"Off Season Vacation"
The hotel was very nice and staff very friendly and helpful. I planned poorly and so most of the boardwalk venues were closed due to being off-season; however we made the most of it and the hotel was very attentive to our needs.

Main thing is this room was a blast. Star Lux does Doo Wop perfectly. Plus everything was very well maintained - to the point where it was hard to tell the age of the hotel. It was like a trip to the '50s The Doo Wop theme was consistent, from the main office down to the soap and shampoos. I'll definitely stay there again.
"Pretty ok stay..."
Ok, when we first drove up, my husband was thinking "what did my wife get me into this time" because the outside is quite the "motel". The inside however was clean, and nice. Breakast was nominal...just a few pastries and bagels but there was always coffee and tea. The staff was ok, the 2 guys were nicer than the lady...who acted like she couldn't be […] bothered, but she too had some times of "niceness". We took the bikes down to the beach and besides the basketball tournament at the civic center, the place was a ghost town. But we were really there for the historic part, so it was ok. "the Star;ux,Wildwwod"
It was clean, the management was friendly. The beds were listed as full ( but not as wide as my full bed at home). The rooms are adequate, but there is not a lot of floor space. Two people can not walk past the bed at the same time. The bathroom was very clean and I liked the layout. The heat worked extremely well, we had a bad draft under the door, […] but just laid down a towel and it took care of it. Could of used another chair, we brought the outside chair in. We had a bad storm or I might of tried out the hot tub....didn't know they one..not in listing for hotel. We were thankful for an end room. "A bit dissapointed"
An all night drunk neighbor made the experience less than enjoyable. I have, however, no complaints about the staff and we did appreciate the bikes hotel guests can borrow to ride along the boardwalk.

Really fun and funky hotel. The staff was very friendly and made us feel at home. They were very welcoming to our young children. I would definitely stay here again.

It was a pretty nice but my stay was in winter time so the surrounding areas were ghost towns. But it would be a great summer time place. Staff very wonderful!

Stayed at the Starlux for son's graduations from Coast Guard. Very clean, cute rooms for older hotel. Well stocked with extras-pillows, blanket, shampoo etc. Pool area looked like very nice, but weather was too cool. Enjoyed riding free bikes along the boardwalk.

We were very happy with the accommodations at the Starlux. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly. Even though it wasn't pool weather, the pool was very inviting. "Starlux Hotel, Wildwood, NJ"
This is my first stay at this hotel. I picked this place for the location, as we were going to the Wildwood Convention center 2 nights in a row. It is a 5 minute walk to the Convention Center and the staff was so friendly and helpful and the rooms and shared areas of the hotel were very clean. I highly recommend this hotel.

"Cute Place, Great Location"
When my husband and I decided to book a last minute trip to Cape May and found no availabilty, I found the Starlux. It was a pleasant surprise. "Hotel in wildwood New Jersey"
The bathroom was so small I could barely use it. I`m heavy, yes, but my 6` tall son could not be comfortable in it and he`s skinny. It just wasn`t nearly as nice as I thought it would be and we checked out others that were alot nicer and found them to be cheaper. After we got there and saw what we had.

It's a funky little hotel consistent with the Wildwoods "doo wop" theme. My room was one of the 2-bedroom corner units, it was clean, the bathroom was simple but gracious in size. "Will stay here again."
The Starlux is a nice retro type of hotel. We only stayed one night this time but would definatly go back and stay more than one night. Is very convenient to the boardwalk and restaurants.

Only 2 blocks from beach and boardwalk! Office staff very helpful with recommendations and information. Pool was very clean! Buckets for the beach, bikes, dvd's were available for use for no additonal charge! Great place to stay!

We spent one night here while in Wildwood. It was very clean, the staff was wonderful and we got a continential breakfast that we were not expecting. It appeared to have been upgraded recenlty, like within the last year, but everything appeared clean and well kept. My only problem was with the shower in the morning and I just could not get the temperature […] to stay the same, so my shower left a little bit to be desired, but the stay itself was perfect. "Starlux"
It was much smaller than we were expecting, but met our needs. The staff was helpful and allowed us into our room early, despite the 3 check in. Rooms were clean but everything always felt damp. To be expected at the beach though. Pool was fantastic, very short walk to the beach. An overall good experience.

Got here on a Friday and water was brown. Thought since hotel was closed all winter that this would pass. Brown water all weekend. Sheets and pillowcases felt like sandpaper. "Home by the Sea"
When I made a reservation with this Hotel I didn,t expect it would be as close to the Ocean as it is. It,s really a great location. My visit to Wildwood N.J. was just an overnight that was part of an Easter dinner with Family. Having a newborn My Wife and I decided we would stay overnight rather than drive back to Philadelphia. After checkout time we […] spent the afternoon in the immediate area walking the boardwalk and viewing the Ocean that is still a cold 56 degrees and has nobody swimming in it just yet. In just a couples months that will change as the water warms. Then it,s on as thousands flock to the beach and water. The Starlux is in the perfect location. I know the rates of course will change as will the season. I would stay for a week if I could get the rate I had for my overnight stay. We stayed there for Cape May Marathon. The location is fine. There are things within walking distance. It was offseason, so most places were not open. My husband needed a quick reservation as he was doing work on our summer trailer. Hotels.com came through again with flying colrs. Hotel was nearby. Very accomidating and a great price for what we needed. Thanks for the help.

The Starlux hotel in Wildwood, New Jersey was surprisingly clean and well decorated. We loved the lava lamps and the cool 50's decor! Centrally located and close to the Wildwood Convention Center, this hotel is perfect for those vacationing or attending an event.

"Art Deco Hotel - close to the convention center."
We went to Wildwood for a concert. I chose the Starlux because it was only 2 blocks from the concert, and the rates were very reasonable. We were very pleased with the stay. I don't remember seeing an Art Deco style hotel outside of Vegas. The room was very clean and very comfortable. The staff very helpful. I liked having a separate bedroom and having […] two TVs. There was a complete kitchenette with fridge, microwave, dishes, glasses. Completely stocked. It's in a good area right across the street from the beach. And right down the street from the Wildwood Convention Center. Gorgeous pool and hot tub. We didn't swim, but people were in there. Very clean. The value exceeded the cost by quite a bit. The perfect hotel in the perfect location for people who love retro hotels! Close proximity to the beach and boardwalk. Room clean and attractive although small but very comfortable. would recommend to others.
"not worth the money or the hassle"
This hotel was dirty and uncomfortable and I actually spent more to upgrade to a better room. I wish I had just paid more for a better hotel. Maid service was terrible, breakfast was a joke and most of the staff was not friendly. Furniture was uncomfortable and missing padding in the chair.

The hotel was very clean and well-appointed. Other hotels and motels in the area appear very run-down, but the renovation at the Starlux clearly makes it superior in the market. Friendly, attentive staff, free continental breakfast, nice pool area. Overall, a very positive stay.
