The Conwell Inn is a must-stay hotel if you are visiting Temple University as it is located right in the university. It also is located very near access to the user friendly subway system for travel to the rest of Philadelphia. Although it has no amenities such as a pool, restaurant, or bar, its charm, personable staff, and quality rooms make up for […] those shortcomings. Its a nice little hotel, but the location isn't great. Even GoogleMaps couldn't find it. Be sure to reserve a parking space when you make your reservation because there aren't enough spaces for everyone and the closest parking garage is 3 blocks away.

This was my second stay at the Conwell. I love the convenience to the dorms and enjoyed staying there.

This Inn was even better than we were expecting. Obviously, they have improved since some of the negative reviews I had read. By phone and in person EVERY employee was just super. The entire place is immaculate and the room was beautiful. The bed and pillows were too hard for me but that is a personnal thing. My husband thought they were fine. It was […] a very easy walk to the subway and they had a taxi waiting for us when we checked out. They are A+++++. If we ever get back to Philly we will definately call them first. A descent place to stay, except it needs a serious facelift and, even though the subway will take you to where the attractions are, it is not in an attractive place except if your trip is about visiting the university,The room was dark and the dark carpet didn't help.

I was very happy! Extras all cost money though. That means cots (even if you reserve for 4 in a single room, cots are still more $$), a fridge ($10/night), parking ($18/night), etc. All extra. Breakfast is included though. The hotel is very clean, the staff were all really helpful. This is on a college campus so you can't drive right up to the hotel, […] but you can get pretty close if you make the right turns (it can be hard to find their parking, call for directions..). Very nice hotel, however very hard to find. I feel you need a bigger sign on Broad St. While I was checking in the clerk had 2 calls for directions off of Broad St. I was very glad you had security right under the hotel and I will stay at The Conwell again. This was my second time staying at the Conwell Inn and the room I got was huge, had very friendly staff who were willing to help out with every need and I was even engaged in conversation by one of them one my back to my room to a 20 minute conversation. Great place to stay, great service, great spot, you won't go wrong.

water pressure in shower was below par--new shower head needed perhaps. Mainenance quickly attended to requests though wasn't always able to correct the problem.

The room was excellent, staff was courteous, and everything was what I expected and far better I am really considering staying here for my next stay.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was near a subway station. Hotel and room were nice and well maintained. Exceptions were: the elevator was out of order during our visit, the shower curtain in our room was moldy, and a curtain was falling off the rod.

The hotel location right within walking distance to Temple University facilities is what I like most. However, parking for guests of the hotel should have been provided free like in other hotels in the area.

Located in the heart of campus, this is a great location for anyone visiting Temple U. We also found it great for exploring Philly in general. The neighborhood surrounding the university appears rough at first glance, but we had no issues whatsoever getting around safely. The hotel itself was quaint, clean, and had a very helpful staff.

The Conwell Inn is a nice in right on the campus of Temple University, which makes it very convenient for visiting parents. There are no immenities (refrigerator in room, pool, etc.) but the staff is friendly, respectful, and helpful, and the Inn is very clean. It can be a bit noisy at night with student activities, but the noise level is not too bad. […] They have a very limited continental breakfast, and I found nowhere within walking distance for a decent breakfast. Outside the campus, the neighborhood is not a good one. It is in decay, unfortunately, like many areas of Philadelphia. I chose the Conwell Inn because I was an alumna returning to Temple to meet with former professors and classmates. It was very easy to get to from PHL airport by use of the R1 to Temple, and close to SEPTA for travel into Center City. The room was small but perfect for one, and I was impressed by the business focus with the comfortable work chair and […] free wifi. The bed was very comfortable. If you have a student at Temple University this is a must hotel. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was huge. It is quaint and homey and not a far subway ride from center city. I would definitely stay here again. The staff was very helpful.

Would have been helpful if the hotel would state that the only way to reach them is on foot or prepay for parking. If we had known about prepaying, we would not have had to walk 3 blocks in the rain (Twice). GPS and mapquest think W. Berks is a street in reality it is a pedestrian mall. Wonderful room after find the hotel.

We drove around for 1/2 hour looking for this hotel. The GPS and the directions for the hotel don't tell you that the street they want you to turn on is not a street!! It is a pedestrian mall. There is a small alley beyond the mall to turn in to, but it is hidden. After finding the street, we asked a campus policeman where the inn was, but he didn't […] know. Turns our the substation is right next to the inn in the same building. This made us very frustrated. We knew it would be hard to find, but no one said, the street was not a street. Parking is a problem

Whatever they say about historic inn in the middle of downtown, beautiful rooms with baywindows and tiny stairways with railings leading to the beds, continental breakfast is all true. But on top of that - amazing housekeeping, helpful staff getting out of their way to make you feel welcome (helping with wireless setup, giving directions and info on […] shopping, movie theaters or whatever else we've mentioned we might need) and some little extras like afternoon snacks, fruit, candy. One thing I should mention - if you drive there, call and ask for directions to their parking lot. It is not so easy to find. And also, parking isn't free - they charge $15 a day. Lisätietoja

We spent a long weekend at the Conwell, with two small dogs. There are good dog-walking places all around the hotel, which is in the heart of the Temple University campus. The rooms were spacious, clean, extremely comfortable and nicely decorated. The hotel was quiet and the staff was friendly and helpful. Permit parking is available directly behind […] the hotel for a per-night fee. There is also a per-pet fee. The free breakfast is light--fruit, yogurt, granola bars, cereal, juice. The coffee is good & available all day. The Temple campus is beautiful and we felt safe, even out walking late at night. The campus police office is located in the same building as the Conwell, and the campus is very well-lighted. This hotel would be perfect for parents visiting a son/daughter attending Temple U. One thing to note though, if you want a room with a refrigerator or microwave you'll need to specify that at the time of booking your room. Not all rooms come with either one of those, in fact, my room had neither. Since I was only there for one night it wasn't an issue […] but keep that in mind. Great hotel for the price but in a horrible location. There is about a 3x3 block radius where you are in Temple University with lots of lights and campus police, but if you venture outside Temple you will be in for a surprise (just don't do it). On the upside, the cabs in Philly are really cheap and easy to hail from Broad St.

We are a family of four and we loved this hotel. There were places to eat and a 7-11, right next to the hotel. I was hesitant to stay by Temple University but I felt very safe being right next door to the Campus police. The customer service is stellar. The rooms are very roomy. The beds are comfy. We had some stuff taken from our room and the manager wouldn't meet with us about it and avoided us. They just said it was our problem. The staff did not tell us that we needed a ticket to park in the garge and we had to come all the way back to get one. The hotel is located on a walkway and very hard to find. I would not recommed staying here.

The Conwell Inn is a wonderful quaint hotel tucked on the campus of Temple University. The staff is VERY friendly and cheking in and out was a breeze. The single queen bed room was perfect for two, very clean and had a great view. Definitely worth your money.

I willvisit Philadelphia again in the near future and will stay at the "Conwell INN" again. My daugter ,who plans to attend UPENN and I were amazed by the Hotel Price, Location and Service.

The hotel is located in the center of the Temple University campus and would be especially convenient for those visiting the school. The rooms were spacious and spotless and the hotel staff was superb. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Great hotel, Great Location, Great Service, Great Value!

Excelente atención del personal y gran comodidad en las habitaciones, así como en el servicio al viajero. Si bien la ubicación no es céntrica, se encuentra en la zona de la Temple University, y con una caminata de 300 mts se accede a una estación de metro que conduce al centro en pocos minutos.
