"Great location, pretty good service, renovated"
The hotel was clean and recently updated. Service was good but not outstanding -- for some reason housekeeping didn't come to clean the room (replace towels, make the bed, trash, etc) after our first night. I called the front desk around 4:00 that afternoon when we decided that no one was coming and someone came up immediately but we were getting dressed […] for a wedding and asked them to come back in 30 min. Unfortunately that must have been quitting time because our room was never cleaned. We were traveling with a 3 month old so the diapers built up. They did give us extra towels and a brand-new pack and play as his crib. The room was a tad small and didn't have many places to put the pack and play but we made it work. My mother said that the pull out couch was very uncomfortable but the air mattress she used the second night was much better. The room was good for the price and you can't beat the location. "Perfect Location"
Church Street Inn affords the perfect location for downtown Charleston. The staff was friendly and helpful with all requests. I would recommend that the sofa beds be replaced. It was the worst I've ever been on. However, as soon as the front desk was notified of the problem, an air mattress was delivered that was alot more comfortable. Housekeeping […] didn't go out of their way to clean the room, but we weren't that dirty. (The trash can could have been emptied more frequently in all the rooms.) Would I stay here again? Everything about the hotel and staff was really great. Our only complaint was the fan in the bathroom staying on every time you turn on the light. It's very irritating. But, other than that, it was really a nice place.
"hotel needs work"
very convenient. HOWEVER: Hotel needs work: shower did not drain, bed lamp very badly placed and I needed to get out of bed to turn it on and off, TV very difficult to work, stairs in duplex room very steep, I was never told about 24 hr coffee and tea in lobby alcove. Personnel were nice enough.

"Little Worn"
The lcoation could not be beat! The hotel itself is lovely. Our room was getting a bit worn- very noisy fan in downstairs bathroom, patched walls that had not been painted. Also, most frustrating was very limited lighting so the room was fairly dark once the sun set both upstairs and down. The bellhop was an absolute doll!

This hotel was fantastic in every way. We LOVED it! The location is ideal, right next to the City Market and in walking distance of all we wanted to do. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The best part was the room--it was a two story condo setup with a full kitchen and sitting area. Perfect for a family--we could spread out a bit and it was great […] to be able to eat breakfast in the room and not have to spend time and money going out to eat. It looked like it had been freshly painted recently and the furnishings were all lovely. It was very quiet and we didn't hear a peep from the street or anyone else in the hotel. "Location is key"
We cannot have picked a better location. Right on Market street with a balcony overlooking it. Once you park your need not get in it again since all of the historic downtown district is within easy walking distance. Parking is at a premium so the valet parking the hotel offers can be a deal if you are not going to need your car much during your visit. Great location, nice lobby, most of the staff were pleasant and helpful but several of the cleaning staff and one of the reception clerks were sullen and obviously not interested in their work.

"Loved it... best deal ever"
This was the most amazing hotel deal I've experienced. I had a condo-stye unit with upstairs bedroom/full bath. The main floor had wood floors, half bath, living/dining area and a fully equipped galley kitchen. I got all that for less than I would pay for a regular room (must be due to low season and the fact I was there mostly on week days). I learned […] from the staff that the hotel is part of a time-share system. The room was beautiful, with dark colors of emerald, chocolate brown, and yellow. Much of the furniture had a classic antique feel. While the kitchen had a modern "just built yesterday" new feeling, the master bath was a bit dated, but totally workable. I sense all the units vary, and some were currently under construction when I was there. I had a great view onto the lovely courtyard, which made for a quiet stay. walking distance to everything in Charleston. I was traveling alone and wanted a safe convenient place to stay near the college and this was great. Employees were friendly (housekeeping a little loud, though). Can't wait to go back!

The hotel is very nice. The rooms are spacious (two story with bedroom and bath upstairs and kitchen and living room downstairs). The hotel was quite quiet and well appointed and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was that the free wireless was pretty useless.

I was delighted with my stay at this hotel. The rooms were much more than I anticipated, a true townhoue for the price of a hotel. We were extremely pleased with every aspect of the Church Street Inn. Lovely and confortable room, fantastic location (we walked everywhere) and very quiet as well as friendly/ helpful staff. Highly recommend to anyone wishing to stay downtown in Charleston and not have to move their car the entire time.

The Inn was a really good place to stay. Literally no more than 10 mins walking distance from just about everything in historical Charleston. Right outside the market, 5 mins walking from the bars and restaurants on East Bay. The rooms are all 2 levels, which adds to the comfort ability and quiet. The kitchens have a full range of appliances. You may […] notice when you're trying to book that you can't specify bed-type. You won't be able to do so until a few days before your stay. The accommodated us - we were on a romantic getaway and slated to have 2 double beds which wasn't our preference. Sometimes they can't though so definitely call before. The Church Street Inn was wonderful. The rooms were like townhouses, with an upstairs bedroom and bath, and a downstairs living room, kitchen and 1/2 bath. Due to water damage from a recent storm,we were unable to have a room with 2 double beds,(4 people in party).We're family,however,we couldn't fit in the king bed.we ended up with a roll away and used the sofa.the place is beautiful and is in the heart of historic Charleston.The staff was great and accommidated use quite well.Would go backin a heartbeat […] !!!! "The location can't be beat!"
Our stay at the Church Street Inn was great! The staff were super friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable, and the location can't be beat. We were able to park our car when we got there and walk every where. We didn't actually get our car back till check-out! The only bad thing I really have to say is that the room could use a little TLC. […] It did have peeling paint, stains on the carpet, and definite water damage around the windows. We had a great time at the Inn. There were just a few things we noticed. The windows leaked when there was a rainstorm. It didn't bother us and we kept our things away so nothing was damaged. We were told that they are in the process of renovating the entire Inn so that should be taken care of shortly. We saw/heard work going on while we were there. […] The location couldn't have been any better. You are basically above the market area. We parked our car in the garage and didn't get back in the car until we left 3 days later. We. bi level rooms are very nice had ampel space a full kitchen and 1 1/2 baths. Plus we had our own floor which is very nice when you haave the kids along. Location right in the cvneter of the historic district we were able to park teh car for the entire week everything was in walking distance. Great vacation but too short
