Ocean view from the 3rd floor room was nice, well worth the minimal cost. Laughed when we read reviews about hair dryer popping the circuit breaker but then it happened to us. Not so funny running out of hot water during showers either.

WE had a wonderful time.the rooms were very clean. The personal were very friendly, what ever er need they would of their to see if they could satisfy you.

The location is close to the bay shops and restaurants. It is an older building and has been upgraded a bit, but you get what you pay for. The TV was outdated and the refrigerator buzzed so loud I unplugged it. All in all it worked for a one night stay, but I will pay a little more next time.

We enjoyed our one-night stay. While a bit sparsely decorated, the room was larger than we expected for a room with two queens. The beds were super and the office staff person was nice and helpful, with a great recommendation for breakfast.

I stayed in a lovely ocean view room with a fireplace. Who has a fireplace in a hotel room? It was exactly what I wanted for a weekend getaway. The location was great - just a couple of blocks from the waterfront, and also near Main Street.

The facility is non smoking, however when we first walked in the room it smelt of smoke really bad, however, it was the fireplace, never smelt one that bad though! The bed was comfortable, although in my opinion the pillows were horrible. When using the towel after a shower I found several very long hairs on the towel - I have short hair. Then my husband […] noticed the same length of hair in the bath along with plenty of others. I was disgusted, it was just gross. Then there was no hair dryer, found out it is on request only - what hotel does that these days? When we complained to the manager and his wife? she became defensive about the hair on the towel saying it happens with long hair, I can understand that, but why was the hair also in the bath. Too much of a coincidence, therefore my conclusion is the towel and the bath was not cleaned. We only stayed the next night because it was already paid for. My husband tried to get into the spa/pool with the room key, the key wouldn't work, so he went to ask about it, they had to open it manually - why? The next morning we had a hair dryer and starting using it and the electric breaker went out, so we had no electricity what so ever, so my hair was only half dry. I am not one to complain, but this was a pretty bad stay. Needless to say we won't be staying here again. There is a Rodeway down the road, which is a lot cheaper and cleaner. Lisätietoja

The hotel was fine for an overnight stay, however, I felt that the price was a bit high for what was available. The walls are very thin. We could hear all talking, snoring and televisions through all the walls. There was no hair dryer in any of the room and no one was in the front office at 6:45 am on a Saturday morning for assistance. The clerk at […] check in was very nice. The place was ok. I think a bit over priced for how outdated the carpet and bedspread were. There was no hair dryer.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this clean and comfortable room for a very reasonable price!

Location was great. Staff very friendly. Rooms were clean. No fans in room and it got very stuffy. That was the only real problem. And it has no elevator and we were on the third floor. That sucked.

Impressed with the friendliness of the staff and loved the 3rd floor room with fireplace and the spectacular view of Morro Rock. Unbeatable price and a clean room.

Being a woman traveling by herself, I was a little nervous about having to get a hotel somewhere, but I knew I wanted to stop at Morro Bay for the night as close to the rock as possible. The fact that the room had a fireplace and I could get a great deal for it on hotels.com sold me. The room didn't have a heater, but I bought a log of the fireplace […] and a floor heater was left in the room. I probably should have asked for a second floor heater, because there was a cold draft coming from the bathroom. The cashier was really sweet, accommodating, and knowledgable about the area. Maybe I was not expecting much but this hotel exceeded my expectations. I went during the offseason- specifically right after new years. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The added feature of a fireplace in the room was nice, except that no wood was provided. The only complaints about the room were- the heater was kind of quirky- required […] some switches and using the thermostat, never did fully figure it out. The shower was stuck in the shower mode, so could not take a bath even though there was a tub and the Overall smell of fireplace. Of course I did not mind this as I specifically chose the hotel for the fireplace. All in all I would stay there again and would recommend it. The hotel was actually not too bad. The only thing was we were suppose to have a jacuzzi tub and we did not have one in the room. We had a fireplace that we did not even use. Continental breakfast was muffins, orange juice, and coffee, which is typical. We were very close to all the shops, restaurants, and water. Big room with friendly staff. Just two blocks to the Embarcadero. Walked to the restaurant for dinner and the shops.

We stayed here thinking that we were paying a little more for a jetted bathtub only to find it was just a regular bathtub in the room. It was a false advertisement that irritated me. The bed was good, not the best I've had but not the worst. The room was clean but nothing special, kind of small. No alarm clock or any place to connect your laptop to […] the TV. There was no heater or AC. So if you get cold bring your own firewood and matches. The breakfast was worthless. Everything in our room was broken. The remote couldn't turn on the TV. We had to ask someone to come help us turn on the heater. The lamp switch didn't work so we had to plug/unplug to turn on/off. The reception office smells really badly. It's definitely not worth the price we paid.

I was disappointed in the first room because it was very poorly kept. And I found the Management had a "les affaire" type attitude. Accommidations were Spartan but adiquent I will not be staying there again. The people were polite but not very interested in me as a welcome customer. Too bad.

I booked this hotel based on price alone, and was pleasantly surprised. The lady at the front desk was very sweet, Morro bay is a sleepy little town, and there is a nice view of the water and rock. I like that the rooms weren't tacky--they were very neutral, and mine had a fireplace.

Pleasant with the fireplace, we were there in October so that was perfect. Room clean and comfortable with friendly staff.

the manager is very helpful.the view is very nice.the location is close to everything.the only disappointment we have is that there is no airconditioning.october is still very warm in this area. we had to open the windows and the door to let the cooler air in.

Breakfast was very average

Yes, many finer hotels should take lessons.

Motel is showing its age but it is adequately maintained and comfortable. Kind of the old motel, musty carpet odor, but clean. The 2 star rating is accurate. Location is convenient to the Embarcadero. My room even had a fireplace (but no wood or logs).

We were not impressed when we first looked at the place but the room was comfortable and convenient to Morro Bay offerings. Some renovations have been made or WIP. Forget about the spa. Breakfast consisted of packaged muffins and coffee at the frony desk - no seating; certainly not a full breakfast as described. No AC but there's an ocean breeze.

Right in town. Good customer service. Clean, neat, updated room. Would definitely stay again. Loved having the barking of the seals wake me up in the morning.

Walking distance to the harbor and shops. Hotel is basic; price is reasonable. Internet access was intermittent. Management is most pleasant. Stay was more than adequate for my business trip.

Staff was nice. LOVE the location. Room was great. Heater was loud but didn't bother at all. Neighborhood was quiet and convenient to get anywhere!

This is a very old hotel. We booked the king room with a fireplace and were required to buy fire logs from the front desk or go to the market for them. When I tried to blow dry my hair it blew all the circuits in the room which took a half hour for the manager to fix. It seemed like they had started redecorating but had never finished the job. Desk Clerk was very nice. Hotel was clean. It was very quiet and close to the embarcadero. I would go back!

great price nice room big jacuzzi

Loved the Big fireplace. some attempts at upgrading room. Bathroom door basically in shreds. Minimum breakfast. jacuzzi looked scary-all kinds of foam or soap suds floating. Didn't use it. Deck table and chair area was awful...dirty, uninviting.

I guess we are spoiled but we did expect some food in the morning. We did get a downstairs room as requested since the motel didn't have an elevator and we can no longer do stairs.

We were there for the delivery of our great grandson so we didn't plan on staying in the room except to sleep. It was clean and the price was right. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We needed to stay an extra day because the baby hadn't come yet and they made sure we could stay without moving rooms. It was very quiet after a long day in […] the hospital. The room smelled very musty. The coffe pot did not work and you could not get anyone to pick up the phone and the office door was still locked at 7;30 am.

The motel was very basic and OK for the price. Was surrounded by nicer properties that probably charged much higher rates. Good location. Breakfast was the very minimum
