Don't buy the breakfast package!! We added the breakfast for $15 to our nightly stay, but found out the next morning that it only included children ... so we paid $15 for one child to eat breakfast. My husband and I ate at McDonald's... too expensive. The hotel was modern, clean, and comfortable. I love Marriotts, and so when we booked a corporate trip, I immediately chose this Marriott even though it was more expensive than the other hotels nearby. It's an older hotel, off the beaten path (in other words, it's a little hard to find), which isn't a big deal. We arrived at 3, had prepaid our stay through Hotels.com, and had a meeting to be at […] (15 minutes away) by 4:30. Even though check-in is at 3, we all waited at least 45 minutes for our rooms. After waiting for 30 minutes, I followed up and had to go through the process of providing all of my personal information again, along with signing another form, before we got a room. My colleague still didn't have one, so she and i had to get ready in my room, and rush to our meeting. We were late. It wasn't just us, either. Everyone checking in was stuck in the lobby for at least 30-60 minutes. That's just unacceptable - especially for prepaid rooms. I never leave reviews, but felt this was a negative opinion of this hotel, and should be shared with others. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you like older hotels that still make you sign paper copies, and aren't in a rush to get anywhere. Lisätietoja

This hotel stay was great. I was amused and amazed by all the double jobs held by th staff! The Hotel accomodated our group and the staff was outstanding.

My family came down to visit my son, who is receiving treatment at MD Anderson, and me. A couple of us stayed at the hotel. It was clean; the staff was courteous and helpful; we got a great room price. The alarm clock in the adjoining room went off late at night when no one was there, and the desk clerk was kind enough to go into the room and turn the […] alarm off for us. This hotel was in a good place was close to a lot of restaurants downtown mall

The pricing for this hotel was perfect and if i could get prices like this every week or every time i need vacation i wouls LOVE it.

Overall condition of the hotel was good. It was under maintenance during our stay. The AC in the room smelt like mould is in it. Otherwise, the service was good.

Convenient location to most Rice U, Medical Center, and Galleria. Hotel staff courteous and responsive.

We booked this hotel because it advertised as having free breakfast buffet, however after checking in we found out that all Marriott's have discontinued this feature and only has a "Bistro" breakfast that you have to pay extra for. (Needs to be updated) Also I did not like that the "designated smoking" area was right outside the pool area which was […] the length of the whole pool area so when my daughters were swimming as I watched, we were subject to the second hand smoke. The ottomen in our room had stains on it. The air conditioning was not cold enough. Our rooms had only just a few channels of cable but downstairs in the Bistro area they had tv's with DirecTv with numerous channels. Definitely would not stay here again! Lisätietoja

The hotel is decent enough. You can tell it's a remodel of a much less nicer hotel. The staff were extremely attentive. The one thing I regret is no free continental breakfast. $2 for a store-bought muffin? No way.

I'm not sure if it's the structure of the building or just cheap architecture but my husband & I got 2 hours of sleep each night because we could hear every word of the conversatons next door. The first night a group of about 3 people entered the room next door and stayed up talking for hours. The second night a woman was in the room on her cell phone […] from midnight until 5am. We could even hear the person on the other end of her phone even though we could tell she wasn't using the speakerphone. The staff put us on the first floor "because we have a child" but the room they put us in was next to a busy street so we got to listen to traffic all night. Luckily, my 3 year old slept through all the noise. Although somewhat convenient to downtown, the location of the hotel is in a rather unflattering industrial area. Should I happen to visit Houston again, I will most certainly not stay at this hotel. Lisätietoja

The service was outstanding, the room was very comfortable with extra pillows and bedding and the lobby area, pool and restaurant area was accomodating. I would definitely stay there again. The room was a bit smaller than I anticipated but it was certainly adequate.

This was a great experience. The only complaint is that the jacuzzi did not work. The temperature was good, but the jets weren't working. We mentioned it to management, who seemed surprised, so hopefully it has gotten fixed. Not a huge problem for us--we were there mainly on business for just three days and didn't have much relaxation time anyway. I got double charged by this hotel. Even though the full reservation amount had already been paid to Hotels.com, Marriot charged it again to my credit card. The hotel conditions are OK, but the fact that I was charged twice was very frustrating.

This room really exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself was really very nice. The location however was a little hidden, but other than that I would definately stay there again.
