Set on the Ponta da Cruz headland, Madeira's southernmost point, the Pestana Grand Ocean Resort Hotel is a contemporary property which opened in 2004. Situated in a 21st-century apartment district, the shops, restaurants and cinemas of Madeira Forum are 200 metres away, and Funchal Old Town is five kilometres away. Funchal Airport is a 22-kilometre drive.
Hotel Features.
The hotel features a 104-metre saltwater pool, and there is also a children's pool. Complimentary aerobics and yoga classes are available. A health spa offers treatments such as hydrating facials and aromatic massage. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available at the bar and restaurant.
Dining choices at LTI - Pestana Grand Ocean Resort Hotel include a buffet restaurant providing a complimentary English buffet breakfast and themed dinners, a Moroccan fine-dining restaurant, and an Italian fine-dining restaurant. The poolside bar serves drinks and snacks, and a lounge bar with dance floor offers live music six nights a week.
A gate below the pool terraces offers direct access to the three-kilometre promenade along the rugged oceanfront, popular for running and walking. Formosa Beach, 700 metres away, offers a wide range of water sports and one kilometre away there is an outdoor saltwater pool complex and diving centre, Lido. This is a smoke-free property.
Guestrooms.
The seven-storey hotel has 177 guestrooms, all with furnished balconies facing the ocean or neighbouring apartment blocks. Decor is light and contemporary with dark-wood furniture and marble bathrooms. Amenities include safes, cable TV, coffee/tea makers, bathrobes, and compact refrigerators which can be stocked as minibars on request. High-speed Internet access is available in select rooms.

Pieni kartanomainen hotelli. Siisti ja kävelymatkan päästä niin Funchalin keskustasta kuin Lido-hotellialueeltakin. Olimme perheen kanssa. Lapset tykkäsivät uima-altaasta, aikuiset lojuilusta ja rauhallisesta ilmapiiristä. Hotellin asiakkaat joko keski-ikäistä ja vanhempaa tai lapsiperheitä, joissa yleensä lapset eivät enää aivan leikki-ikäisiä. Pikkulapsille ei varsinaisia leikkipaikkoja hotellissa. Rauhallinen. Kuvaavaa että hotellissa ei varsinaisesti ollut "baaria", vaan "teehuone". Samat tuotteet tietty, mutta asenne vähän erilainen asiakkailla.

Pool Bar - Casual, open-air poolside spot with umbrella tables. Open mid-morning to early evening depending on weather, for sandwiches, desserts, ice cream, tropical drinks.
Coast Bar - Split-level contemporary lounge with blue-tile fountains and window-wall offering view of the garden and ocean. Wood dance floor. Live music six nights a week.
Protected by a glass windscreen, the longest pool in Madeira extends 104 metres, in two sections, on the oceanfront side of the hotel. The pool contains saltwater. There is also a saltwater children's pool.
The hotel features a indoor-outdoor saltwater pool; the indoor section has jetted massage spouts with variable settings. Aerobics, pool aerobics, and yoga classes offered free of charge.

"What a view!"
A lovely hotel with excellent views of the sea. The promanade walk outside hotel is great for seeing the sea views.

Jeg har flere gange boet på Pestana Grand Hotel på Madeira. Et 5-stjernet hotel helt i top.Jeg har nu gransket min hukommelse for at finde noget at kritisere, men det er desværre umuligt.

Rien à dire. excellent hôtel dans la zone touristique de funchal. Toutes les commodités à dispo. Personnel charmant. Situation et équipements de l'hôtel géniaux. Du niveau d'un excellent 4 étoiles en France. Plutôt pour un public familial.
