Room Mate Grace

We loved this hotel. Great location to everything you need to see and do in New York. Friendly and clean. Was one of our favourite places to stay and we have stayed in at least 8 hotels in Manhatten. It even has an indoor pool! The rooms were big with comfy beds. Highly recommend.

Overall we had a good stay. Service was acceptable. The rooms were small but expected. Design of the place is great and the pool bar was fun and unique. Location was fantastic, only a half block away from Times Square. I'd recommend this place to friends.

I was very happy with the accommodations as well as the location. I was warned that there is construction on/around the hotel and asked the clerk to put me away from it. Being the day prior to New Years Eve, I was told that there would be no construction. Either the clerk lied or didn't know the truth, but the sounds of trucks echoed through my room […] from 4 am until about 7:30. Great location if you want to stay in Time Square. There is nothing fancy about this hotel other than the bar and pool area. The pictures were a bit deceiving as the hotel rooms looked fancier than they really were. It was basically a dorm room. Overall, the space was good and the staff was friendly. A good value overall.

WELL, THEY NEED TO UPDATE PROFILE ONLINE CAUSE IT DOESNT MATCH WHEN YOU GET TO THE HOTEL ITSELF. THE INTERNET SYTEM THERE WAS OFFLINE..IT SAID COFFEEMAKER/MICROWAVE/REFRIGERATOR, ONLY REFRIGERATOR..SO MANY OTHER THINGS BUT I WOULDNT STAY THERE AGAIN

Extremely friendly front desk service (upgraded my room for free); clean room; ideal midtown location. The boutique hotel has small rooms, which is great since you're just sleeping there anyway. The rooms are not wasting extra space. Each has the basics...

This was a very disappointing stay at this hotel. The television did not work and it was almost midnight before a maintenance man came and failed to fix it. The room was exceptionally small. Did not have a comfortable chair or a reading light. The bed was awkward to get in and out of. There was not even a coffee pot in the room, you had to pay $13 each […] to get in to the very poor continental breakfast to get a coffee. The limo service to the airport was 30 minutes late after paying and reserving it in advance. Overall I would say that this is an extremely overpriced low class hotel. It was like being in a closet. I stayed at this hotel with my 10 year old son on a holiday trip to NYC. We were greeted kindly at the desk and had a room upgraded without asking. I was a bit surprised by the bed up on a platform with 2 sides up against walls and 1 against the window, but the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. We went to the pool twice. The hotel was situated perfectly one block from Times Square. When we finally got to the hotel we learned the the parking deck was two blocks away which took an hour to get to in NYC traffic, then when I got to the room it looked like an Austin Powers movie set! Right next to Times Square and a short walk to Rockefeller Center. Rooms are small, but tidy. Friendly staff. Based upon previous reviews and the hotel site, I thought that the breakfast was complimentary, but it is nearly $15-just in case anyone is under the same assumption I was. In any case, a great stay and would stay there again.

I wouldn't stay here with a family. The place was certainly hip with the lobby pool/club setting but it really wasn't appropriate for children. Fun place, funky, and amazing location.

The staff was excellent. They were very helpful with directions and suggestions. They allowed us to store our luggage with them until our later flight. Very disappointed with the hotel overall. Honestly, I debated switching hotels once I saw the room size/cleanliness, but didn't want to waste one of the three days we were in NYC to do so. POSITIVES: -location is great -front desk staff was friendly (we were given a complimentary upgrade & able to check in at 10:30 am--you can store luggage on days […] of check in & check out) -fun indoor pool w/music, swim up bar, sauna, steam room -comfortable bed -refrigerator in room -nice shower (large with shelves & rainfall shower head with strong water pressure) NEGATIVES: -hotel cleanliness (hair on everything in room, floors clearly NOT vacuumed, dusty, moldy steam room) -hotel upkeep (modern renovations were sloppy, paint chipping off walls, small windows, etc) -room size (we were upgraded to a deluxe room & it was the size of a closet--LITERALLY, sink/vanity area was also extremely small) -swim up bar was not open once during the two times we were there (around 9pm for over an hour each night) & there was no DJ during our stay -CONSTRUCTION!!! (next door--went on AT ALL HOURS of the day/night, 3AM JACKHAMMERING made it impossible to sleep--and we were on the 9th floor!!!) -very small TV -strong chlorine smell on first two levels (didn't bother us, but may bother some; can smell from outside hotel) Lisätietoja

I thought the hotel was very clean and comfortable. It's extremely well located and convenient. The only negative would be that it might not be to everyone's taste and, for a business travel, it perhaps does not offer all of the amenities you might wish to have. I think it would be perfect for tourists.

Overall the stay was fantastic! Rooms at hotel are really small but met overall needs. Crowds were unbelievable, never seen anything like it. On weekends, especially at night, its hard to get around. Very pretty sights iand great shopping if you can manage the hecticness.

the hotel is good but small, but its enough for single traveler as me. its really good location where so closed to Time square, I walked to catch the hop on and hop off double deck, went to see broadway show, rockefeller ,even walk to central from my Hotel..only thing I alil bit dun like is there're some construction going on . but service and clerks […] are really nice and friendly. Raphael who works over night shift @ front desk is super awesome, I'm a foreigner and this is my First time to go on a trip by myself. He provide exceptional service dat makes me feel touched and warm. He is very patient and thoughtful,you can feel positive energy while you're talkiing to him. The staff was outstandingly friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The rooms although small were immaculate as were all the areas of the hotel. For some, it is the perfect location going to theaters and enjoying entertainment. For me it was holiday shopping. the internet says there is a work out facility but there isn't. There is a poor attempt at a gym with a room with a bench and a mat in it, but its a joke. If you dont exercise then this place is awesome.

It was a wonderful stay! The surrounding area was good, but there was a bit of construction going on. Everything was very clean and well kept. It certainly made our stay better being so close to everything!

Hotel Grace was reasonably priced for its location. It is close to all the main attractions and Broadway shows. The room was very modern but the bed is against the wall on a platform. It is difficult for the person near the wall to get out of bed. It is a great deal for the location.

After a VERY minor glitch in a room amenity, we were more than satisfied with our visit. My daughter & I were in the city for sightseeing & a Broadway show. This hotel promotes socialization among the guests. Excellent for the under 50 group. The only quirk is the bed, which is built on a platform. It was a little odd to climb on to. Otherwise, a very guest friendly, service oriented hotel!

Very simple but good hotel. Deluxe beds are VERY comfy. You don't get tons of room, but you're not really going to need it. It's location is incredible as well. 1 minute from Times Square. Losses 1 mark as my room didn't have a safe, but they installed one.

Because of the hurricane it was imposssible to contact the hotel because their phone system was out! We went anyway and the room was available. The room is very small but the bed was incredibly comfortable and it was a breeze to adjust the room temperature. The bathroom needs maintenance as the tile wall in the shower had a major separation and the […] surfaces on the counter were damaged. A small refrigerator was available for our use. A complimentary upgrade to a delux room, less than a block from Times Square, and next door to the most convenient little grocery store. The people of Room Mate Grace were so accomidating and welcoming. I will come back next time i come to the city!!

The room was small. The bed was elevated, and had a foot wide platform from which to access the mattress. But the platform was not padded. A little hard on the knees. The shower was in an enclosed space with the toilet. A separate enclosure would have been preferable. But everything seemed clean, and fairly well maintained. The stay and the staff were outstanding. !!!! This is the only reason for my stay. I ABSOLUTELY. HATE TIMES SQUARE and the proximity was a HUGE detour-ant, however,the quality of the stay made up for the. Location.
