"Quiet Surroundings"
We very much enjoyed our stay, including the nature trails, which were both scenic and invigorating (hilly!).

Only issue was booked king room and received dual queen. Aside from that the staff was tremendously helpful and pleasant. Rooms well accomodated and the continental breakfast was delicious. Will stay there again.

Rooms small-ish with even smaller-ish windows, comfy bed, clean enough, hair dryer didn't work, hallway was smelly (though room did not smell). Neighborhood is an awful small-industrial area, though there are plenty of restaurants not far away. Rooms were a bit shabby. The sheets were stained and did not look clean. Room was changed by management without a problem.

While our king bed room was not ready upon arrival, they quickly arranged for a double queen which was very satisfactory. Breakfast was decent but I would not recommend the waffles as the gridle did not fully cook them, Bacon was perfect as was sausage,

The hotel was spotless and when the guests in the neighboring room were speaking too loudly in the evening the manager promptly accomodated my request for a new room. Add to that a nice complimentary breakfast and wonderful views, this is probably the nicest place to stay in the area.

had stayed at this hotel before. This time it was just a couple of days after the flooding from Hurriucane Irene. The hotel needs some serious renovations, mattress way to soft, . the king bed barely fit in the room .
I do apologize that your stay with us was not as comfortable as you had anticipated. All of our guest rooms are furnished with a Sealy Ultra Plush Euro Pillow Top mattress. I am sorry this was too soft for your taste. Most of our traditional king bedrooms are on the cozy side with the anticipation that most guests do not spend much time in their room. We do offer several larger options including rooms with two queen beds, king fireplace rooms, Homestead Suites and a few deluxe suites. Thank you for your valuable feedback.

Thrilled to see the area has saved a beautiful old IBM mansion. Accomodations were excellent. Facility has been restored, high end finishes for a local hotel. "Nothing to rave about"
Stayed there one night and room smelled of mildew. You can open the window but there are no screens so mosquitoes can get in. Bed was not that comfortable either. That was a reward night and that was wasted.

The room was not as clean as could be when I arrived. There was sugar on the coffee tray from the last guest. Toiletries were not replaced for the second day. The breakfast buffet had no condiments for the eggs and there were no napkins. Tea varieties were more abundant in the lobby than in the restaurant. The water for the tea both days was not hot […] enough to brew the tea. Wireless internet was not working in the West Wing and was led to believe that this was a new issue. I was given at CAT 5 cable and to my amazement, found another in the room when I got upstairs. Obviously, this was not a new problem. "Tradition at the Glen - just as it implies"
This hotel is certainly a "tradtion" of quality and gentility. It is a gem for the area - very comfortable, serene and quiet in a beautiful setting. Even though several events were being held here, there was absolutely no commotion and my stay was restful.
It was a pleasent stay for our family. The staff was very friendly and helpful, environment was refreshing and relaxing. Building had character, rooms were tastefully decorated and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Nothing bad to say about. We'd definitely stay there again if we visit the same neighbourhood.
"Poor management"
We arrived at the hotel at our requested early check-in time, with a toddler and about 2 1/2 hours to prepare for a wedding. No effort was made to have the maid clean our rooms next, and after about an hour's wait, I went up to see the rooms and personally asked the maid to prepare our rooms next. She had no idea that this had been requested. We waited […] another hour before only one of the rooms was ready. We felt this was very poor management, as well as no apparent soundproofing between the banquet hall, with a noisy wedding, and our rooms right above the hall. We have shared your comments with the team. We have also made some changes to the team and management. We have held a few training sessions to refresh our expectations of customer service. I do understand that waiting for a guest room especially with a little one is stressful. Our team very diligently tries to accommodate all early arrival requests, but sometimes we fall short of this expectation. It is true that during some special events such as a wedding that a few guest rooms may hear some of the music from the festivities. This is an old restored estate so the rooms are smaller than most hotels,however,it was so homey and comfortable. "No Service & they didn't care"
We stayed there two nights. Upon arriving back at our room after the first night we found the room had not been made up. When we told the girl at the front desk, here reply was "I will leave a note with the supervisor. No attempt to make the beds, pick up dirty towels empty the waste baskets, or replace the coffee. Nice hotel!! And great breakfast!!
Hotel is just outside Endicott, NY. A former IBM conference center it is a throw back to the best of the fifties. The dinner was reasnonably priced and very good. The grounds themselves were great but the nearby empty IBM plants, so right there, were depressing. "JC Hotel"
Excellent accomodations in every way. Breakfest bar was well supplied with good selections. Airconditioning in room was very confortable and ran very quite. Staff was very accomodating in every aspect. I highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I have stayed at Traditions last year. My Husbands best friend had his wedding there! It was wonderful! The rooms are comfortable and always clean, staff always friendly and inviting, and the grounds are beautiful!! We always are glad to have a reason to stay!

This is a great place with a lot of history, build in the 1940's as a country club and training center for IBM it has trasitioned into a very nice place to stay. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The Breakfast that they includes in the price was one of the better ones that I have had in my travels. This is not a hotel stay but being at home with friends. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and there to make everything perfect. The restaurant offered a dinner that was superb and of the highest quality while presented and served professionally. We thought we were in a special New York City steak house, from the filet mignon, shrimp, crab cakes, […] and selec minature vegetables. The rooms were well furnished, great mattresses, and quiet. The grounds and walking trails were unexpected but very welcome. THE PLACE to unwind, relax, and if you are a golfer enjoy a splendid course. "Excellent in all respects....a distinctive place!"
I was traveling on business and I typically use a Comfort Suites or a Marriott hotel (Residence Inn, Courtyard or full service Marriott).....decided to try this. This was a great choice.....located on a beautiful hillside overlooking the city with a nice golf course and great hiking throught "the Glen".....yet very very close to a large mall and nifty […] Wegmans grocery store (try it....great food court inside). Clean, nicely appoointed, and great service. Staff service and professionalism was the equal of a full scale Marriott hotel. I was a little concerned the description suggested internet was only available in public areas....but I had a great wireless signal in my room allowing me to conduct business online. We stayed at this resort for the first time on Saturday March 19, 2011, the night of the SUPERMOON! It was beautiful and so is this place! The front desk manager Chris was very helpful as was the female bartender/server. Dinner was just OK. Standard rooms are NYC small so if you want space, get an upgrade. "A disappointment"
This was a special “just because” gift from my husband. We should have known we were in trouble when we ordered two large sodas at the bar, got two glasses of ice and a drop of soda for $4.00. Unfortunately, the room was small and HOT. Nothing we did could cool it down. We notified the service desk in the morning that it was 79 degrees in our room. […] She attempted to adjust it, but maintenance wasn’t available until after we checked out. The electrical outlet for our laptop was behind the desk, so we had to move the desk. For breakfast, served 7-10 we arrived at 8:30 to no eggs, no bacon and no replacements until long after we settled for toast, fruit and yogurt. Probably healthier, but not what we wanted. The hotel used to be the IBM resort for the employees for training, award getaways, etc. I grew up here and it was nice to see that this landmark had been converted to a wonderful resort. We truly enjoyed our stay at this resort. We took full advantage of the Spa at this resort and our family agreed that this spa is one of the top three we have been […] to. The Sunday brunch was delicious and a wide variety of food items. We brought our extended family for brunch and the wait staff we attentive and very personable. Everyone at this resort/hotel were very pleasant, accommodating, and helpful in every way. It was a great getaway for me and my husband while in town for the holidays and family get togethers. We highly recommend that you stay here instead of the chain hotels in the area. It sits on a hill overlooking the previous golf course and you have a view of the hills in the area and the glen is here for walking trails. We can't wait to return and stay here again. Lisätietoja

The area around this hotel was beautiful, as well as the hotel itself: a pleasant surprise. We thought the evening on-the-property restaurant staff was very pleasant and helpful. The food was fresh and reasonably priced. The front desk staff, although adequate, were less than welcoming.
"Nice but Less than Expected"
After seeing the photos online and reading the reviews I was expecting quite a lot. While the hotel is beautiful and was comfortable, I thought the room would be a bit bigger, a bit more luxurious. We were also disappointed in the restaurant which was really just a few tables and a bar and very expensive and limited menu next to a loud party room (there […] was a wedding). We didn't try the spa, but that did look great. The woman at check-in wasn't especially gracious, though the woman at check-out was. AND like a previous guest, who also reviewed this hotel above, we got the room next to the stairwell.
