Holly Beach Hotel B&B - Wildwood

Very dated, over priced, and was in a seedy area. Although renovations were sorely needed, the owner was nice.

I'm getting to this a few months after my girlfriend and I stayed there. But we really enjoyed our stay here. The room was small, but we knew that before we booked our room. We only stayed over one night because we had a Whale watching trip the following day. But would definitely stay here again and are hoping to visit again in the summer of 2012 to […] do so. The owners were very helpful and courteous with any questions we had. They even recommended a local aviation museum when they found out about my love of airplanes and provided us with driving directions to and from the museum and mapped out our trip to the Harbor for our whale watching trip as well. Cozy says it all. It's small, but comfortable. Clean. Breakfast served was good, but there were no choices. Coffee and orange juice was served. 2.5 blocks from the boardwalk. The boardwalk was great. Much cleaner than others I've seen. Very cute little place. I liked sitting on the front porch. I also loved Bob's mustache.

My wife and I stayed in Bedroom #10. Small room but very cozy and whirlpool tub was relaxing. Would recommend Holly Beach for a weekend getaway.

This was truly a plesent surprise. We stayed in wildwood only because Cape May Area was booked but so glad they were. Very well kept, clean safe location & friendly staff & guest. Don't heitate to stay here especially if you are in town for USCG Graduation short distant from Base.

When my girlfriend and I fist walked into the B&B, no one was there to greet us. My girlfriend decided to knock on the office door. Apparently this is frowned upon, because the male owner came out of the office pointing to a sign on the door that read, "please ring bell located at enterance". He said in a very annoyed voice, "Read the sign". Granted, […] there was sign on the door that we did not see, but this is not the way you talk to your customers. I also had a situation where I left my shaver in the room. I live in New York, so going back to the Hotel and picking up my shaver is not an option. Long story short: I had to call the owner several times and ask if they had found my shaver. Every time I called I was quickly dismissed. After 3 attempts I finally convinced the female owner to look under the bed for my shaver. 10 minutes later I received a call from her saying she found my shaver, and she said that they would mail it to me, but I would have to pay a $20 convenience fee and postage, because "time is money"! I do not mind paying for postage, but the fact that they were trying to make money off of my misfortune is insulting. The female owner handled this situation like a street vendor looking for a sale. A good owner would have mailed the item and just charged for postage, which I initially proposed to her. Again, this is not how you deal with customers. There are plenty of good B&B's in Wildwood, so avoid this one. The only plus I will give this B&B is that the rooms are very clean and the food was good. However, when you are trying to eat your breakfast, the male owner stands in a corner staring at you. I presume you can call this good service, but to be honest it's intrusive and kind-of creepy. Room was too small and poorly furnished. Bathroom and shower was way too small. Breakfast was ordinary and served too late.

I really enjoyed my stay because it was cozy and great breakfast. The hotel reminded me of a Doll House.

Totally enjoyed stay. Was in area for a wedding at the beach and Holly Beach B&B was perfect. Bob & Cindy were great hosts and staff kept the rooms neat and clean. Will definitly stay again.

We were very satisfied with our stay. The owners Bob and Cindy were very attentive to our needs and gave us great tips and directions. You can't always rely on your GPS while traveling in this region. We would stay at this property again. Plenty of parking.

This B&B was a lovely place to spend the week. The owners are friendly, charming people, eager to please and very accommodating. The breakfasts are unusual and absolutely delicious and the atmosphere very cozy with piano music playing in the background while you eat. Complimentary tea, coffee and chocolates are always available as well. They are located […] only a few short blocks from the beach and provide clean outdoor showers to rinse off sand before heading into the house. The rooms are relatively spacious and clean with comfortable beds and a mini-refrigerator, which is very handy. They also provide a book and movie library as well as a collection of board games for guests to use. Everything in the house appears to be well maintained and decorated with care giving the place a very homey feel. Overall, the stay was a pleasant experience and I would recommend the Holly Beach Hotel B&B to anyone and especially to couples looking for a quiet romantic hideaway near the shore. Lisätietoja

The room was so small, I was claustrophobic. The innkeepers were not welcoming and to the contrary, quite rude. their was no charm or atmosphere in the entire experience. We left and stayed at the Candlelight Inn, also in Wildwood, and the difference was astronomical. If you're going to Wildwood, don't waste your $$ here, go to the Candlelight-it was […] delightful. While the room my girlfriend and I stayed in was quite small, it was very nice. A private bathroom with complementary soaps and hair dryer, a mini fridge, a tv with a dvd/vhs player, and of course free wifi. For the price and quality, definitely worth it. Being the youngest guests there ( 19 and 21) didn't matter to the owners, who where both lovely […] people. The location was great, far enough away from the boardwalk that the hotels full of Prom weekend teenagers couldn't be heard but close enough that walking to the beach and boards only took a few minutes. It's an old building so you get the uneven floors, tight rooms and the like. But it has atmosphere. Our only "complaint" would be that breakfast is served only at 9:30, a bit late for breakfast and impossible for us to partake in because we had a ferry to catch.

The room was very small but was confortable. You an tell the owners does the best to keep it nice and clean

I had read the reviews on hotels.com and knew to expect a tiny room, and it was. But the owners are very sweet and breakfast was delicious. Very nice place to stay if you're looking for just a place to sleep.

We stayed only 2 nights but it was pleasant. Reasonably close to boardwalk. Owners were friendly and offered helpful suggestions about where to eat. Room was on small side but fine for the price.

it was me and my husband's first time at wildwood and we loved the accommodations. Holly Beach was exactly waht we needed and we will definetly go back.

Really enjoyed this bed & breakfast. It was very easy to find and only a few streets away from the boardwalk, within walking distance. It was also conveniently located to a good handful of bars. The room was small, but cozy. I was still a good deal for the price paid. This was a nice quite alternative to staying in a different place that might be loud with obnoxious drunks. The inn keeper keeps a close eye on the place. The rules/policies seem strict, which was fine for me and my intentions, but this definitely is not the place to invite your […] college buds and party. The inn keeper was a little awkward, but means well. The breakfast was good, but portions were towards the smaller side. The coffee was great and the free refills seemed endless. The hotel was within walking distance of the beach and boardwalk as advertised, which was very convenient. The boardwalk had limited variety of shops, as did the neighborhood, which seemed a bit sketchy. We skipped breakfast on day one; day two was delicious but the big guy went away hungry.

Perhaps we're spoiled by the beaches on the West Coast, but this was definitely not what we expected. The hotel itself was okay. The rooms are small and clean, and breakfasts were fairly good with the exception of the canned peaches. (Why canned in July when fresh ones abound?) But the town itself was pretty bad. We just didn't expect to have the beach […] sandwiched between two amusement parks. Going south toward Cape May was an improvement, but the whole thing was still pretty garish and not in the least bit peaceful. Yes, the room was small, but we weren't planning on rollerskating it it. It's more than adequate, and the beds were very comfortable. Also, the room was spotless, including the bathroom.

The rooms are quite small and the shower was tiny. The hosts really try hard to created a cozy environment but at times come off a little unpolished. They were useful in recommending local restaurants and activities. Close to the boardwalk and beach. I loved this little B&B. The only thing was that the room was very small so don't expect to spend too much time hanging out in it and the shower was so small that I couldn't bend over to shave my legs. But other than that it was wonderful! Breakfast was delicious and freshly made. And the owner was very nice and helpful. Nous avons nettement l'impresssion de nous être fait floués. La chambre réservée était si petite que nous avions peine à passer entre le lit (3/4, en passant) et un armoire. On m,'a dit que j'avais ce que j'avais réservé. J'avais réservé selon les photos montrées sur le site. Ce n'était pas su tout conforme à la réalité. Nous avons dû payer une grosse […] surprime pour avoir une chambre plus confortable. Un couple de Québec, vivant la même situation que nous, a préféré partir vers un autre hôtel trouvant la situation impossible à vivre.
