name beach. On another note-- the beds were the worst of any hotel I have ever been in.... both days we woke up with terrible back aches and 1st night we tossed and turned […] trying to get comfortable. Clean, comfortable and convenient. The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained (though the hot tub does need repainting - paint was chipped). I like that there are no kids in the pool area between 10 p.m. - 12 a.m. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Staff very helpful and on top of replenishing and cleaning the breakfast. Great location, very polite and helpful staff, clean. Good rate

Very restful, clean; more amenities than we needed for a one night stay and more expensive than we like to pay for one short night, but sometimes it's just worth it to relax in comfortable surroundings. We would highly recommend this lodge to anyone visiting or passing through Delaware.

We stayed here while visting family in the area and found it to be a comfortable location. It is fairly far from the beach, but not an inconvenient location to visit the beaches or to shop at the outlets. We would stay here again.

The hotel was past my expectations. I would recommend it to anyone. This not the Ritz Carlton but also not with the expense. In the info it stated no breakfast, but there was a nice one. was clean and good breakfast

My stay was very nice. Staff was very friendly and personal, They were also very knowledgeable about beaches not far from the hotel.

We were so impressed with our room, the hotel staff and the breakfast buffett - we will definitely stay there again and bring the grandchildren next time Thank you

My only cons are the distance from Lewes beach and the price, though I did the reservation close to the Memorial holiday. It was not a chain I knew, but had a reasonable price. The breakfast was better than the average continental breakfast. It was well amintained and staff were very friendly with the kids.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay. Hotel personnel were friendly and helpful although all we needed from them was info a couple of times. There were no problems to be fixed or things we needed that weren't there - everything was there and in good order. What stuck out to me most was the AC in the room. The room was always just right - didn't have the […] get too cold and then too hot cycle you usually go through with hotel type of units. And seemed much quieter than normal, too. We didn't hear any noise during our time in the room. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub which were in very good condition. Also, the first evening there we walked to the El Tonalteca Mexican restaurant that was nearby and really enjoyed our meal there. We are from the West plus have spend time in Mexico (not at the resorts) and really like good Mexican food which this was. The second night we had dinner at The Georgia House which was also excellent. A perfect evening on there lovely patio with great food that was offered in normal or small servings. We really liked this as we're trying to cut back on over eating. Food and service were impeccable. We would definitely recommend this hotel and the mentioned restaurants. This was a good hotel for the value. It was conveniently located to the highway and town. The continential breakfast was very good. The only downside was that the front desk was not continuously manned and several times I had to hunt for and call for an employee to ask a question.

This comfortable hotel provides you with proximity to both the Delaware beaches and the Rehoboth malls so that if you are traveling far, it is a good place to stop and rest before heading to the beach

Hotel was clean throughout, and our room was spacious. Queen size beds were comfortable. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Nice selection of food at breakfast. The only negative was the corridors to the rooms were a little warm and muggy. The hotel did have fans going in the corridors, but the temperature outside was in the upper 90's, […] so the fans created a breeze but didn't do much to help cool those areas.
