Glenstone Lodge - Gatlinburg

I loved the place. It was in a perfect place and everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice motel if you are going to drive to the strip and other sites.

We loved the indoor pools and hot tub because of the cooler weather when we stayed.The price was very good also.The hotel had a parking lot so we did not have to pay to park to see the main Gatlinburg strip.You do have to be in shape to walk a lot though.However my family already knew that we would be doing a lot of walking before we got there.

Excellent stay within walking distance of the strip. The in-house restaurant was great!

We have stayed there before but were disappointed with this stay. I had requested a refrigerator and it never did arrive-not a really big deal however our room was missed for cleaning and that was a big deal! We were out of towels and the trash was overflowing. hotel pool area not as clean neighboring hotel lot full of old mattresses, hostess was rude to me when i didnt notice tip was included she said it was up to me to be more aware of policy.

My husband,daughter,and I stayed at Glenstone Lodge over the Easter weekend this year. We were a little concerned before we got there because of past years reviews. Loved it

We've been staying at Glenstone Lodge when we visit for the past 4 years in a row. Always a wonderful place, and the people are extremely friendly. The indoor pool is a favorite for my kids, and the breakfast is great. And as a plus, it is just a quick walk down the street to the main strip of Gatlinburg.

pool was dirty and the room door lock didn't work we had to change rooms while we were wet from the pool

Over 30 years ago, we had stayed at this property; we returned to see yesteryear. While there, we celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary at this hotel. With exception of the weekend for this time of year that we stayed, we had the property to ourselves. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and reccommend it to others.

The hotel is aging and in bad need of renovation. The furnishing are dated and worn out. The electrical outlets were not all functional and multiplugs were used as a work around which is a safety hazard. Maintenance of the facility is poor. Room rates are not stable and fluchuate depending on the day of the week and month you're stay is scheduled. Noise […] on the street inhibits restful sleep. Staff and Security are slow to respond to complaints. The bright spots were, the hotel had WIFI (unsecure), and the breakfast buffet was good and priced right. Bottom line, there are better places to stay at a better price. The other draw back was a convention of teenage kids and the hotel was full of them. You can figure out the rest of the problems from this tid bit of information. Finally, this place was way over priced for the condition and services offered! Lisätietoja

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was within easy walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg. We would stay here again.

Had a great time walking distance to restaurants and attractions loved it, we will be back!

Hotel was in a great location however the tv was only a 19 inch. They didnt clean the room until afternoon except the day we checked out room service knocked at 10:30.

This was probably quite a hotel in the area when it was new. Don't let the glass elevator fool you into thinking it is a 4 or 5 star hotel. It's not. It was clean enough, but showing its age and lack of details to make it extra special.

I don't know what else to say other than if the customers who rated Glenstone Lodge so highly would have been a bit more perceptive, we would not have booked and stayed in a crummy hotel for our mountain getaway. First of all, the location was within an inconvinient walking distance of the strip, the rooms were way outdated, and the place was full of […] foreigners. I found this hotel's decor very old in need of a facelift. The room itself was adequate at best. Our room was located in the indoor pool area. The pool area was extremely noisy with many children. There were signs posted that the pool was closed at 11:00 pm. The extreme noise level continued well past 11:00 pm, finally ended about 3:00 am. We found […] it difficult to get any sleep. We chose this hotel because of the rate and the indoor swimming pool. I was rather disappointed by the response of the manager of the hotel when I voiced a few complaints. 1. Upon arrival door to room was jammed. when we finally got into our room the patio door was unlocked and the adjoining room was also wide open. 2. Hotel pool was closed the evening […] we arrived due to someone defecating in the pool. As the pool was opened the next day we discovered as we were swimming that all of the fecal matter had not been removed from the pool.( obviously this is out of the hotels hands when this happens but to find it the next day was a disappointment.) 3. Hotel has wireless internet all over the building but it only works in the lobby or the pool area. Does not work anywhere else. 4. When I voiced my concerns to the Mgr. he just stood there with a blank stare and did nothing to remedy the issues or put me at ease with the issues. Essentially, offering no help. As far as being clean this hotel was clean. I was not concerned with the cleanliness. This is an older hotel and similar to all the hotels in Gatlinburg this has age to the facilities. If I were out hiking and camping and just wanted a clean room with an indoor pool this is a good choice. If you are wanting the comfort of a chain hotel such as wireless internet in your room or responsive service this probably isn't the place for you. I highly doubt we will stay in this hotel again. The glenstone has a great location. Our children love the pool. The rooms are ok. We would return.

This hotel is conveniently located (about a 10 minute walk or less from all the shops and attractions) and the breakfast was delicious! We also enjoyed the heated indoor pools very much especially because it was nasty and rainy outside.

Hotel still has 60's/70's decor and furniture, so old style but not terrible. Beds, are very old though, uncomfortable, lumpy, springs, dips, everything. The best thing was place was very clean and neat, just smelled old also. Pool and restaurant were nice. Decided service was bad when we didnt have hair dryer in room, we called the desk, lady was very […] unhappy to get us one, we had to get it ourselves (thats not so bad) when we got to desk, we asked for extra coffee and she was very put out by getting us something else. Overall a clean Hotel. A little worn out in the room, lamps , carpets etc. But clean and roomy and comfortable. Close to the main strip in Gatlinburg. All the staff was very friendly except one of the night ladies on duty. I would stay there again definitely.

Centrally located in the heart of Gatlinburg. Cozy room with a balcony and fireplace. Bathroom was from the 70's, very small. Nice staff, no concierge but knowledgeable staff at the front desk were very helpful. Beautiful indoor pool and hot tub. The hotel is a little older and needs a renovation badly, but still very well maintained otherwise. Loved […] the indoor glass elevator. Wireless internet was hard to log into and VERY slow so plan your outings on the computer at home. Breakfast buffet was awesome lots of choices and omelets made to order, however try the Log Cabin Pancake House one block away was the clear winner. Best buy for the money it was super clean and the people were extra nice. My wife and I went for one night after our stay I have told everyone how nice this hotel is. We will defently be back for more than just a weekend. The only down side is that it is about half of a mile to the strip. Nice 3 star except for the bed which was like sleeping in Grand Canyon. That made it a 2 star in my mind.

Very nice and clean room. The hotel looks just like the pictures. Great location. Close enough to the main street but far enough away so you do not hear the noise and traffic. The only complaints was the bathroom is pretty small and there was a stain on the floor. Otherwise very good condition and I would stay there again.

Hotel is close to downtown but remote with outside pool and picnic area allowing break from action.

We have been staying in the Glenstone lodge for about 5 years now and love it. They staff is so nice and very helpful. recently we had battery trouble and the maintence guys were wonderful thanks again. We will be back!
