Very nice hotel and people there are friendly

Waiter tried to charge first for complementary breakfast. They should know better.

Stayed there for 2 nights, and it is all walking distance to Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Haghia Sophia and the famous Bazaar. A lot of restaurants in the area as well. Ask for a room facing the backyard, as the front is having the nusance of the tram passing by. That is, if you require some sleep in the night in Istanbul!

If you are looking for a clean bed, hot shower and fab location, this is your place. The rooms are small and the beds lumpy, but its clean and the staff are reserved yet friendly. The hotel is ideally located near all the tourist attractions in the city. The stay was very comfortable. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The people at the reception both morning and evening shifts went out of the way to help and accomodate. Overall it was a very satisfying experience.

On a recent business trip to Istanbul, I stayed at this hotel and found it very confortable with friendly and helpfull staff. I will book this hotel on my next trip

The hotel is an easy walk to the Topkapı palace and the other sites in the old city. The building is beautiful, the rooms smallish but comfortable. Service was uneven. Some of the staff members were very welcoming and gracious while others seemed irritated by my questions and showed a lack of adequate training for a hotel that charges four-star prices. […] There is noise from the tram, which passes right in front of the hotel, but it is not too bad. This hotel is in a central location, but the tram line is right below so its very noisy. The staff is very friendly, maybe even a little too friendly. But overall it was an ok hotel

Not convinced about Best Western 40% discounted rates. As far as I can ascertain, they've simply increased the price on the Net, discounted, and then arrived at the rack-rate advertised at the front-desk! The standards match the price though, except for breakfast - piles of processed food dumped onto a buffet counter with a guy donning a chef's hat […] dishing up help-yourself omlette deviod of ingredients. Nice roof top dining for breakfast with good selection of foods. Some communciation issues due to language barriers but not significant. Accomodating and helpful with recommendations for area attractions and restaurant reservations. Close to important historical landmarks

If you face the street, it's like being right in the streetcar, which passes by the window all night. The internet was spotty, and the service was not great. They seemed more intent on talking to each other than in helping customers. But...location location location

This hotel is located in the old part of Istanbul (Sultanahmed), just outside the Topkapi Palace garden. All sightseeing is within walking distance. The street is a little noisy, as there is a tram running under your window, but neverthless, charming. The hotel quality is what one would expect of Best Western - this is a bidget hotel, with rooms on […] the small side, but clean and air conditioned. The free breakfast is superb with traditional Turkish pastries, olives, cheeses, meets and fruit. In the basement there is a mini spa along with Turkish bath (hammam). Best hotel we stayed at during our Greece, Egypt, and Turkey vacation. Location is within equal walking distance to the Eminonu port and the main attractions (Aya Sofia, Blue Mosk, Cistern, etc). Closest major attraction is Topkapi palace and the public park that surrounds it - great for evening strolls or to catch your breath under a shady tree. Right […] on the metro tracks for an easy trip to/from the airport (operation hours 6am to midnight). Great breakfast buffet (included in price and a great way to save money). We didn't use any spa services but I didn't see anything over $45 for 30-60 minute treatments. I'm a cheapskate and I told my wife to go for it. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is wi-fi in the hotel (I believe) but also a computer that can be rented for 1YTL/12 minutes. Easy for quick e-mails and Facebook updates. Das Best Western Empire Palace ist mitten in der Altstadt. Es hat eine neue und stilvolle Einrichtung und das Personal ist das freundlichste, das wir je erlebt haben. Das Hotel können wir sehr empfehlen.

Muy bueno , servicio adecuado, desayuno podría mejorar, lo único peor es el traslado que es caro. Por lo demás todo muy bien y muy amables en todo momento.

We spent 4 nights in this hotel and we will definitely stay there again. Very friendly staff, cosy rooms, delicious breakfast and perfect location close to all the main sights. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Istanbul.

l'accoglienza dell'albergo è stata attenta , accurata e sollecita, il personale parlava inglese correntemente e si sforzava di parlare in italiano con i clienti italiani. la disponibilità dei ragazzi del front office alla reception è stata impeccabile. la struttura è pulita e gradevole . solo un appunto c'è un cambio eccessivo di asciugamani , sarebbe […] opportuno una gestione maggiormnete ecologica nel ricambio degli stessi lasciando ai clienti l'opzione sul loro ricambio evitando la sostituzione giornaliera degli stessi. le colazioni erano abbondanti e varie , anche li la disponibilità del personale assolutamente impeccabile Lisätietoja

L' albergo si presenta molto bene, abbastanza comodo, visto che si trova molto vicino alle attrazioni turistiche piu' famose, tra l' altro la stazione del tram e' a due passi, da non sottovalutare, visto il traffico caotico di Istanbul! Io personalmente lo consiglio a chi vuole passare un paio di giorni nel cuore della citta'.

Service på hotellet var fin og venlig, men værelset meget småt (så dog at nogle værelser var større). Morgenmad var under al kritik, taget i betragtning at hotellet var 4-stjernet: Frugten var umoden og meget sur, yoghurten var ligefrem dårlig begge morgener, hvilket jeg gjorde opmærksom på og fik den da også skiftet ud. Brød var kedeligt og halvtørt. […] Æggene skulle være blødkogte, men var hårde. Røræggene var kolde og uappetitelige. Ingen juice, men kun kedelig saftevand, og ingen isvand til rådighed. Endvidere kunne man godt forvente et lidt bedre engelsk-niveau. Det var ret svært at kommunikere med personalet, som dog ellers var søde og smilende. Internet skulle man betale for, hvilket ikke er okay på et 4-stjernet hotel. Der findes en hovedpude-menu på værelset, hvor man vælger den hovedpude man helst vil have. Strålende idé, men ud af de ca. 15 mulige hovedpuder, havde de rent faktisk kun 3 på lager.. Beliggenheden er fin, MEN hotellet ligger på en meget befærdet gade, hvor sporvognen larmer fra tidlig morgen til sen aften. Tagterassen er ikke en decideret terrasse, og udsigten er ikke specielt god, sammenlignet med mange andre terasser i istanbul. My booked "Superior room with King Size bed" turned out to be a small twin bed room with worn furniture and with a shower missing one door wetting the floor completely when showering. Furthermore, staff both knocked and called my room asking to clean it when my "Do Not Disturb" sign was on the door. On the upside, the location was great.
